okyeon's dad and jk's (unspecified parent) have been friends for a long time, so ok and jk have known each other their whole lives pretty much.

 they weren't all that close until high school though; that's when they realized just how much they have in common, and now they're basically attached at the hip. best friends forever for life for all perceived time past present and future.

 their friendship is a slow burn; neither of them is willing to approach the other, so they just politely greet each other around the house at first, slowly growing closer due to their like personalities.

 he was her senior in high school and oh man she wanted to draw his face soo bad. she ran into him from time to time, but never talked to him except the one time she wasn't paying attention in the hallway and walked into him (she was like "i'm so sorry!" and he was like "don't worry about it i know it was an accident!"). anyway she fell in love for reals instantly. like wow,,,,, he's even taller and handsomer up close,,,, and he's super nice

 they didn't talk at all until ok moved to seoul, though. as okyeon is and always has been and always will be an art ho™ and minhyun likes the atmosphere, it was at the seoul museum of art, in the "korean art in the nineties" exhibit, that they met again.

 she saw him out of the corner of her eye, immediately recognized him, and went to whip her phone out to text jk about it (like oh my god, my crush of four years??? here??? serendipitous), but it fell on the floor really loudly and everyone turned to look at her, minhyun included. but couldn't just leave so she.... brushed it off by pretending to look at the sculpture she was in front of crouched on the floor. apparently minhyun thought it was funny bc he let out like a bark of laughter.... she almost died)

 she was mortified but she had to commit.... also his laugh made her entire life

 he walked out a little while later and she could finally breathe again.

 tbh the first few times they met after that, he thought she was stalking him?? but then he found out she was majoring in painting and all the best museums are closer to his school, so... makes sense. they also seem to have similar taste in cafes bc they often run into each other getting food too.

 it seemed weird to just keep staring whenever they saw each other, so minhyun finally approached her and said hi. they were both awkward at first, but as it turns out they have a lot in common. they're sorta friends now???

 okyeon still has a massive crush on him, but she doesn't really show it when he's around. she finds him pretty easy to talk to

 instead she just frickin screams about how amazing he is to her friends

 ok recently found out he's never dated before, so she technically has more dating experience than he does which is..... so weird to her.

 ok doesn't actually think yongsun is an evil tyrant,,,, it's just a fun nickname

 yongsun is alright with ok bc she had a good application and is a good tenant all things considered, but does call the poor girl out for being especially hesitant with her. like, speak ya damn mind girl!!

 okyeon wants to be closer to yongsun bc her parents said it's good to have a relationship with the owner of your place, but she doesn't know how to go about it.

 so far all ok's done is brought yongsun a nice(ish) bottle of wine when she first moved in (also suggested by her parents. combined with bringing jk along, ppl were like what is this? a dinner party? and ok wanted to Die). she was going to bring a makeup set instead but she didn't want yongsun to think she needed to wear more of it.

 her contact name isn't really indicative of her character alignment so much as she's a mess..... but also a good...

 calls her "yang misun-ssi" for a while bc she's just like that, even though misun quickly tells her to just call her "eonni." thankfully okyeon does that.... eventually.

 partially this is because okyeon is awkward af but she also she thought misun was the same age as her.

 their process of becoming friends is almost exclusively from misun's effort. like okyeon knew she should try to befriend her, bc of their similar majors and living under the same roof, but once again, didn't know how to go about it.

 but she eventually warms up to misun and enjoys spending time with her.

 is convinced jk is mean to okyeon so whenever she says she's going to hang out with him (which happens a lot!! like i said, ok is clingy), misun kinda,,, frowns,,,

 ok has had to explain several times that he is definitely not being mean, he's helping her improve her artwork and he's such a nice boy.... pls dont hate my actual twin brother

 but misun thinks okyeon's just covering up what's bothering her like usual.

 honestly she had a great first impression of him bc he helped ok move in. she was like "omg is he your bf" and ok was like "no!!!" and misun was like "well you should date him or i'll make it happen >:-) look how whipped he is 4 u" and okyeon was like "pls dont also his mom called and said he had to help me or else"

 ha get it cos he's super fashionable n givenchy's a famous fashion designer so he's like,,,, the next givenchy.

 tbh they don't talk much  initially, but they stay out of each others' hair, so one could say they get along well.

 but once she gets closer to misun, she inevitably has to get to know him.
