1. a box of CDs

Okay so few days ago...i was looking for something and boxes and dusts flying while on the search...

and guess what i found?

well...no surprise...spoiler already given....

why...a box of CDs of course!

I remember receiving this gift from singer of the band who contacted me asking for my address after seeing me write about his band. now...i don't usually give my details to strangers just for the record...lol. that was some years ago and i've been looking for the cds after awhile...they went missing probly after all the cleaning and stuffs...

This ain't something any of our idol oppar unnir would do right?

Non-mainstream singers though...maybe because they receive less love than your popular idols...they're very appreciative...i think that's understandable since oppar unnir would be busier with schedules and all to care that much for all their 48574896474656 fans...but it doesn't make the gesture n kindness any less sweeter really....it's not the first time a singer reached out to me bcuz of thankfulness...actually i am the one thankful to them for their music...but when they go out of the way to show appreciation by sending you a box of CDs just for you to enjoy their music without even asking for anything in return...gets me to a whole nother level of thankfulness feeling...

So, i was told to enjoy the music with my friends...but thing is i never had friend here who listen to Krock/K-indie ...eh...even for kpop...especially the kind that i listen to... it's hard to find...i know it's outdated...(is this word becoming attached to me? lol)...but if anyone interested...i can send to you...but you have to be from Malaysia...or better...from KL...since i don't think i'd be spending for international postage...the CDs still sealed...(only one was unsealed and had that written note, i'm keeping this one lol)....please don't say you want it just cuz...please req only if you actually like the music ...i know this ain't everyone's cuppa...but just in case...

i remember when i first was notified to take the parcel at post office...there were some hassle cuz the staffs thought i was a business/company...just bcuz the name on the parcel was my youtube channel's/blog's name...xD...

in short...hopelesswriter's 2k16...never productively writing in the present...always bragging of the past...yay.

2. KARD

some videos from their show:

Jiwoo and J Seph are noticeably more nervous than the other two...especially the latter. Maybe bcuz BM n Somin have more experience in the glitz n glam world...the other two need some time to get comfy. BM n Somin do have more commercial feel to them. but i feel that J Seph will end up getting most stans for his nervousness n awkwardness alone. lmao.

solo talents (BM : dance, Somin : sing, Jiwoo : sing, J Seph : rap-with BM featuring) Jiwoo's voice...kaboom. Somin keep reminding me of KARA's Hara for some reason...maybe the feature...but she's like...the vocally talented version of Hara?

performing FinK.L song...it seems like DSP artistes always sing FinK.L songs...or rather...their DSP senior songs...i mean...SS501 sings Sechskies n Fin.K.L song(To My Boyfriend...complete with outfits n wigs lol)...KARA sings FinK.L & Lee Hyori songs(they're even marketed as second FinK.L during their early debut with 4 members back in 2007), Rainbow sings FinK.L(this song being one of 'em) and SS501 songs, A-JAX sings SS501 song too(dunno abt the rest since i don't follow them that much...it's just that they did cover for one of my fav SS501 songs. lol)..dunno bout April since don't follow them. I read that Jiwoo is the maknae...but she's taking care of the walking nervous wreck that is J Seph...lmao...incredibly touching to see her actually slowed down her singing to the point of mumbling while looking at him to make him sing louder n let his voice be heard, and after awhile when his voice went lower again...she did the same thing n lowered her own volume to get him back on track. i agree with a comment saying these two are so amusing...

I'm just worried at the shipping wars n mess that are just waiting to happen...typical kpop fans...i have my ships too in kpop n k-ent...but i wouldn't want it to be the ruining factor of my group. besides, they're co-ed group that is more precious n fragile if not handled right methinks. in some ways they remind me of one of my fav coed groups...Garina Project later reformed n renamed as Delight after some member changes-actually just one guy replaced with one girl...previously they're 3 boys 1 girl...(another outdated fav by hopelesswriter lol). Not musically...since Garina is more on the electronic/quirky/indie side...while K.A.R.D is more urban cool mainstream kpop. but the members' dynamics somewhat.

It seems K.A.R.D is off to a very good start...n attracted quite a big hype already...enough to already have some annoying fans...lol. and it seems to me they're totally targetting on international + urban modern youngsters local market. Out of the debuts this year...i think only Bulldok and K.A.R.D got strongly into my radar. I'm a lil nervous tbh...it feels like the first time DSP is debuting a group that is seen for themselves and not rival or 2nd best to another group. back then they're always seen as SM rival and their groups always go neck to neck with SM groups in terms of popularity starting with Sehcskies up until KARA or maybe Rainbow(heck they even tried with A'ST1...oh wait, A'ST1 debuted before Rainbow). but they're always seen as the copycat or 2nd best...and afterwards, as DSP went down...they're seen as even lesser.... and i feel that this is the first they're making a bold move to step forward on their own, and not a step behind any of the big companies. This is interesting....but also...making me nervous...it's a brand new card played by DSP...and as a longtime DSP singers' fan...i'm hoping they don't mess up yet again...even if i might not be too hardcore into this group n just enjoying their performances and songs. Their shippers and some fans already made me feel tired...for sure i can't be too active in stanning this group. i'd get tired fast...Bulldok only starting to tire me after awhile bcuz they generated hype not as fast n as massive...i'm not saying i don't like them to get popular...it's just that...i'm so used to stan outdated and nonmainstream that it takes certain degree of lowkeyness for me to feel comfy in mainstream group fandom...

3. bts(fans) dundundun.../prepares to be thrown rocks or worse/

i've seen ppl talking/asking bout why bts fandom is so hated and bout exo fandom vs bts fandom blabla...truthfully...i have interest in neither....anything popular annoys me since they always come with annoying fans package...i've been annoyed at Exo fans too...and you name it all the big names...

but bts fans...really just often take it up to another level...

one i can't help but notice...and damnit can't seem to escape even avoiding any of their stuffs...is how a lot of their fans would go to any and all random unrelated videos, articles, threads or anywhere...just to mention them oppars. Even on completely unrelated stuffs...they'd bring up oppars. you might find it a heartwarming form of promotion...i find it fking annoying n disrespectful.

really random...like...'oh that one looks like oppar /'s name/'.....this song reminds me of /oppar/....'oppar would love this'..../insert fandom name/....supporting this group(ok this one is done by all fandom...i find it a really annoying trend...you don't have to bring up whatever fandom you're representing to like something really...have pride in being you and liking what you like as yourself n not just part of something)....there are more...i can't remember everything....but you really can't escape them...sometimes they'd just respond to another comment who has oppar pic in their dp to point out /oppar/...maybe other fandoms done it too...but everytime....at any n every video i go to...sometimes even non-korean ones....you still see them randomness....sorry but i just can't appreciate this...overexposure/promotion without boundaries/respect for others n i'm just....annoyed.

4. exams

no no i don't have any...i just...keep seeing abt pt3....for the past few years...how everyone would say how it's damn hard...i don't know...i'm from pmr generation lol. and i grew up being made to believe that the the quality of education in this country only go downwards and nowhere else compared to my mom and dad's time...so i look down even on my own time's education...after my time...well, no need elaboration. i keep seeing people say this exam is damn hard yet i keep seeing these very people sharing their amazing straight A results...hmm...idk...it's hard to compare...i'm not sure the format but maybe during my time there were less geniuses around so i see less of straight A kids?(i mean during my pmr time...i studied like crazy and still didn't get straight As...maybe i really am no genius or worse..maybe i'm on the dumb side that with all the humongous effort...i could only rise to above average) or maybe it's cuz i was from the time before internet became a mandatory trend/lifestyle...so bragging were harder to see...and really i didn't feel anything special taking exam since everyone had it the same...? even back then...you only wear graduation robe during your unviersity graduation or never. but after my time...even kindergarten kids would 'graduate'/cringe/(or maybe it's just me who dunno since i never went to kindergarten anyway n had no preschool education whatsoever?)...i'm so thankful i didn't have to wear those thing for spm either...what a relief...i'd be happy to wear that robe when i'm actually graduating n not for some fancy school cosplay...besides, what's there in a robe anyway? ok, maybe there is something to it since it symbolizes achieving the highest level of your education or whatever shiet. it's nice to wear but not when overexposed to every level of education...makes it lose any and all meaning and value methinks...thanks to no-internet era(well, there was internet but the usage hadn't become as err...necessity as now...)...my schooldays felt just like school. nothing outrageous or dramatic(though my life in school was quite dramatic like those unfortunate main character from dramas...with a twist of no happy ending lmao)...the only exam i felt like bragging about was stpm bcuz it was something optional...and i totally took it because i wanted it unlike most kids i know who went in bcuz they felt it's their last resort....i grew up looking up highly towards stpm...my mom and dad would praise it as some great exam and it was known as one of the hardest exams in the region...n the hardest in this country...of course i wanted to be part of it...i couldn't even fathom those who look down on this particular exam. it was my main goal that i didn't even apply for anywhere else after spm. i'm proud to be donning school uniform again while most others would be excited to stop wearing them...it was the most draining period of my life...yet it's also the period that i feel built up my strength and maturity in handling issues that i later faced in university, heck there was not enough time there for everything we had to do...all the presentations n assignments, the notes, the exams...there was no time to study at all but i felt fulfilled by the whole experience ...in fact, university felt like too lax n lazy n more just dramas and full of empty arrogance it annoyed me...it felt downgraded...n the shady criterias to get good results were just as annoying (since i wasn't in any scientific/fact-based course...so the criterias tend to be shadier)

wait.

what was the point of this whole exam talk again...../scratch head/ uhh......no point i guess? a lil bragging here and there...and just throwing opinions on some exams after keep seeing posts about exams.

i feel like i have more things to blabber but...what...oh well....till next time...
