personality.

within her good traits, chaewon is the type of person that makes sure to say hi and genuinely ask people how they are on a day to day basic and to show that she does care for them in her own way. which shows others that chaewon is kind, pleasant, and very approachable to get along with. chaewon shows and gives constant and firm support for those that she also cares for deeply. this makes chaewon become humble with anything she says and does as to not draw any bigoted attetnion to herself. overall chaewon seeks harmony when caring about others and their feelings not wanting to hurt or offend others.

now about her negative traits, chaewon can be a little deprived of some sort of attention as she would say or do things to fill up that void. but often times she's more concerned with the wishes and needs of others that she'll put them first before her own self. which at times can cause chaewon to be inbalance at times with how she does and say things on an abnormal schedule. then again it could just be that chaewon lacks any real experiences, wisdom, and judgments that may have her behave such a way. still though, chaewon hates seeing others sad or looking down and feels like she has to make sure they're doing well and doesn't want to go against them at all.

background. 

when chaewon was three, her mother walked out on the family as she couldn't handled having a mute daughter and a second supposedly muted daughter. plus she missed her life when she didn't have responsiblities and only had to look out for herself and no one else. since then, chaewon's father was the one that raised them on his own and discovered that chaewon wasn't a mute, but just acted like one to be like her older sister who couldn't talk.

anyways, over the years, chaewon always felt like she had to make up for her sister's silence and nonverbal ways by being the louder of the two and she would always crack jokes for her sister and father so she could see her sister smile who couldn't laugh. and her father who always seemed tired when coming home from work and what not. chaewon really loved seeing her family smile, especially her sister's since she glowed with such beauty. also her father didn't seem that tired and old when he did, too.

it was when chaewon was twelve when she and her sister were out and about walking their pet dog during summer time who suddenly ran off and tugging its leash from out of chaewon's hands. the sisters ran after it and they somehow ended up at some secluded area of the park where their dog was being petted by an old man. at first they didn't want to approach him because he was an elderly old man because he was dressed in an over coat that was way to hot to be worn on a very hot and sunny day.

anyways, it was at this time where chaewon had to speak because her sister of course couldn't and when the two approach the man, he had cast them a friendly smile which eased both of their hearts. more for chaewon than her sister. after a small chat about this and that along with the topic if chaewon had the ability to talk to animals and shift into anything she wanted, what would she think about that. chaewon of course said she would love to be the voices for the animals as well as turned into any animal to play with them better. the man smiled at her answer with a nod of his head like it was an approval.

a few more minutes later, her sister showed her the time and that they had to get going because their dad would be coming home. her sister waved while taking the dog and chaewon lingered behind a little longer to talk with the old man. she asked him how he knew her name and he replied that it was fate. he offered his hand for a handshake and chaewon took it without much thought. she soon felt something warm emitting from his hand when she held on to it, but didn't think much of it as she thought it may have been because it was a hot day and he was wearing a coat.

after that, the old man bid her a goodbye and told her that within a year, she should opt for a cat next time as a pet. chaewon didn't get his meaning until a year later when a cat happened to followed her on her way home from school. chaewon thought it was just a coincidence and the cat was going the same way as she was, but when she arived home and into her room, the cat was already inside with a rolled up letter in its mouth.

chaewon was hesitant, but the cat motioned the letter towards her and she found that adorable. she opened the letter and read its contents but it made no sense to her as it was talking about a Silver Lake Academy and magical abilities and what not. chaewon thought it must have been a joke until the cat spoke and she just stared at it until the cat spoke again and explained everything from that of a year ago and to now.

the cat explained that his last owner who was the old man she had met a year ago had passed on his powers to her because she was his fated one to pass it along. and that he, the cat named Koko which he still despises to day despite being named that a very long ago by his first owner, was there to assist and aid her in anyway possible until it was time for him to move onto his next successor and repeat the whole process again and the likes. until now, he was stuck with her and he would do his best to educate her for her enrollement at SLA.

for now, her first ability was to communicate with animals and that was gifted to her upon opening the letter and Koko deeming her worthy enough to handled it. while her second ability to shape-shift would come within a year as it was a tougher ability to control and handle and she wasn't ready for that unless she proved Koko other wise. anyhow, Koko advised her to tell only her family of her abilities and what not as she wouldn't see them often due to the importance of learning and controlling her abilities better and of other magical things that she wasn't really taught about.

at first, her family didn't believe her because magic was just make-believe and only of fairytales and childish thinking. chaewon proved it by having them take their dog to do something in another room and that she would ask the dog what her father and sister did or say that chaewon wasnt aware of. they believed her when she asked their dog, Daebak, what they did and relayed the information back to her father that he had bet money on some slots and lost quite a bit while she told her sister that she had written to Daebak that she had a crush on this boy at school and was too shy to get to know him better.

they believed her after and then she explained to them everything that she could that Koko had explained everything to her. she didn't know when she would be living, but that she should be receiving some type of letter or something to announce her enrollment at Silver Lake Academy to began her studies of magical things and what not. she was nervous, but kind of excited. but she was more curious as to why she was given these gifts when anyone else in the world could have been blessed or cursed with them instead.

– talking and playing with animals especially with Koko who attends SLA with her as her familiar, reading books, coloring in color books, helping out the new kids, practicing her magic better, shifting into smaller animals to sneak around the school campus, writing letters to her family, watching others play sports, doing hand signals as her own inside jokes
– when she's upset she signs out her frustrations because no one else will understand what she means and she can get away with that thing for her own self, talks with her hands when she's excited or telling a story or joke, rubs her elbows when she's nervous or unsure, when she's bored or is thinking really hard she puffs up her cheeks, cracks her knuckles before writing or doing something hands-on
– hates balloons for no reason at all, likes ketchup but not tomatoes, likes likes mash potatoes but not whole potatoes, has an unhealthy addiction for nail polishes, porcelain dolls freak her out, was born left-handed but got taught as right-handed although play sports with her left side, the number 4 is her favorite number despite its unlucky symbolism, when she shape-shifts her eyes changes to the color steel blue, favorite color is green, she can't draw for the life of her.
– concerning her abilities, chaewon can speak to any animal, but not every animal wants to speak to her unless they form some sort of trust with her which usually results with chaewon being persistent in speaking with the creature unlike she would with people. as for the shapeshifting, she can shfit into anything and anyone, but how long she keeps the form varies.

relationships.

– father :: lee kiwon (53) / assembly line worker / hardworking, thoughtful / they're close and chaewon wishes you could do more things for her father than she actually could as she knows he's getting older and not any younger. they don't talk a lot, but they get along well enough for chaewon to understand her father's silent body language

– older sister :: lee chaeyeon (24) / animal caretaker / caring, patient / theyre super close and they comunicate a lot. her sister is the one that has to ask how chaewon is doing on behalf of their father who doesn't want to make it to obvious that he's worry and what not. her sister had taught a lot of things to chaewon despite her not being able to speak. her sister makes up for that in other things that doesn't need a voice to use it. chaewon goes to her sister a lot when she needs a word of advice or just some words of encourage and reassurances to know that she still matters to life and what not.

   a little personal

what are your weaknesses. i'm too friendly and believe that everyone is my friend and assume that they will be just as nice to me as i am nice to them. also i'm not assertive and tend to let people just kind of walk all over me.
what are your strengths. i'm optimistic, but a realist. i think. i see the bright side of things and always believe in that little sliver of light that things will be better. i know that its not easy or ever that easy, but we just have to trudge on through it right? the best of days are getting through the rainstorm to see that rainbow shine through.

how important are the other students at your school to you. i think they're good people so i guess they're important to me. they haven't done me any real harm and we're only human. we should love and respect one another.
if you had to choose between your friend or a complete innocent stranger, who would you save. why. wow. this is a tough one. but going by what i know as my friend is someone who is capable of saving themselves as i'll save the complete innocent stranger as they're innocent and even though i don't know them, they weren't aware of the situation.

if the only to save the world called for sacrifice, what would you sacrifice. i would sacrifice myself. i have done plenty within my young life to save others and the world. i have loved and been loved much, i have always laughed a lot, and i have lived often enough to know that i've done well.

scenes requests.

– wonwoo claps his hands twice and sees that chaewon responds to it, but she doesn't know that he was the one doing it. he does it a few times to test it out and find it adorable she responds to it. eventually tells her later on that he did it to see why she would do it and she tells him the reason.
– when she's signing, someone catches her and thinks she's doing some type of spell, but nothing happens. person doesn't know what to think or make of it, but sees chaewon in a different light a bit.
