35 Questions for Authors (stolen from exocat15)

I saw that exocat15 posted this so I decided to complete it as well since I have time on this Sunday ^_^

I guess this was created by OnceUponAnEXO so all credits go to OnceUponAnEXO, thank you for you hard work!

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

Hmmm...well...I did not want to include any of my bias's names in my name because it would be impossible for me to choose one. So then I though of yff which stands for FanFicition. Basically when I was introduced to AFF I became addicted so yffismydrug becamse my name ^_^ I actually get this question a lot so it is good it was included in this hahaa!

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

It is actually my current fic Revenge's Storm! It became my most subbed fic just last week :D YunJae and YooSu fic ^^

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

My beta on here found the chibi versions of my ultimate bias (Kyuhyun) and I could not get over how cute it was! So...it becamse my photo/thumbnail (:

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

Well there are tons of besties I have here on aff! So I am doing top 3 based on how long I have known them and how often we talk:

hyukkie12 (who is my beta)

Urbinabarb (I have been talking with her daily for a year now :D She's amazing~!)

Carol45 (such a supportive subbie of mine and I believe she has read each of my fics too...dedication hahaa)

Of course there are many many mroe but it would take me forever to list all the amazing people!

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

hhmmm...I have not gone back to read one in quite some time actually...

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

722 xD

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

Business setting AUs I guess...which usually lead to my tags hahaa!

8. How many friends do you have?

396

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Hmm...well I think I kind of did that with my Revenge's Storm video since it was more violent. And yeah...some people judged. But if it has taught me one thing, there are always going to be amazing subscribers who support you and take time to listen to you ^-^

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Ooohh if I could learn to do graphic designs better that would be amazing. I have zero skill in that area -_-''

11. How many subscribers do you have?

unique: 3002

total: 4853

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

18 finished, and 1 which is 3 chapters away from being finished

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

I think 28 if I counted correctly hahaa! Some already posted on AFF and others not yet (:

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

I have a specific book where I write down all of my ideas (:

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

nope...

16. How did you discover AFF?

my beta, hyukkie12, introduced me to it as soon as she dragged my down the rabbithole of kpop xD And I am never breaking away from it~!

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

hahaa no! Not even close!

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

mmm the closest I ever came to having a nickname for them was during my 50 Shades series where I had the Bang Train and people loved it....so they would all climb on the Bang Train *shrugs shoulders*

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

nope...I was always a writer.

20. How many karma points do you have?

9104....what do I do with these...?

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

Just go for it. If you are just beginning you might not know the style of writing you have or what topics you are good at writing. All you can do it start with something and see where it leads you. Do not worry about what you are writing, because I can guarentee that there are people out there who are going to want to write it. You have to get started somewhere, after all.

Do not be afraid to ask for help if you feel like you need it. If you want someone to edit/look over your chapter/fic then ask someone, even if it is a friend you met on AFF. Then you can get some feedback and work from there.

Keep trying no matter what. Not all of the content we post is going to get as many subscribers as you want it to. Some fics/oneshots will be successful and others not so much. But that does not mean that one fic is lesser than the other. Do not pay attention to the amount of subscribers you have constantly.

HAVE FUN WITH IT~! That is the best piece of advice I can offer someone. Have fun with your writing! Do not write what others want you to. Do not twist your plot or characters so that the outcome your readers wants happens. Have fun and make it your own creation!

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

Aaaallll of them get plotted out! I will have an outline planned for the fic. For oneshots I can usually be more detailed since it is going to be shorted. With longer fics I tend to write one that is more vuege but hits all of the key components I want to include so I do not forget about them. I also tend to develop the characters more before I start writing.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Oh yes I have! I respond to all of my comments so when I see a bad comment I always reply back and see if there was some misunderstanding within the fic or try to figure out why they are having this bad experience with it. I always tell people they are free to unsubscribe at any point if they find that one of my fics are not for them. Most of them will either understand my explanation to them or unsubscribe which is good. For the commenter who continuously harasses me, then that leaves me no other choice but to block and unsub them because I do not want them spreading more negativity throughout for those who are actually enjoying the fic they are reading.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

fluff...I am not good at writing fluffy scenes. They take me so much longer to write than >_<

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

I am working on finishing up Revenge's Storm while writing some oneshots/short fics which I will post once it is completed ^-^

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

I always plan the next project while I am working on my current one. I always have a rough draft of my chaptered fics 100% completed, so that gives me more wiggle room to start thinking and working on my next big project (:

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

No...as long as I can get some writing/editing in each day I am happy (:

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Oh yes! I have become so much better with descriptions in my writing and conveying the characters emotions! I can see a huge imporvement from the first fic I wrote to my current one!

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

Ooohhh...that is such a hard one! I think I have to go with my 50 Shades series though...since that was my first project here on AFF and it is like my child!

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

Least favorite...? I honestly have never thought of that...I mean if I am going with my weakness...probably Countdown To You since it was a pure fluff fic and I am still struggling with fluff. Though I did like how it turned out in the end, if I was better at fluff it probably could have been better.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I would still like to be doing stuff like this here on AFF and other sites ^^ My main goal would be to publish a book, though I think in the next five years that is not going to happen realistically...

32. How many upvotes do you have?

607 O_O Holy...I never counted before!

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Ohh...another good question. The easiest thing about writing I would say is coming up with the character description/personality for my charactes. I can come up with how they are connected, what will happened between who, who will or will not get along well...those kinds of things. I love building the characters!

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

The hardest thing...? Getting all of the emotions down. In my head I can have all these flying emotions and I know how I want to portray it...but when it comes to actually getting it down on the computer it is a lot more complicated. It always looks better in my head.

35. Why do you write?

It is fun for me. Ever since 2nd grade I have loved to write, even though now I look back and I cannot read my handwriting 99% of the time hahaa! It was a creative outlet that my teachers always encouraged. If we had to write a fun little 5 page story for class...you bet I wrote a 20 page story! I had an idea and I was going to embelish on it as much as my little mind could!

It is a stress releiver. It was not until my junior year in high school when my grandmother passed away that I learned what a great stress reliever writing was. It let me channel all my problems and emotions in a healthy way. It would give me an escape for 10 mintues...an hour...a few hours...however long I needed to collect myself again and calm down.

It brings people together! I have met so many amazing people in school and on here of course because we have the same interest in writing. It can really get the creative juices flowing! We are one giant support system for one another! Writers understand each other ^-^
