Dam Seulah is a very polite and wellbehaved lady, even though she hasn't told anyone about her family it's rather obvious she comes from a good background. She's always polite to her elders, present this feminine perfect national sweetheart image to the world, completely free of any kind of fire or scandalousness. To Korea Seulah is a dream girl, as inoffensive and wholesome as it gets.

It makes her almost boring on interviews or shows, she's always giving the diplomatic and carefully rehearsed answers to keep up this perfect appearance while some of her group members are being more sincere and, well, actually human.
Another part of it is Seulah's insecurities. Ever since she was little she's always been told that she's so pretty! She's such a cute girl, such a beautiful young lady, was going to make some guy very happy someday. Her worth has always been equated to her looks and her potential worth to a future husband. Even though she managed to break away from her family and from those expectations, they still haunt her. She's still afraid that if she doesnt appear perfect then nobody will love her. Then she won't have any worth.
Seulah has this natural dependency on others. She always has to have someone to lean on. At first this was her family, later on it became the company. Seulah always does whatever the company tells her to, she enjoys being told what to do so that she doesn't have to think about it. Doesn't have to take risks or decisions. If she's just following the company's orders then whatever happens is on them.
This dependency extends to her dating life, Seulah doesn't really know how to be without a boyfriend. She doesn't know how to be alone, and honestly the thought of being on her own terrifies her. So she's always in a relationship, even if she's not particularly happy in that relationship, because that's what she thinks she needs. Thinks she can't do without.
Seulah hates conflict and she's really bad with it. She's usually the one who's trying to calm down the co-leader when his tempers flares up, she really hates it when people fight. This is one of the times when her actual bravery does bubble up. When there is fighting going on, especially physical fighting, Seulah just kind of acts on instinct and does whatever she can to stop it. Sometimes this means physically putting herself inbetween the fighting parties, which is not exactly a good idea but Seulah just really, really wants people to not fight.
So what is the real Seulah like? The one that she's been pushing down in order to promote this wholesome perfect dream wife image? Well she's brave, for one. It's the Seulah that she tapped into when she left her family to pursue her dreams. She's honest, something that this Seulah hasn't been in a while, and not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself. She's curious to an almost obnoxious degree, not in a nosy way, but in the way that she always wants to know how things works and why they are the way they are. She's intelligent and enjoys learning new things and gathering knowledge, but of course it wouldn't do for her to appear smarter than prospective husbands so that one was out the window so she always pretends to be dumber than she is. She's daring, and loves new experiences and doing things she's never done before, and doesn't let her fears hold her back. She's the kind of woman who will go on a hike to find the best spot to star gaze, or who has no qualms getting disgustingly muddy because she wanted to learn how to farm sweet potatoes, or who scrapes open her knee trying to learn how to skateboard.
She tends to be impuslive when she has enough, like how she decided to become an idol after feeling cooped up in her guilded cage and coming across an advert. When the buckets up with water she just acts, and for once doesn't meticulously think things through.

She left a note for her parents explaining that she couldn't do this and giving no indication where she'd gone to, and she left.
So she got to FNC, and for the first time ever she was on her own, and it was terrifying. There were a few times in the relatinoship that she caught him cheating, or he'd been too much of a to her, and they'd briefly break up before he'd begged her to come back and she always did.
It was her friendship with Hanil that actually helped her break the Taeha cycle.
