How do you do this ?

Hello to any person who's waisting his/her time reading this lol

I'm just wondering... How people do to write awful characters about people they like ? I mean i'm writing a new story rn and one of my main character should be awful but I just can't write him like that. I want him to be a real a**hole but it doesn't work :'(

Do you have any tips to help me? Any advice? Or personal experience? It's literally killing me like it's driving me crazy... I'm trying to escape from uni by writing but it's stressing me even more... 

Anyway,I'll just drown in my feels i think ~~

Idk I make fanfics so I if I have an idol whose attitude or rumoured attitude I hate,then I write him or her as the bad character.
There's also when I have to make one of my main characters be a-holes so I think about the people that have been an a-hole to me in real life.....
Either of those two I guess.....

just think that you never liked the character in real life... think of him as a person you hate... I mean that works for me sometimes... :)

just imagine that's only for the story..if you can make people who reading it literally hate him..then you successfully achieved your goal..do not mixed with his characters in real life.. good luck :)
