wait. why am i using superlative as title again? i hate using superlative especially best/worst bcuz it really only make you look dumb...but i guess...it's uhh...the best...to me?...xD (so don't blame me if you try it n don't like it...i just need a place to spazz)

So....I'm back with my X-Man Hwangbo couple tribute...3rd guy...yay!

Title: X-Man Rivals to Couple Tribute / She's A Man, He's A Woman (2004-2005) (originally i wanted to title it 'Someone to Rescue'.)..haha...no surprise who'd be the one rescuing who....xD

The video spanned over 2124 minutes....longest of all my couple vids so far...T^T...but i can say every minute worth watching n enjoying. xD

and it kinda hurt me that this is a couple i somehow like so much n fell hard but know this can never come true. For one, this guy is now married(since 2014...not too long ago...but it's not like without this i'm allowing myself to be delusional enough to think of anything i ship as ultimate real...but at least it soothe down the uhm...guilt?) and other than that, he's had been embroiled in some issues....mostly revolving gambling(which is illegal for Korean...actually, for my religion it's illegal too so...yeah), lying(most probly related to gambling), and fraud(still, related to gambling...but he was acquitted after he promised to court to settle it since he's gathering money for it)...so in short...he's probly an addict(not that this merit as legit reason to not ship, well, probly i just need a reason to hold myself back haa). Well, not that it's as bad as many other current celeb cases like /beat people/cause direct harm to people's lives. (even Shinhwa member had gamble issue if i remember correctly although it might not have went as severe as this guy) And at least he seemed ashamed enough to avoid the limelight for quite some years already since all his hoopla issues, and responsible enough to admit to it and chose to solve it...and now living quietly doing ice cream business in Singapore. i just learnt that aside from comedian...he actually started as part of original lineup in Roo'ra? wow...that's new for me...all in all, he had issues(but don't we all?)...he doesn't seem that bad really. Or maybe i'm influenced by watching him in X-Man n finding him so funny n likable....ahhh...idk. It'd be a shame if he quit being in ent business for good considering how freaking good he is at being funny and how even worse offenders/criminals could come back. (i'm sadly sounding like an irrational fangirl trying to defend oppar here...T^T)...

Anyway, Shin Jung Hwan, in X-Man, is like the male counterpart of Hwangbo. If Hwangbo was considered as a man, he was often regarded as a woman in the show. Now, don't just that fact made them such a perfect pair that complement each other? And since 4 out of 5 episodes they're together, they're both in different teams...you can see how they're always pitched as rivals in game. Their rivalry chemistry definitely led to that. This is no typical X-Man loveline. And the part i love the most is whenever they're in couple games, and Junghwan even pushed his own partner just to have one to one fight with Hwangbo(whose partner already fell down earlier)...that was freaking hilarious. (i mean who in their right mind would do that to their own couple/team? Shin Jung Hwan would. Correction. He DID.) Everytime, his female partner would end up being ignored and hit him after that bcuz he's always too focused on attacking Hwangbo to bother protecting/helping them. Hwangbo would also avoid hitting the girl who's closer to her n just ignore them though they keep attacking her, since she's too focused on attacking Junghwan hiding behind his partners. hahah...

If he had been longer in the show...i bet other guys who had loveline(directly or not) with Hwangbo would never had a chance. He's the original. He's been there, targetting her with all the insults and attacks since her first appearance there. It wouldn't be a stretch to say he elevated the show's focus on her by quite a lot considering their rivalry was always being put to play with their team leaders always choosing them to go against each other(since he showed way too much interest anyway). He'd call her flower boy and general. She'd refer to him as a girl. He's better at games than her. She's better at fight than him. They're just perfect. And he's effortlessly funny. If not for his gambling crimes....he'd probly become big. I was reading bout Kim Jong Min getting Daesang for variety the other day....and it made me think Shin Jung Hwan could've gotten it too if he's still active. They're both really funny in different ways. Kim Jong Min is also featured in this video since he's one of Hwangbo's partner in the episodes. And speaking of appearances, there were quite some Shinhwa members too(well, Eric, and Hwangbo's best buddy Junjin). But speaking of Shinhwa members...i can't help but compare how different the mannerism between Hyesung n Junghwan when they coupled with Hwangbo for this particular 'carry partner while taking off socks' couple game. Hyesung always just dropped her like whatever...but Junghwan would put her down carefully and even when he kinda dropped her once, he helped her up again. That manners, even while calling her man and all....gets him good points in my book. as much as i wanted to ship Hwangbo with Hyesung since they coupled quite a few times too....everytime it's always her choosing him and him accepting rather hesitantly. It's hard. and i love this part when she's wearing this dress in the opening of the special All X-Man episode n feeling all weird bout the dress Junghwan called her prettybeautiful (while other guys actually used that dress to attack/made fun of her...albeit without saying much later in the episode). in the video..it's subbed as 'pretty'...but i'm pretty sure the word he used is more commonly translated as beautiful.

I'm happy these two rivals finally get on the same team on their final ep together and they finally become a couple(in the show of course). Yay, happy ending. Though it felt kinda lonely because they're in same team, so there's nothing for them to fight each other against for. Probly for that reason, Junghwan provoked her while their team members busy playing game with other team, leading her to beat the crap of him(the scene in the video thumbnail xD). Anyway, when she chose him, he seemed like he'd been waiting for it his whole X-Man life. xD

Overall, this is a really satisfying couple, and it took me many redoing to organize the scenes properly but i'm honoured to be the one doing this for such an addicting couple with great dynamics. If the previous couplings i made was all bout the romance(Kim Kyung Rok-2006) or the comedy(Ji Sang Ryul-2005)...this is one with a lil bit of everything, but i'd say the main genre for them would be Action. xD...maybe Action RomCom...lol. But just like the other two guys, he's always just as focused on only Hwangbo. but with this one, even better, bcuz they're most often in different teams, yet he seems more interested in his fights with her than with the girls/his own couplings in his team. Now, the other guys can't beat that.

I think this is the first compilation i made where i left the video without background music for quite long(over the first 5 minutes)...i guess the dialogues are good enough to go on their own(besides, there's english subs for those parts)...and music only started after that. The first song chosen(starting 5:256:08) is if you watched X-Man, you'd recognized it as the song they always featured for random break time or referrred to in the show as the 좋아 song. I guess i chose that song since it reminds me of one of my fav moment of theirs when he provoked her and ended up getting beaten up and the MC called for the song to be played to break them from the fight and calm her anger. Hahah...and the second song i chose(starting 14:3115:14) was a song i kinda fell in love with even before knowing what song or who sang it, when i heard it during one of the girls' dance performance in X-Man. After hearing the full song, i fell even harder. (Seriously, if any current singer release song good as this, and where there's no noise and you can just listen to clean vocals while enjoying the catchy n cute music, i'd be a fan, i'd be a fan right away),  The lyrics are cute too, about how two friends who are very comfortable with each other turn to lovers. At first i was thinking of saving this song for that moment when i find my ultimate fav couple that suits the song's situation. (Though i wasn't sure if i'd make vid for her n Junjin since they're best friends considering there are already ppl doing that...but tbh...i think if from Shinhwa...Eric n her would make the most visually explosive couple...their visuals just match really well methink...) But now thinking of it, this is kinda actually a perfect fit. I'm just using two songs to not distract the story i want to tell with the video. Even if this is not a ship i can go on carrying a torch for in the present and future. But at least, I'm allowed to ship their past selves and in that variety show realm right?

Hwangbo is too shippable anyway...i was watching this one ep where i kept seeing Yoon Eun Hye hugging her in the background, and i even wondered if i should make vid for them....xD.

But anyway, as of now, i think this is the best Hwangbo X-Man couple so far(and i've watched all her episodes). In fact, i'd say this is one of the best of all X-Man couples/lovelines, i'd even give my vote for it to be 'The Best'.
