35 Questions for Writers (Tagged by Min)

Tagging: Anyone reading this. Go ahead and steal this~

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

My favorite color is blue, my favorite element is wind. But since writing blue is too mainstream, gotta change that e to a 3. XD

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

Trapped in a K-Drama. If you haven't read it yet, go do it. InfinitexOC~

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Because Woohyun and I look good together~ I think it was a dare from winspiritbeauty? Because I am delusional and this is as real as it will get. But we do look good together :3

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

Eih~ I have a lot. Asking me to choose is like picking out my favorite ingredient when eating fried rice. They taste bland or weird alone, but together, it creates an exceptional combination~ (Wow, who knew fried rice could be this inspirational?)

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

My own. Because I need to keep checking the grammar, spellings, punctuations.. And I still get it wrong.

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

198, but I've only read like 20, and finished even less than that. I'm sorry, but I am a super picky reader who lose interest very quickly. But once I like it, I will stay faithful forever. Like towards Woohyun~ <3

7. What AU do you find yourself writing about most?

Many-Characters-Get-Murdered-One-By-One-AU XD
In all seriousness though, high school?

8. How many friends do you have?

870

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

One where Infinite have this weird disorder where they kidnap girls. And the girls develop a Stockholm syndrome. Hohohoh... But I wouldn't survive writing that. Plus I can't think of a positive message to come with it. So no.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on aff? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Check it less. Maybe I am addicted. People usually open their eyes first thing in the morning. For me, my fingers automatically opens AFF's tab. Amazing, isn't it? XD

11. How many subscribers do you have?

Unique: 4255 (I lost a lot after deleting the story. Hohohoh)
Total:6455

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

20 stories. One hiatus, one aaaaalmost finished, one just starting.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

One that has chapter 1 ready. Another one that has the entire plot written out. And about 3 more that has the initial planning all done.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

First I keep them in my head. If over two weeks, they're still there, it means they have potential to be developed into something more. If they're not strong enough, I'll pick out another idea that may be more interesting for me to write and for readers to write. Just ask winspiritbeauty, infinfic, or taemeilin_ how many times I have brainstormd ideas that never turned into a story.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Hidden in Plane Sight is sort of a collaboration? Though I learned through that story that no one will be able to keep up with my writing pace and naggy/demanding attitude. I'm sorry my dear cousin >.<

16. How did you discover AFF?

^ Through the same dear cousin who has suffered my nagging XD

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

No... But can I become a famous Inspirit? No? A famous Newclear at least? Okay, no. :(

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

It feels weird and a little conceited to think my readers are my fans. But when some readers asked me before, I said Harmonies because I'm Melody and a melody always need its harmony~ Though I don't ever say "Thank you lovely harmonies <3" *cringe*

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

No.. I've always started writing since an early age. When my mom gave birth to me, they said my hand was like holding a pencil (that's a lie). But really from an early age, like six?
ALTHOUGH my readers and their lovely comments do encourage me a lot. Plus they inspire me too with their ideas and suggestions <3

20. How many karma points do you have?

Eih... You don't ask people for their bank account total~ ;)

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

If you use Woohyun and Hyunmi as characters, I will read your story and give you critics if you want. HAHAHAHA I'm not kidding though :3

But seriously, keep writing. There aren't bad ideas, just unfinished ones. Even if you fail, learn from the fall. You may fall several times, but the second time, you will remember how you overcame the first fall and be ready to face any future falls. <-- This is advice for life. I'm wise. I'm old. B)

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

It depends on the story. With Hidden in Plane Sight and House of Trap, everything would be a mess without any plotting. BUT I am trying to practice what would happen if I don't plan at all. The result is The Target and Ephemeral Crown

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Yes. I take things from it to improve the story. But if these are things that can't be changed.. Well... I can't please everyone. Because one reviewer didn't like it doesn't mean everyone else will hate it :3

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

Fighting scene.. Or anything that requires a lot of movements. My vocabulary knowledge is not enough.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

House of Trap and Ephemeral Crown

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Yes. That way I can immediately start writing the next story when one is done. In case of House of Trap, the story is already completed. I am just giving readers more time to try and solve the puzzle before I update with the answer~ ;3

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

No need. I write whenever I can. I am afraid I will exceed my own goal~ B) Hahahhaa jk

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Five years ago: She laughed.
Now: She laughed to the point milk sprayed out from her nostrils.
Yes, I have gotten more descriptive :3

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

You can't ask that. I love everything!
(Trapped in a K-Drama, Cheese Me, 8760 Hours, The Fated String, The Target, House of Trap, Hidden in Plane Sight are probably the ones I keep rereading the most)

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

I'm gonna sound super conceited with this one, though I do hope everyone applies this same principle. But I believe everyone needs to take pride in the things they do and create. How do you expect other people to like your story if you yourself hate it? If a story idea isn't good enough, I toss it out like what I said for question 14. So I like all~ Hohoho

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Even if I can't publish a book, even if I will remain unknown, as long as there are people who feel inspired/joyful/learned something from my stories, then that is enough for me. :')

And hopefully it can also become my main source of income and give me lots of money. hehehehe

32. How many upvotes do you have?

Oh! 969!!!! Wow, what a number!

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Doing it. I heard many people have a hard time to start writing or to continue writing. For me, I literally steal any free time I have to write. Any single second is precious to me.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Being descriptive. Sometimes my sentences are still awkward. I want the readers to be able to see what I saw when I wrote it.

35. Why do you write?

Because when I write, I am at rest. Did you know that resting does not only come from sleep? Resting means to do an activity that can recharge your energy and make you feel at ease. That is exactly what writing does to me. Even if I worked a long day, stayed overtime, and come home completely exhausted at almost 12 AM, once my fingers start to type, my sleep disappears. Writing is my rest. :)

OMG HAHAHA and I thought I read very little stories ; u ; Being a reviewer made me read more stories than what I normally will though xDD

"Writing is my rest. :)"
So insfirational!! I hope one day, writing does become as easy as resting is to me. It still zaps out my brain juice, but I do it because I simply need a medium to express my emotions and thoughts. It was worse back then though xDD I used to think perhaps writing wasn't for me, yet now I fall in love with writing every time I pick up a pen (or a mouse) to start writing/typing ; u ;
