For a first impression, Hyemi would seem arrogant and mean despite her good looks, and she is. She's fastidious and is displeased with anything that is not perfect or does not meet her standards. She hates it if anything went wrong or at least if a little detail was missing, and she would do anything to get things back on track. Hyemi is quite mature for a kid her age. She's her family's youngest with two older brothers, Hyungbin and Hansuk, but she acts as an older sister regardless the between them, her brothers though laugh at her face whenever she acted so grown-up like, sometimes they would call her 'noona' in a playful matter.

She's the quickly-quickly type who tends to rush and push. She fears she might miss out on opportunities of experiencing new things, and she differently hates to be held up and stopped mid way. She doesn't mind to take risks and do whatever it takes to finish something as fast as possible even though sometimes she doesn't need to be so urgent. Her impatient self doesn't do any good to being a short-tempered one too. She gets mad when she needs to use machines that won't function properly and might even hit them, or when something or someone disturbs her concentration she would just yell. And if things piled up, you might just want to leave her alone. She is working on being more patient and is progressing well.

However, behind her unapproachable looks, she's nice. She's quiet most of the time and she could take time to get used to someone but generally, she's good to anyone she doesn't have problems with so one better be on good terms with her. She's fun to hangout with, she's good with lightning the atmosphere and has some pretty weird ways to have fun. She's also a good communicator, she listens well and is worth listening to as she's someone who's good with words and knows what to say and what to not. She shares her thoughts openly and honestly but with careful words.

Hyemi was born in Haenam, a relatively average country town of Jeollanam province. 4 years ago, Hyemi's dad passed away from a heart attack, she pretended as if she wasn't effected but she actually was. She moved to Seoul with her mother and her two older brothers to live with their aunt who lived alone. Her mom worked with her aunt in her groceries shop and her brothers worked here and there while continuing to go to college. They all think of Hyemi as a little girl and they don't want to tire her with responcibilities or anything,

The city life fascinated Hyemi, she was surprised at the huge number of people there, there were ten times more people here than in her small town, and how people could still be awake and work till so late in the night, that surprised her for a bit, people back in Haenam slept by 9PM. She was scared from going out alone and talking to people at first, she used to wait till anyone was going out and went with them. However, when she started school, she quickly made a group of friends. She first met Choi Rim, she was very friendly and nice to her, she showed her around and ate lunch with her everyday and introduced her to the rest of the squad.
