personality.  Sena is a silent but very straight to the point kind of person. Although she speaks her mind, she is careful to never appear rude and prepare her sentences in her head a thousand times to be able to deliver the best lines for every occasion. Yes, lines, because truth be told, Sena has perfected the idol facade so much she says it's the biggest role of her carreer. A natural born actress, Sena thinks quickly and relies on her well developped observation skills to analyze everything and everyone. Neither cold nor warm, Sena is most likely lukewarm in private.

Under the public's eye, Sena makes sure her role is perfect and she plays the mature yet reserved and smart person. She wants people to respect her and not look down at her; she wants to exude sophisticated class and not youth, cuteness and girliness. Though she is ready for anything to reach her goals. She can make jokes, small pranks and laugh but always acts with such restrain that people automatically adopt her way as they instantly feel that they might be too exhuberant. Sena's fine skills in deciphering people makes it easy for her to pull people into her pace, rather than having to follow others. She is a wild card in that sense.

Sena isn't shy and always lives every day with the resolution that she will do what it takes to make it. Easily throwing away her pride, she isn't afraid to get down and dirty into every Idol task without complaining.

In private, Sena allows herself to state her opinions a bit more bluntly and can easily take offense when someone doesn't share her ideas, which can lead to an icy debate. She often appears stuck-up when she doesn't have her perfect Idol Mask on and is also known as a workaholic and a party pooper. She is quick to bring every one down to Earth when things get a bit too free for her taste and she is the official schedule maker of the group, abiding by it.

Sena is all about reflection rather than actions, reason instead of passion. She thinks a lot, sometimes too much, which is why people say she is a bad actress and also what limits her as an idol.

Sena believes that her happiness isn't found into every day's small things but rather in the great events that shape her life. With dreams bigger than herself, Sena is surprisingly a dreamer who enjoys thinking of her possible future if she makes it. When it comes to interacting with others, her Idol persona is all about handling people. Making sure they are happy, not offended, agree with her and converse nicely.

On a personal standpoint, she tends to do that with her family members and group members too which can sometimes be rightfully infuriating because they feel like they can't get through her think Idol Shell. She has natural egoistical tendencies that come from her developped sens of survival. In most situations she tends to think about herself first and then the repercussions it will have on others. On stage she filters this aspect of herself so she doesn't appear egocentric or too full of herself. However, Sena is quite satisfied with the way she is and all the hard work she puts into living her every day life. She is prone to reject change as it is unknown and scary to her.

In a nutshell, Sena isn't the brightest star when it comes to shine, but she is the smartest one. Charismatic in a calculated way, Sena prides herself in being able to read people and make them feel comfortable around her. Sena accepts quite well not being the center of the group, but will invisibly gravitate to the position since she manipulates the conversation well and acts as the turn table for most dicussions. While she can appear distant, this ability to somewhat end up in the middle of everything makes her a surprisingly good team player, balancing everyone and mentioning the smallest things about anecdotes to always keep the conversation nice and flowing.

It is said that opposites attract and perhaps that is true for Sena's parents couldn't be more different. He had just finished law school and was dragged out by friends to celebrate and she was there to celebrate her friend's upcoming wedding. All it took was one night for Sena to be conceived. Unfortunately, the two adults had practically nothing in common except for their daughter and it was Sena that held everything together. Jin was always so focused on his career as a prosecutor and trying very hard to get promoted. Joonmi was always an airhead, hanging out with her friends a lot and sometimes going on wild shopping sprees without any regard for the family budget.

Sena grew up in that kind of house where both her parents seemed to live parallel lives that were so scarcely crossing each other. Having to quickly grow up and mature to be ale to fend for herself, Sena often had to play the role of the mother for her own mother and resented her father's absence because he should have been there for her. In a way she couldn't understand why they would stay together and that's why she had no issue with moving to Seoul to further her acting studies and get away from her crazy family.

She got herself a nice little one bedroom appartement and enjoyed a more peaceful life from then on. Without Sena in their life, both of her parents quickly fell appart and got a divorce. Around that time, Sena got into JYP Entertainment and moved to the dorms. She was given a card when someone came to their school and she auditioned. Originally she tried as an actor but was told that they wanted to see if she could sing and dance. Apparently the audition was enough because she got in. Young Sena with her bright and wise personality was instantly a hit. The agency felt like she had the right star potential and decided to get her into their new group.

Sena and her dad do not get along very much. He was mainly absent all her youth, always looking for this big case that would make him get promotions. In a way, Sena inherited part of her personality from him: her dreams (he wants to become a judge), her calculating side and intellect and her way of handling people. Since the divorce, Sena sees him once every now and then, but not more than once a month. She always puts on her Idol Mask with him because she is uncomfortable being her true self around him. Their conversation are polite but distant and makes sure she stays a appropriate amount of time but not too much. In a way, Jin could never see the true Sena.

Hyunmi is a warm person, always emotional about everything. She likes drama both on tv and in life and has a habit of knocking on her daughter's door when she is sad. Since the divorce she has actively been looking for a new husband and hasn't found anyone. Hence, she has been sad a lot. Hyunmi is the reason why Sena is so against using her passions as fuel because she knows how quickly it burns out.

trainee life.  Sena was scouted when she was at school and auditioned as an actress. Instead, the company struck a deal with her. They would allow her to pursue her acting career if she became part of a group they were creating. She accepted because it is a very easy way to success. In exchange, she had to train very hard because she wasn't that good of a singer nor of a dancer and had to catch up to other trainees. She trained for 4 years and a half.
