so they finally debut...

so...i've been meaning to make a post for kard for sometime but for some reason...i'm a lil lazy...

let's get it together n do it...

(opening this new blogpost thing to start while listening to Pureboy lmao-sorry...it's the only song in my player right now cuz i'm in the process of translating it....oh nobody asked? cool....tsk..)

so...KARD debuted...

and might i add they debut BIG...

with already huge army of crazy fans...

and superstar-treatment...and might i add this will go down in history cuz no debut get superstar treatment unless you're from big3 companies...or some hyped show acknowledged by the whole nation like produce 101...

even though dsp used to be big2 wth sm back in the days...but i'm sure big3 fans would have none of that fact...

and dsp has been one of the go-to companies when ppl feel the need to shiet on companies/idols and wanted to save their opparunnir from being in that spot.....yup...

i think the last of dsp group who really debuted big was ....ss501? but that was before youtube and before kpop got so global...so....yeah....

kara was treated like a flop when their debut was the most badass of all popular-ish girlgroups of their time...shame.

so...now...could KARD be the biggest act of dsp in the new kpop(stressing on 'new'...chill sechskies, finkl n ss501, n kara fans)

yup...definitely...

ok so here's their debut song MV...

i don't care if i'm gonna get hate for this...but...i'm not feeling it much....it's an alright song, with stunning albeit generic MV...

but if you put this next to Oh Na Na, Hola Hola is likethe filler track...(my opinion, i don't need you to come argue how wrong i am...blabla)

Oh Nana...had a mixture of elements that make for a more effective and impactful song methinks...would've been so perfect for debut...all their other songs - Don't Recall, Rumor, and now Hola Hola...all trailing behind...actually...even for music video...i prefer Oh Nana by a long shot than Hola Hola...you don't need big budget to make something impactful...oh nana really does look like a perfect debut MV...it shows an introduction of the members, and how they come together, which is what a normal debut intended....but i guess KARD's debut didn't aim for that...since they're already jumping right in the middle of superstardom now...why not flaunt it?

hmm....idk...i still prefer oh nana by a longshot than the rest...

and i still feel hola hola is a filler...

i guess my expectation on kard is high cuz i look up to their awesomeness...i wouldn't care if some other big names release shietty songs...cuz why would i care...i'd be so pleased cuz i don't care for them,...lol.

but in kard's case...i'm a lil disappointed...it's alright but i expect more than alright i guess...

but when they already have swarm of crazy fans...any and everything will be fiercely defended...so don't come at me...not interested...

I've been telling this before...

i've been feeling more n more detached from KARD especially since Rumor...and the following tour, and so on...

i guess...i'm really fine with them having other cultures' influence in their music...i mean kpop is never that korean anyway...but with Rumor...it sounded like some latin song in Korean...not kpop song with latin influence or sth...

so...i'm left feeling indifferent...

and i've been getting the feeling that kard's target market right now is western or edgy...and i'm neither...lol. like i said...i don't mind a group that is carefree or use english a lot(i love that actually) or yknow...not like your typical kpop group...but at some point...when you can't relate anymore n sort of lose connection...you left feeling like an outsider watching...i know none of this make sense...forgive my lack of vocab to express what i really feel looking at the situation...

but kard feels very american or western and so on....and i'm just a regular asian who's not even egdy who loves kpop for the kpopness of it...well, not just kpop...but even for k-indie, krock(since i've been quite detached from mainstream kpop with a few exceptions)...when they started sounding or trying too hard to be western...i'm like...bye...but oddly...Golden Pops is/was a Korean band that sings all in english with some very english accent at that...but oddly...i feel connected to them/their music...it's all in the impression....they might sing in english...but they don't give off this....western vibe...so i wasn't left feeling....???? yknow...eh....whatever...

anyway...i still like kard...especially for my coffee and muffin...

(am i the only one who sees jiwoo as the coffee and j.seph as muffin...lmao)

and i think the upside/downside of all the hardcore shipping among kard members...is that...

when they date with ppl from outside their group...nobody will notice cuz they're so deep in the shipping...

or...when they date outside of the group...crazy shippers would turn against them for 'betraying' or some shiet...(this is the scariest...let's hope it never happens)

and i'll still be a not-hardcore fan...who checks out their music when it comes out...

but yeah...that's it...

let's talk a lil about their debut stage...

(dear mnet, how bout using 'official debut' instead of comeback???? isn't this the first time they're performing on your stage? it's a debut...haha...when tv stations are just as confused of their situation cuz of their uhm...unique predebut phase as well as their crazy popularity)

i'm a lil disappointed they performed don't recall instead of oh nana, even though that means some badass moment of my jiwoo....but still...it felt less meaningful for some reason...hmm...oh well...let's hope they're saving oh nana for other shows debut stage if they get two songs to perform as well....something companies other than big three can hardly dream of....

Okay, let's talk about this stage though....Somin, totally looking comfortable...and confident like a pro and veteran...as she should since it's not her first time being an idol....this time...getting more cheers than ever...BM...i'm a lil surprised he kinda drowned...either that or the camera didn't love him that much? or what? i keep lost notice of him....and Jiwoo...i can totally see her nervousness even when she smile...hahahah....cute but she's totally fighting it...but the real shocker comes from J-Seph....who'd have thought...how could he....look so damn comfortable n owning the stage and loving it...like boss...whoawhoa...i'm so shook...J-Seph....the member who you will think you're already used to his ability to surprise you all the time...and then he jumps up to surprise you some more....and you're surprised again...

As of this moment, my interest in kard isn't that high...due to my decreasing interest in the recent songs...although badass Jiwoo is always a plus point...

but...i guess...Jiwoo will be enough to sustain my interest for quite a long time at least at this level....and also...my coffee muffin ship...yeass...

other than that...

Congratulations on your debut, KARD!
