background » From a young age Jooah loved to be on thte stage. Even from before she could remember she was at the center of attentuoin, usually by dancing. She had a natural talent her entire life but her parnets put her in classes so she could work on them.
From the age of four, Jooah started taking official dance lessions. It was only ballet at first but lille Jooah loved it. By the time she got to be five she wanted to be a professional ballerina. Her mind didnt change for the next four years. She saw Diva preform for the first time and she wanted to be one of them. She told her parents that but they didnt laugh, they encuraged her.
After searching for a while they found a few schools that Jooah was interested in and she started classes. She loved it. There was nothing else she wanted to do. It seemed like that was what she was going to do for the rest of her life.
2005 Jooah auditioned for Star Media and was accepted right away. She got to dance with them and she was only there for a year before she debut in a four member group called 5tar. They were huge for a while but after 18 months there was a huge scandal. Their leader was caught with another label mate, both left the company to get married and had a child eight months later. The three remaining members continued to perform for half that time but when they tried to have a comeback it flopped in evry way possible.
Star Media officiall disbanded 5tar in 2009 but kept the three members. Jooah's contract ended in 2010 and she didnt plan on resigning. Star wasnt in any position to ask for her to stay. She left Star Media Feburary 9, 2010.
April 22 she started applying for companies again. She couldnt handle not dancing any more. She auditioned for six companies without hearing from either one. November of that year she was acepted into SM Entertainment.
With all the training and experiance she had with Star Media Jooah went far fast with SM. As soon as she got there she knew they were forming a new group but she heard it was a boy group. A few months later the group started foming and Jooah was one of them. One problem though, she was in the Chines unit.
Jooah spent the next three months 100% submrged in Manderin. The only time she was around people who spoke Korean was when she was at home, sleeping. By the time they debut she was able to speak the language, not fluently, and she couldnt read it at all. Six months after debut she was speaking it very well and on her way to being able to read it.
