→ One of the most important thing about Joohee is that she enjoys being challenged and always having to do better. She does well on contests and competitions and is always trying to be number one wether it is in her personal life or at school. She is ambitious and always had bigger dreams than being a typical office worker. However, she wasn't quite sure of where her place was. Her parents wanted her to do a "serious" job but she never let go of her dream. She is the kind of girl to never let go of anything, arguments, dreams and people, and sometimes, she annoys the people around her. It is known that Joohee gets attached really easily and it's hard for her to say goodbye. Luckily, she hasn't had to deal with deaths in her family yet and never had to move to a new house. The fact that Joohee likes to be number 1 doesn't mean that she believes herself to be better or worth more than the others. At least that is not how she sees it. Her greatest adversary is her own self and she is always pushing her limits. Of course, when she succeed in something, Joohee is humbly satisfied and happy, taking pride in her accomplishments but not in other people's failings.
→ However, sometimes in the path to her goal, she get get narrow-minded and forget about the people around her that she can hurt. A headstrong person, she will push through and only realize after that she might have left some people behind or stole a victory they wanted and deserved. In these situations, she will do her best to be forgiven but understand that if she was them, maybe she wouldn't forgive her that easily.
→ Because she lived a sheltered life, Joohee never had to worry about money issues and was always free to do whatever she wanted, as long as she remained a good girl and brought home good grades. Because of that, joohee loves to shop and eat and has this natural curiosity that makes her want to discover as many things as she can. Bcause she never really had to worry about taking care of herself, joohee lacks organization and self control and is often messy. She can be awkward in public places and was never the most coordinated. Sometimes she'll trip, sometimes she'll say things that can cause secondhand embarassement for her friends... she will trip on her own limbs and shatter the beautiful and sophisticated image she would like so much to have.
→ It's like she has that on and off switch. When she is "on", she's fearless and she can do anything and succeed. She becomes this Amazon-like figure of talent, poise and raw determination. But when her switch is "off", she's just the awkward but bright girl who can't even walk in high heels without tripping everywhere and makes bad jokes.
→ In other words, when she sees something as a challenge, she will give her all and when she is more relaxed, that's when her more clumsy personality comes through. She can't be considered talkative nor quiet, she will say what she has to say when she has to say it and always try her best to remain polite. Joohee does her best to always remain calm and poised although she can get a bit more cheery and bubbly when surrounded by people she likes. While she is nice and will do everything in her power to stop someone from doing something stupid, if that someone still do something stupid, then she's done. She has a hard time forgiving and really takes betrayal harshly. if you get on her bad side, you'll stay there for a long time. Joohee knows how to hold a petty grudge. She believes in politeness and respect and actually don't mean to hurt people, never with words anyway

→ In middle school, she used to be an excellent student, who enjoyed school life to the fullest. She had good grades and maintained a uneasy balance between friends, family and studies. The one thing she lacked, though, was hobbies. For the longest time, Joohee would take part in math contest and cram sessions in order to have the highest possible score, but her friends quickly let her know she was boring. They got tired of her never agreeing to hang out with them. On one of her friends birthday, they invited her to karaoke and it was a first for Joohee. Before, she would sing a little bit on her own as she was studying or doing her chores, but she had never sung in front of anyone. She enjoyed it tremendously. The way her friends cheered for her and the way she was performing the song, dancing along. She ended up going there with her friend more and enjoying it more each time.
→ Her friends told her she had a good voice and encouraged her to become an idol since she was also pretty. She took it as a challenged and auditioned to become a trainee. She was taken in Starship purely because she was still young and had potential. She was only 14 years old, back then. Joohee kept training, deviding her time between high school and her company. By sheer determination she was able to maintain her life. It was enough to satisfy her parents who always knew their child loved to keep herself busy but would always bring home good grades. For 5 years, Joohee trained and was often considered for projects like WSJN or Produce 101 but was passed for other trainees because they believed she could shine better in a smaller group and didn't want to mess her debut when she is such a promising trainee.

She also trained in dancing to raise her stamina and make her the level of an average idol. During her trainee years, she was also a high school student. Following her graduation, sh took gap years to focus on her training. She gave herself an ultimatum. If she was passed again for more than 3 opportunities, she would leave.

how do you feel to be chosen to appear on this show? : I feel very grateful. I have been wanting to be included in a trainee project group but a show is much more than I asked and seem much more fun! I can't wait to compete and meet other trainees like me.
what is your main talent that you will be showcasing? : I will be showcasing my singing. It is what I like the best when it comes to idol talents.
What is the goal that you plan to accomplish by being on this show? : I hope to have fun! I love competitions and meeting new people who do the same thing I do. I really wish I could do good, but I bet there will be so many talented people! It's gonna be awesome

I also think it could be funny if they had to dance or sing or rap to a music but make it a totally different style, like hip-hop to classical song.
