Haneul is generally a kind and genuine person, but there are certain traits about him that stands out. First, he is a very intelligent guy. He knew his way through school and
he made his mark as an independent adult. He is also a very devoted person. He devotes his heart and soul into the things and the people that he truly likes. His family, the woman she loves are the top of his list, then his ambitions follow after them. Lastly, he is a considerate kind of guy. He is not the guy who puts himself first so often, to the point where it is obnoxious. He considers another's feelings, opinions and ideas which shows what kind of person he is.

While he  has his positive notes, he has his negative ones. He is not as confident as the other alpha-male men. He is kind of an apprehensive kind of guy. He is trying to be careful about certain situations, but sometimes he has doubt in his heart. He can be a little harsh sometimes, when he is telling the truth. However, he doesn't direct the harshness towards the people that he loves. Sometimes, hard and stern attitude comes to the forefront whether he wants too or not. Lastly, he is very self-critical. He is not the kind to accept praise so much, since he feels like he could do better. Whether it would be about being a better son, a significant other or a father....he feels like he could be better. He tries not to be so negative on himself, but sometimes he can't help it.

BACKGROUND

 

Unlike his ex Sarang, who was born into a wealthy family, Haneul was in a middle income family who had enough money to do the things they want to do while having a roof over their heads. He was the only son of the family, who did as much as he could to bring in money for the family. However, it seemed like it wasn't enough. He was a little apprehensive on how his parents would think about him and Sarang's relationship, but he was lucky to know that they did not disapprove him and allowed him to be together.

Although Sarang and himself were together for a long time, he had to move back to South Korea for a certain issue that he and his family had to deal with. The news hit him hard and he immediately talked with her about, which included the possibility of long distance calls. However, with careful consideration, they concluded that they were unable to take long distance relationship's since they were unable to be together in person. So, in the end, they broke up on mutual terms.

As they went their separate ways, Haneul had a lot of family obligations that he had together besides having to get on his feet in Seoul. In spite of his new path, he never forgot about Sarang. She was the girl who held his heart so dearly and no other woman could compare to her. He clearly missed her and wished that maybe he could meet up with her once again. It was convenient to hear that their was a survival show that is going to film. Although he tried to not get his hopes up to high, he decided to take the chance to sign up for the show....hoping that maybe they will reunite once again.

Strangely, he feels like the result will be in is favor.

Why did you and your ex part?

He basically had to move back to South Korea, which meant long distance and not being able to see her face to face. He did not want to break up with her and she did not want to break up with him. However, they both agreed that it was for the best.

What were the main problems in the relationship?

Neither Haneul and his ex wanted to break up, but with the fact that a long distance relationship would be hard.

Would you ever get back with your ex?

He would absolutely want to get back with Sarang. He always thought about her, even when he went away. He had a few experiences when women approached him, but he simply rejected them. They did not compare to her and they never will. Although it may seem stupid to wait for an opportunity that may possibly not happen, but he had hope in his heart.

How does it feel being in a home with your ex?

He feels like everything is back into place. He is excited to get back with the girl that has his heart. Now he has the chance to get back with her and to really be there for his son.

He has a very casual look to compliment his appearance. He tends to stick with styles that are comfortable and easy to move around in. He would only wear a preppy or stylish attire for certain occasions. If it is with the person he cares for, or mostly his family he tries to make the effort to look well kept.

He has short, dirty blonde hair. With an oval shaped face and young-looking skin, people may think of him as younger than he is. He may have a slender build to him, but it is not to the point where it is not healthy for him. He is tall for his age, and keeps himself at an appropriate weight in order to look right.
