PERSONALITY :　

within her good traits, Chaeyeon is the type of person that makes sure to say hi and genuinely ask people how they are on a day to day basic and to show that she does care for them in her own way. which shows others that Chaeyeon is kind, pleasant, and very approachable to get along with. Chaeyeon shows and gives constant and firm support for those that she also cares for deeply. this makes Chaeyeon become humble with anything she says and does as to not draw any bigoted attention to herself. overall Chaeyeon seeks harmony when caring about others and their feelings not wanting to hurt or offend others.

now about her negative traits, Chaeyeon can be a little deprived of some sort of attention as she would say or do things to fill up that void. but often times she's more concerned with the wishes and needs of others that she'll put them first before her own self. which at times can cause Chaeyeon to be unbalance at times with how she does and say things on an abnormal schedule. then again it could just be that Chaeyeon lacks any real experiences, wisdom, and judgments that may have her behave such a way. still though, Chaeyeon hates seeing others sad or looking down and feels like she has to make sure they're doing well and doesn't want to go against them at all, although over time she has learned that not everyone can be pleased with her despite how she accommodates them.

BACKGROUND :　

Chaeyeon grew up in a nice home, but her parents weren't around much due to their busy schedule of work and so she hung out with her brother more often than she ever did with her parents. the only time she ever saw them were for holidays, weekends, the teacher-parent meetings, breakfast, and dinner. there wasn't anything malicious or neglectful on their part, it was just, how it was. Chaeyeon's parents provided them with a home, food, clothes, and other things that children needed to live their life while under their parents' guidance.

but anyways, Chaeyeon and Junsun played with each other and had one another so when their interests for dancing was a common thing when he was fourteen and she was twelve, they took up dance lessons. this was where Chaeyeon saw her dreams of becoming an idol as she also grew interest with singing and rapping. the latter becoming more of her forte than singing although she enjoyed everything. Junsun encoraged her to pursue her dreams despite what their parents being against her going that route, but eventually they told her if she wants to then go and they'll see how long she'll last until she quits this dreamy dream.

of course she didn't give up and did her best in honing her skills before she did any sort of auditioning because she felt she wasn't ready. it wasn't until Chaeyeon was around fifteen that Junsun finally told her that she was good enough and she should audition for an entertainent since they can still train her there further and what not with professional help. and so she auditioned for several companies as she knew that she wouldn't be accepted automatically. she got call backs from a few and decided to go with CUBE Entertainment as they were still fairly knew, but she had enjoyed the two groups they had debuted along with a female soloist.

Chaeyeon had thought she would enjoy herself at a smaller company than a bigger one and eventually she had passed all of her auditions with CUBEent and became a trainee some time in September of 2010. after training under CUBE Entertainment for more than two years, Chaeyeon was later transferred to MMO Entertainment in February of 2013. although she grew to be close and become family with the CUBE, she it up and would try her best at MMOent and hope to make friends and family here as well, but that didn't mean she would stop visiting her previous company to hang out with her friends there.

Chaeyeon and Junsun interact mostly like best friends as well as typical siblings. they're pretty competitive against one another and won't show mercy towards one another and treat each other like that of opponents. he's a bit protective of her from time to time and always checking up on her when he can and if she's doing well. she finds him annoying, but hey he's her big bro.

they treat Chaeyeon like a little sister and often from time to time. she really looks up to them and respects them, especially towards Mina, Lia, May, Sori, and Kris. although they think she and Kasper make a cute couple since they danced on air before. also Junsun doesn't really approve in a playful manner, but he's good friends with Kasper and the rest though. usually tries to get Kris to teach her English from time to time so she could use it against her brother some time.

while as a trainee they treated Chaeyeon kindly and gave helpful advices despite being busy. saw them as sisters as she never had one growing up and it was nice being surrounded by other feales that weren't her brother or reminded her of him at times. since their disbandment, it's kind of hard for Chaeyeon to see the other four as they went to different agencies, but Chaeyeon still talks with Hyuna and sees her as often as possible.

while as a trainee they, too, treated her kindly and gave her helpful advice as well. but in all honestly Chaeyeon was reminded of was her brothers whom she missed a lot. she really saw these guys as a substitute and grew fond of them over time. and now that five of them have left, it's harder for her to see and hang out with them, but they contact through social media and mobile when can. Chaeyeon still talks with Hyunseung and sees him as often as possible, as well.

Chaeyeon trained with these dorks and they really made trainee life fun despite the long hours of stressing and giving your all to debut and the likes since who knows when you would as day by day would pass on by. again, Chaeyeon saw her brother in them as well and were good substitutes when she was missing Junsun. still keeps in close contact with them and still tries to learn English from Peniel who teaches her well, but teases her a lot, too.

the girls that Chaeyeon could have debuted in a group with as she had trained with them as well before she was transferred. Chaeyeon also saw them like sisters as well as good friends. they created a lot of memories while Chaeyeon was still with CUBE and those can't just be disregarded so easily. Chaeyeon is happy to know that they've debuted as well and can now meet easily if they ever promote alongside one another. still keeps in close contact and even has Sorn teach her Thai and English, but it doesn't always go well and Chaeyeon usually gives up.

despite being under different companies, their companies were sister companies and so they did train together. once they debuted though, Chaeyeon didn't see them as often, but when she did catch them before she transferred they talk and caught up for a bit. although now the girls are under different mangement and Chaeyeon sees them even less than she did before, she still keeps in contact as much as possible and when given time despite all of their schedules.

when Chaeyeon would visit the others she was informed about the new male trainees bunch and they would advise her to check them out. she did and found them adorable and hard-working as saw her trainee self in them when she first started out. at first Chaeyeon didn't think too much of them and would observe their sessions whenever she came by until finally someone introduce her to them. it was really awkward at first, but that part of their introduction was over and she got to know them a little better. Chaeyeon already knew of Jinho and Hongseok as she had seen them through S.M. the Ballad and Mix&Match, but she wouldn't reveal that just yet. it wasn't until later when they debuted that she did and was happy to know that all ten of them were able to debut, especially together since they created a bond and memories with one another over time.

▸ friend — U-Kwon, Kim Yookwon (25) / idol (Block B) / friendly, creative, sweet / kind of close
since appearing as a featured guest on a special stage for Hit the Stage as U-Kwon's partner, they became friends over time as they interacted with one another for his special stage. she also met s after their stage and deemed them as a great, fun, and noisy bunch as well. although they do not contact one another as much, they do message each other about how the other is doing and what other dances they've been learning and what not.

since Jiyoon is the leader, Chaeyeon follows her well and helps her out as much as possible to lessen the stress. at first when they met, Chaeyeon kind of had her doubts about her being the leader as she was sensitive and soft-hearted, but over time it was something that she knew only Jiyoon could handle as she was different about it than other leaders. anyhow, they talk often and about their brothers as they are famous. Jiyoon's being an idol while Chaeyeon's a public figure.

Chaeyeon is close with the other members and to some degree it varies person to person, but other than that she does get along with them and just like family they have some arguments here and there, but that's what makes their bond grow stronger. a little struggling here and there helps with communication and to let anything get off their chest. if every thing was cake and rainbows, then the world would be too happy for its own good.
