Style: Sooyeon's style is more on the simple side rather than the  y side. She prefers to wear cardigans and long-sleeved clothing compared to other kinds of revealing clothing. Whenever she goes out, she would make sure that her clothes are decent and aren't too revealing as she doesn't like it. Tank tops are fine for her, as long as they aren't too revealing. She normally only wears that if it is hot out. Boots are something that Sooyeon wears most of the time when it's cold out. However during the summer time, she prefers to wear sandals or slippers.

Personality: Sooyeon is what you call an airheaded girl. She tends to not think before she talk and this bad habit of hers has annoyed many people in the past. However, she has since learnt her lesson and would always remind herself to think before talking. But of course, she means no harm. As her horoscope is of the water sign, she tends to be slightly more emotional than other people. She's sensitive, and gets offended easily. She knows that this is one of her flaws. So whenever she gets insulted or scolded, she would just smile and wave it off. Another flaw of hers is that she is quite hot-tempered. But the good thing about that is, even if she gets angry fast, her anger would subside just as fast. And everything would be back to normal. There's a good and bad side to that. She is quite forgiving though. That's probably the reason why her anger subsides so quickly. 
Sooyeon is also a happy-go-lucky girl. She tries to think of the more positive side of things and smiles all the time. People naturally flock to her because of her cheerfulness and out-going nature. But of course, not a single person is perfect and can be liked by everyone in the world. There are certain people who are jealous of Sooyeon, and they just simply can't be bothered to talk to her. Even when she tries to talk to them. She hated making enemies. Even when she knew that people disliked her, she still tries her best to talk to them and make friends with them. She's also a very patient person. That's the reason why people come to her when they have problems. Sooyeon has always been confused with why people relate their problems to her. But she finally found out the reason is because she is a good listener and when people come to her with their problems, they tend to want her to listen to them instead of giving them advices. As a result, Sooyeon tries her best to consult her fellow peers with their problems. She's also the type of person to think of others first instead of herself.

Background: Sooyeon was born in Busan, South Korea. From young, her parents sent her to various courses such as taekwondo, ballet, piano and so on. She took all of these courses seriously. But what she really loved and had passion in is dancing. In the beginning, the was discouraged to attend her ballet classes as she felt that she couldn't dance. But after practicing and watching various dancing videos, she gained the motivation to continue. Since then, dancing has been her passion. When she entered high school, she joined a modern dance group and that group soon morphed into a cover group. They began covering k-pop dances and even entered competitions. Sooyeon was elected as the leader of the group and she was well-liked by many people. However, contrary to having many fans, she had anti-fans as well. She was constantly harrassed and bullied by them. Thanks to her friends, she managed to overcome this painful ordeal. 
Through the competitions and performances, Sooyeon's dancing abilities improved over time. She has however, never thought of joining a company to become an idol. Till one day, someone from SM Entertainment approached her after her performance and scouted her. At first, Sooyeon didn't know what to do and just told the person that she would think about it. But after support from her friends and families, she finally joined the company to pursue her love for dancing. She then proceeded to audition for SM Entertainment and got in successfully. Sooyeon even tried her hand at singing. To her surprise, she could sing as well. It was then that she was told that she was going to be debuting in a group with 6 other trainees, that her life truly began.

How did you get into SM?: She was scouted by someone from SM when she was performing with her cover group. He saw that she had talent and scouted her. At first, she was reluctant to take part in the audition, but in the end she decided to audition under the support from her friends and families and got in as a trainee.
Trainee Experience: Sooyeon doesn't really know anyone when she was a trainee. She wasn't popular but she wasn't bullied either. However, she managed to befriend a few trainees who were nice enough to talk to her first. Her brother also introduced her to s and she befriended them as well.
