okay...so i've been seeing the increase of nitpicking on KARD at like...every other site n charts comments n blogs n so on...and by now...my response is just eyeroll...though eventually i'll want to explode some too...

ppl keep saying their songs are all the same...nothing special...

ppl keep saying they're only popular for being mixed gender group...

ppl would just find anything to nitpick...since there's not much to criticize forreal...

but imagine if KARD, the same people, style, music n so on is from...SM/YG/JYP or any company with everyone's fav oppars/unnirs...i can guarantee a hundred percent that the response wouldn't be this cold, prickly, harsh and criticizing...in fact, they'd probly be praised to death...aesthetic n blabla whatever crap trending terms people would use...

ppl say kard is only popular for being mixed gender...yeah then how bout asking all your fav companies to make mixed gender groups too and we'll see...and if they are popular for that reason, so what? it's not like other popular groups are all popular for being musical geniueses, are they? there are the ones popular for being handsome, pretty, cute, y, fierce, funny, personality, so on...what difference is that from being popular for being mixed gender n displaying addictive chemistry? it's not like ppl don't ship like crazy in same gender groups. and if it's as easy as being mixed gender to become popular, how come no big companies went with it first in the past few years...like i fail to see these complainers' lopsided logics.

 

ppl seem to be in fear of their potential ability to trample on their opparunnirs popularity...and i don't even know why the need to be so insecure...like...different market yo...

and if it's their opparunnirs...they'd fiercely defend the same sound as their music style....any people who really listen to KARD can easily tell the songs apart even if they're same style...or even if they don't like some...bcuz they are...different songs afterall. saying they're the same is like saying all ballad/hiphop/trot/techno/jazz/rock/country/etc of same genre/type of music are the same. you want same sounding songs...try brave brothers songs...especially the ones he made and gave to different idols in same time frame...goosebump..

but this is same group...it can be music style...AND...they've just debuted...for crying out loud....for those who are not their fans...this should be their first song...so what is the deal...? why does it concern any of you even if their debut song sound similar to their predebut releases that were supposed to introduce them and their debut to you?...when you're not even interested in the group? i don't get it? casual listeners usually just listen to title track for idols they're not interested in...cuz isn't that the most natural thing to do in kpop? how come you find them nothing special but still have all the time to check out all their stuffs, analyze and find all the negative things?...if i don't find a group's song impressive...it stops there....i most likely won't waste my time on anything from them again unless i come across something that sound really worthy in my ears.

other popular groups only get criticized for sounding the same after a few years and multiple releases...but kard...at their debut??!!!!! does that even make sense?!!!!

in the time you're worrying about KARD's music...go worry over your oh so perfect opparunnirs...oh...i forgot...no matter how crappy their stuffs...they'd still sound golden to you...alrite...brilliant. seriously...many times i've met situations where i see super humongous praises for some songs from popular idols...and when i tried the songs...i was left feeling...'what? this was the song they're gushing about?.....ok...' frankly...if those songs were by some nugus....a hundred percent sure no one would bat an eyelash...or even criticize them for being boring....double standard is awezome...

 

and kard's songs sound the same? well...recently i tried some songs from a popular idol everyone lurves that shall not be named and guess what....their song sounds like kard's...but i guess...that's phenomenal..cuz oppars!!!! if they had released the song first, everyone would be at kard calling them copy...but of course...nobody's gon attack ppl's fav oppars...so talented omg...

 

i worry for the members now...cuz ppl will start nitpicking them next...if they haven't already...as if the ugly fanwars between Somin's n Jiwoo's stans aren't annoying enough already...

 

and btw, BM has a lot of singing parts in their songs, or if you'd call it melodious rap...cuz they sure don't sound like rap...J.Seph has proven his singing a lot of times even if not in their own songs(wait, he did, Rumor)...just you wait till he gets a solo...i'm sure he's dying for it...seriously when BM n J.Seph eventually does a duet...ballad or whatnot...you better not pretend to not notice it, (now all i need is for Somin to start rapping...even though she really doesn't have to...but for the sake of proving their talents to ppl who nitpick even when other groups' multitalentedness in singing n rapping ain't all thaaaat)...and if you watch all the past mixed gender groups...it's always been the same - girls sing n guys rap...i don't see any of them getting attacked for it...KARD in fact is branching out...they only had those same role in oh nana...and afterwards...the guys have started having singing parts n Jiwoo started having rap parts...

 

i even saw like blog or disc or sth saying...they don't sing live? whaaat? seriously...if you don't even watch them...might as well not go deep...if you're talking bout backtrack in music shows...oh...every freaking idol has it...although i fairly remember how JQT started to become talk of music show viewers bcuz of how they sang near 100% live and that's seriously rare(too bad i couldn't find back their MR removed)...even the parts that usually groups don't sing live...i miss my fab girls...and what's even more special...their concept wasn't exactly cute or y or tryhard hephap swag...they just had a nice balance...i'm still bitter bout how things turned out for them...

 

anyway...i'm lazy to pick up all KARD's live perfs...cuz that'd mean...ALL perfs...too much job for me...this is something i've been enjoying since i kinda like the song too...and....

they both sound beautiful despite shaky n seem not very confident/well versed with the song but Jiwoo just blew me away...her rap n her singing both...whooo...she reminds me of JQT's Minjung now...the member who's badass rapper, sweet vocals, leader n maknae all at once(until later on they changed the leader to the oldest member lol)...her type of voice is seriously my style...i'm just worried if she'll be in trouble of controversy...cuz honestly she's not the best at managing her expressions...though she's all smiley towards the fans...she can be captured looking pissed off or not pleased at something/bothered...and i'm just worried cuz Somin is such a smiley girl that comparison is bound to happen...Jiwoo is a really smart n sharp girl...always correcting when her members(especially the guys) said wrong thing n so on..even though she came out a lil too fierce...and idgaf kinda attitude,...but she takes care of her team well...i mean...J.Seph totally depend on her whenever he's in trouble or at a lost for anything...BM and Somin usually don't talk that much...but for BM...ppl would be understanding that he's from America n so on so he might not be as flowy in communication...and Somin just give the usual sweet answers so there's not much to dig...and afterall, fans defend that she's main vocalist so she'd need to preserve her voice...so that leaves Jiwoo to do a lot of talking...but still...people go on complaining she's hogging the mic...i was watching a radio show with FT Island's Hongki as the dj and Jiwoo surprised him by aggressively correcting BM and J.Seph...and then when the dj asked question that usually J.Seph answer quirkily...and Jiwoo tried to ask J.Seph to answer it...he simply refused and mischievously made face like he's enjoying her feeling tortured while trying to answer the way he does...he seemed satisfied with her answer though(she really pointed out the exact points he always did lol) n she seemed like she'd strangle him later...lol. it's a relief to see their relationship back to normal...idk bout you...but i've been noticing they being pretty strained the past few radio show guestings...like they got into a fight when they're usually the most playful with each other...and Jiwoo isn't inconsiderate...she did try to direct some questions to her team mates when she noticed she might have taken their question earlier while correcting them....Somin has been pretty quiet lately n mostly just laugh and answer a few questions...like ppl say, maybe she's preserving her voice...which is...fair enough since her team members can take care of the talking. and frankly she has a lot of parts in their songs, she can get tired...that's where teamwork comes.

and while i know MR removed vids aren't the best to prove one's singing live since there are those prerecorded thingies and whatnot tricks to get away with fake live stages...you have to try really hard to not be able to tell when they're actually singing live or not...frankly DSP ain't as rich or detailed as your fav companies to have all those tricks prepared...(some fans even pointed out how the girls always have the same two pairs of shoes to perform in...)

just watch each and every of their single perfs on their tours n so on...if you care so much...

 

 

And what is there to worry about KARD's popularity....cmon...they're not on thaaat level to get free easy win right on their debut...see...they haven't won music shows have they?

they didn't come with package of crazy support n fans...they gain fans from they themselves and what they present...while so many idols from big agencies or the ones with seniors that you love...get love just for being from same company right off the bat...let's not try to deny the obvious...it's cringe.

while kard...is from where? DSP...the company ppl love to throw rocks at...(alongside Star Empire...both being the companies that have the most number of my fav groups lol)

so...at least they deserved that much respect...for earning all that they have even if it's still not as strong as those who earn it for free...and how else can you give that respect...but shuting up even if you don't like them or feel threatened for opparunnir sake...i know it's not your opparunnirs fault they're from high influenced agency...and they deserved credit too blabla if they're good...but it can't be denied, they're already in many kpop fans' favours even before they proved anything of their worth...seriously.

but did ya ever see me making posts to talk crap on those popular groups i don't like...in specifications n details and all...no. cuz i ain't give a damn bout them...and i still don't want to get murdered by crazy fangirls/fanboys.

but why do people have all the extra effort for KARD even when they don't like 'em...haaa...

i know...in my previous posts that talk about KARD i've criticized them too...and their song...and maybe i am a hypocrite...and feeling entitled just cuz i like them....my criticism comes more from my great expectation for them n knowing their ability...of course it doesn't make my criticism any better than others who are not fan....but seriously...if you don't even care bout them...just don't...

 

i'm waiting if anyone will nitpick wanna one...i do find them boring n nothing outstanding...even the debut song...not even the visuals is all that outstanding...but at the same time...despite their crazy popularity...they're not from big 3...but fangirls tend to be biased for oppar...so i'm not sure if they'll be getting such attention like KARD...

besides....wanna one is more popular with their disgustingly crazy fans in Korea...and they won't be around for long...so...despite them having the bigger craze...i feel ppl are more threatened by KARD for the long run...i think it'll be interesting to see how they're accepted...besides...international fans tend to copy K-fans fads at times...to show how legit they're...but it depends on who i guess....but since wanna one's craze with k-fans are so biggg....i doubt international fans would resist the awesome wave to be followed...this will be interesting to see...but then again...i'm not really interested...i'm even thinking of taking a break from kpop news sites now that they're debuting cuz things get ugly with the high intensity of craze...kard's popularity in korea is nothing near that.

BM - only anticipate on doing the twerks at whatever chance he got....lmao....still the same as ever...haha...

and that moment when J.Seph scolding/calling for Jiwoo to come to him bcuz she's not coming to backhug him...n seemed to be confused n heading towards bm instead...lmao....gaaahhh shipper feels...J.Seph of course, captain of the cofee & muffin ship....so if you want to scold shippers...start with scolding the captain first...k....heh...(and lol, J.Seph scolded Somin too when she didn't go forward to do his rap part...lol. even with his smiley face the entire time, he's like a scary/strict dance teacher or sth)
