Personality : Haerin is a girl who tries not to worry about things too much. She knows that if she kept worrying about things, it won't be of any use anyway. She is quite a strong-willed girl. Whenever something sad happens, she tries not to cry about it and remain strong instead. She cares for her team mates very much and will help them whenever they have problems. She hates being alone so she is always with either her friends or her team mates most of the time. She always tries to give good advice to those younger than her. Even though Haerin does not cry much, she sometimes locks herself in her own room and cry to herself. But she's happy most of the time, which makes her life a lot better. She is quite independent so she tries to solve her own problems by herself. Sometimes when her problems get too hard to solve, her brother would come to her rescue and try to help her. When her parents quarrel, she would plug in her earphones and blast them, so that she wouldn't have to hear them shouting at each other. Haerin had tried running away from home before when her parents quarrelled. But she felt that she couldn't leave her parents just like that. After all, they loved her a lot and Haerin loves them a lot too. She always comes back home either after a day or a few hours later. She just didn't want to hear her parents quarrelling. She hated it. She was also afraid of her parents splitting up. But her parents assured her that their quarrels were over petty matters and that they would never split up. But Haerin knew that the worst might happen. So she always prepared herself when her parents start quarrelling. Her friends know that her parent's quarrels can be quite fierce sometimes. When Haerin visits them without telling them first-hand, it probably meant that she went there to seek refudge for a few hours or maybe a day. Due to her friends and older brother's support, Haerin grew stronger and she could control her emotions better.

Friends & Family:

History : Haerin was born in Hong Kong. Her father was a Korean while her mother was a Chinese. Her parents first met in Hong Kong and decided to get married there. Their parents gave birth to Haerin's older brother first and Haerin next. Her brother was two years older than her. By the time Haerin's mother gave birth to her, they decided to move to Korea so that her father did not have to travel back and forth for his business. But Haerin was born in Hong Kong before they moved to Korea. Even though Haerin was still a baby when she moved to Korea, she understood Chinese because her mother taught her since young. She was fluent in Korean too as her father was a Korean. Her mother then sent her to an International school in Korea and she learnt how to speak another language there. She decided to learn Japanese as she had a fondness for the Japanese language and culture. She visited Japan once with her family and grew a liking to the country itself. Haerin also likes to swim. She would practice swimming every weekend to train herself. Haerin joined a dance group in her school and they often performed on the streets for passerbys to witness. One day, Haerin and her dance group performed at an open space near to YG Entertainment. One of Big Bang's members witnessed it and told his CEO to take a look. The CEO of YG Entertainment himself went to check out her performance and was greatly impressed. He then recruited her into YG Entertainment where she is now a trainee.

Her father is also busy with overseas trips. Most of the time, no one would be at home. Haerin would always sneak into her brother's company to find him as she was lonely being alone at home.

Haerin was upset by what Krystal said. After that incident, Haerin was determined to beat Krystal in song rankings.
