feel free to do it, humans~ (and if you do take it from here, please just credit the user above, not me...thanks)

for me i'm doing all the points #11...we can call this produce 101 edition since i'm obsessed with this show recently(ok just my kids not the entire kids/show tbh....and well, even last season i was obsessed lol)....and they're looking for 11 winners rite? haa...so 11 it is...but you can have however many points you want.

please don't find it offensive...this is just my  personal preference n not any sort of personal attack or anything. so...

As a Writer...

Things I Like:

  1. Rebeling against popular trends. I used to not write OC in this site...but when i see so much hate for OC, i started having the desire to write OC just to prove that OCs doesn't or become mary sue by nature/just for being OC...you/we, the writers are the ones who make them or not, so don't go blaming them for it. haa. and i used to write boyXboy fic...but the desire decreased when i see all the sentiment that =good fics. i despise ridiculous generalization. but i will still write if i really get the feel/idea for it.
  2. Writing about idols/celebrities/pairings no one cares about. or even an all-OCs fic with no names. i'm lazy like that.
  3. Writing fics on a spur after being inspired by song i'm listening/drama/show i'm watching, without even properly planning the plots/characters. the ones i carefully plan always end up unwritten/unpublished...so...spontaneous ftw.
  4. Starting multiple fics without completing old ones. well, i don't really like it...but i keep doing it, so it must mean i like it, no? But tbh, i love completing fics the most...sealing it by ticking that completed box is the best feeling in the world. T^T.
  5. Writing first person POV...well, i tried writing 3rd person from time to time...i keep trying...but the click of connection isn't as strong as when i use 1st person...i like getting the honour of being my characters whether they're idols/OCs or whoever.
  6. Writing fics/characters rooted/somehow related to entertainment industry. well, somehow my fics/characters always end up related to this theme.
  7. Mixing reality and fiction. Confusing people is fun activity. Once i wrote about reality show...and my fic kinda suggested that what you saw on TV, was after a huge part that would make a huge difference was edited out. And even i thought that is a very possible thing...we always think we know everything from what we watch...but there's always more to the story.
  8. Writing stories that makes myself sad/depressed somewhat/cry. idk...i like those feelings. even from i was little...i'd do spontaneous storytelling to my sis and my goal was always to make her cry but then i'd always got in trouble when she sobbed loudly.
  9. Writing stories about life, personal struggles and growth, or stories rooted to characters's thoughts/feelings, human connection(not necessarily love/romance), underdog's tales/journey, reflective stuffs, or things that make you think, and realistic stuffs...you know..those boring thingies people don't really care for...but sometimes i like to write really weird things too. i just like to write what i want to read but couldn't find.
  10. Getting comments that shows the reader actually read the fic/update. Long or short is fine as long as you don't just subscribe and that's it. /nudgenudge to my silent subs/ Seriously, just getting comment from my readers make me so happy, even once when a reader said she wanted to punch me in the face, it still made me kinda happy... but now i've almost come to accept that i don't have readers. lmao.
  11. When readers respond to my questions, or the question marks i left the update with. I love playing guessing game with readers. and i like it when readers are willing to play the game with me.

Things I Dislike:

  1. Starting too many fics without completing old ones. But i can't help it...my ideas n imaginations are too actively coming and leaving...lol
  2. The fact that i'm stubborn and keep wanting to write things nobody want to read even when i know i want readers and for that, i need to succumb to market demands that i know quite well...but what do i do...i'm stubborn, my pride is too great.
  3. When readers come to attack me for not serving a cliche generic happily ever after ending. Nobody promised you for such endings. should've expected it when each chapter took you by surprise, no?
  4. When readers/subscribers don't comment. like...at all. ugh. Not even when i ask anything, not even when i beg for response...
  5. When readers unsubscribe...i mean, yeah sure if the fic is 'subcriber only' and you sub and read a bit, don't like it...go on n unsub...but otherwise..i'd rather if you take your time before actually hitting that subscribe...i know it's their rights...but i dislike it ok...especially there's this one story..everytime i updated, there'd be unsubscribe...one day i just update telling them to unsubscribe now if they're going to do it later...and nobody did..and the moment i resumed back to the chapters...unsubscribe. just...great.
  6. Cheating comments...aka copy paste comments some users here would go spread around random fics just to get that karma points. and of course...those 'update soon' comments...or even worse, comments like 'i'm waiting'....i got that once...and i was so freaking mad cuz this user never commented and the first comment i got was that...i'm waiting?...excuse you?
  7. Abandoning my fics...it's easy to judge writers who do that but you've no idea how much it hurts to not be able to continue write...you want to do it so much...you keep going back to that fic hoping to find back that flicker of fire...but you just couldn't....and it's not like there's anyone else who cared about those fics but you...you're their only hope, and you let them down after creating their unpopular selves...imagine how that feels...no of course you won't understand. i always feel shameful in front of them (my fics)...but i avoided their accusing gazes and shamelessly tread on.
  8. Silent readers. haa. i even created a poem dedicated to them. ;) (actually maybe more than one poem)...that's how much i dislike them. (ok this is like point no.4 repeated...whatever..it shows how much i dislike this)
  9. People who keep stalking your fics...every update but never want to commit as a reader who subscribe/comment. don't think i can't see you. If you don't like what you saw...stop stalking for more.
  10. When people get personal over fiction...like...accusing me hating other members n biased just cuz i portray one member sympathetically n the rest as...not. it's fiction people, get over it. you can't get rainbows n unicorns all the time from everyone.
  11. When readers sending me msg or telling me wherever other than at the comment box, that they read my story and what they think of it. Seriously guys, the comment box is there for a reason.

As a Reader..

Things I Like:

  1. Finding thoughtful fics, the kind that make me think/feel deeply abt life n stuffs, you know those kind of unpopular stuffs you can rarely find...they're gems. seriously.
  2. Finding fics of unpopular n underrated idols/celebs/characters/pairings. Brave/courageous writers, my kinda people ;)
  3. Fics that can easily make me write an essay on the comment section
  4. Fics with plot/characters that make sense and have dimensions/different sides to them. a well fleshed out character with layers is something i really appreciate rather than a perfect one.
  5. Something different. Unconventional. cuz sameness bores me. and that includes crazy/zany plot/characters/pairings/relationships/setting/etc.(despite just saying i like characters that make sense.../coughs/...i can have contradicting tastes)
  6. Writers who can make me feel their fic is superrrr romantic n heart fluttering even when they don't include any sort of skinship. now that's how you do romance. ;) i think i read one of that sort recently n it certainly made me wrote an essay on the fic, embarrassingly...yikes.
  7. Fics that can make me cry and cry and cry...huhu...for whatever reason...(ok but not for being so tragic bad fic that i cried out of my wasted time)
  8. Stories with my fav people and good plot. rare combination. i hardly ever find stories that actually have both elements.
  9. Stories that keep me guessing what will happen or makes me crack down the plot/characters to analyze.
  10. I like it when writers keep to what they want to write and don't waver/succumb to readers' requests/demands...readers often demand for the boringest/cliche thing..and often writers seem to feel the pressure of satisfying those demands...don't. it's your stories...do whatever you want...if they don't like it they can just it up or whatever...T^T
  11. When i see my fav stories updated. don't we all? ;) (though i don't see that anymore....)

Things I Dislike:

  1. One dimentional biatch female character trying to steal the hero from the lead girl/guy. Especially when you keep using my fav girls and even tagging them...wtf...if you can't make a decent layered vilain, the least you could do is to leave them out from the tags...ugh.
  2. When everyone in a particular fandom writes the exact same few popular characters/pairings...especially in Shinhwa tag...it's like there's hardly even variety in pairings at all that i had long given up...back then when i was noob fan...there's definitely so much more variety of pairings...how time flies...i'm always craving for something different but that seems to be the hardest thing to find here...
  3. Cliches without a twist...i mean, cliches happen...but how you write it and twist n turn it is how you make cliches good...but when i read sth n predicted what'd happen but then think...but nowadays...people can't possibly still write those predictable followups without any single twist at all, right? well, wrong.
  4. All those popular AUs i always see like wolf, vampire, school, gangs, dystopian, confined/standardized fantasy(don't ask lol), etcetc. i'm quite a simple person who just like sth i can relate...
  5. When i see writer asking for upvote before readers continue reading to chapter 1...i'm like....ehhhh.....???? instant turnoff...won't even check it out...if your fic is good enough, i'd give my upvotes even without being asked for...so chill it...
  6. Things that don't make sense like....hating each other in first chap but already flirting at the same time n before chap 2 even ended...already in love....whut?(worse when the whole description try to convince you the story's gonna be about two people hating each other n well...that sure escalated fast for people hating each other) or falling in love with their own (although that happens in local dramas here too and i'm like....hmm...do u need to experience it firsthand to know whether it makes sense or not?)...or freaking young characters already having some successful jobs n life...i can't relate T^T...(and why are all the characters always young n pretty?) and when everyone in the story falls in love head over heels with the main character....uh yeah....maybe if you can make it really convincing...i'd buy it...otherwise...and main characters that are too perfect...not as in rich, kind, hot but perfect can also be poor, kind, independant, hardworking, easily believing..you get me....i need some real bad sides too...we all have it cmon...
  7. PWP. even . i just don't get why i should care to know the details of two people(or more) having ....like....uhhh...yeah maybe i'm the weird one.
  8. overly draggy descriptive detailed sentences to describe sth that can be described more simply...sparingly is nice...but i don't need those overly long winding ones...it got me tired reading a few long lines without even knowing what happened or what's it trying to say yet...cuz of all the unnecessary flowery details just describing the pretty curtain or sth. i mean i write long sentences too...but idk, maybe not in that overly flowery descriptive ways just to describe curtain, tablecloth or whatnot?
  9. When malay fics use english titles(not even always correct english)...it's just instant turnoff...i mean, the fic is in malay afterall, what's wrong with just using malay titles? i don't mind if there's a valid reasoning behind it...or if i see it in like some fics...but it's like....95% fics i see...like the english titles are just for the sake of it...
  10. popular fics/writers...i once read a fic that was so hyped...and i was left feeling...'oh...so that was it? ok...'....i'm skeptic when it comes to anything popular...and a rebel too...so...don't judge. personal preference. if it's that hyped, it had to be mindblowing enough to deserve that hype.
  11. Going through sooooo many fics that are all the same....seriously...why..../creys in a corner/....i've no more energy to search for sth different...so if you have different refreshing ones...come to me...
