YES....that's the impression i got after watching I.B.I's debut song...both MV and performance...

 

but before i continue spazzing...lemme let out some anger on this first...

what the heck music bank? they cut so much on their debut stage...the first do your dance part...is alrite...i can still accept...but they even cut the rap parts!!! omg....Hyeri's rap part is one of my favs...ughhhhh....

but i guess....they had no choice but to accept since it's better than MBC n SBS who seems to be determined to block any produce 101 products ey...although I.B.I is under diff management from I.O.I...too many similarities n the fact that all the girls here were from Produce 101...

and even Mnet...not putting up I.B.I's perf in their channel? sly aren't we?...i see what you did there...

ugh...

and I'm also annoyed at fangirls of some groups who'd all come to whine about...'omg...why they copy oppar's dance' blablablabla....

seriously?

well, all i can say is...add more fandoms for me to hate on...haa.

 

Anyway, let's begin the positive part...

Everyone, let's get to know and love I.B.I

I.B.I were made from the top 22 finalists...as you know...they were so close to debut but lost their chances to I.O.I members who won with more votes...the top 11....

and now, some of them in the top rankings were given a second chance to debut...

Han Hyeri (12th place in the final episode of produce 101), Lee Soohyun(13th place), Kim Sohee(15th place), Yoon Chaekyung (16th place) and Lee Haein(17th place) : if you're wondering about the 14th place, she already debuted in Gugudan/Gu9udan or whatever you call it...if you see this pic above from their produce 101 photoshoot...from left to right: Kim Sohee, Yoon Chaekyung, Lee Haein, Han Hyeri, Lee Suhyun

To be honest...i'm not the biggest fan of these girls...i fairly like Chaekyung and Hyeri...but i have quite a few girls i like n rooted for even more...these girls aren't completely underdogs too...considering they manage to reach that far in the competition where talents can't save you n only popularity can.

But the key is...there's no member i dislike here...and when i tried their song...despite my initial worries at the cutesy look....i was pleasantly surprised....the song wasn't outstanding or anything...but at least it didn't annoy me or make me cringe like IOI's debut song...and i was just about to get into IOI subunit's current promotion...after i watch this (and also WJSN/Cosmic Girls song...ironically, with another produce 101 girl/IOI member)...i lost interest in the new IOI's song...yikes. and also, maybe it's bcuz them debuting gives me hope...that chances can still come to those who are not popular enough...those who don't win...underdogs...though these girls are still far from underdogs...but compared to IOI...it's clear these girls never stood a chance considering the gap in popularity...andnow, here they are...a group of their own...shoutout to possibilities

The song i feel captured the essence IOI's Dream Girls tried to...but didn't succeed to for me...I.B.I's debut song has similar theme with I.O.I debut song...in terms of lyrics especially...but I.B.I song overwhelmed me and made me happy...especially seeing their live perf...i was just happy...i think having lesser number of members also help.

And also...i'm not the only one getting KARA vibes from them rite? (and watching their vids, suddenly I'm seeing Suhyun looking like KARA's Kang Jiyoung...maybe just my eyes)  speaking of that..random but Rainbow's Kim Jisook was their photographer for their concept photoshoot....how cool rite? they get a celebrity to be their photographer...lol. i feel like Chaekyung n Sohee are getting a lot from produce 101...didn't they just debut with CIVA(although that was kinda  a parody group)....but their public recognition will rise with the more exposure...

As you should know, my fav in produce 101 is of course, Hwang Sooyeon n i'm rooting for her debut the most...her charisma on stage is overflowing...even if she's not popular enough to even get to top35 sadly...her team's Hot Issue vid is still one of the top popular vids in mnet's channel for produce 101 especially just counting the first mission......oh...Suhyun n Hyeri from IBI were also from Hwang Sooyeon's Hot Issue team so you can find them here....though i'm pretty damn sure more than 50% of the views were caused by Hwang Sooyeon and by 50%...i'm actually being modest...pretty sure it's way more than that...haa, although admittedly everyone in the team did fabulously. their victory was huge bcuz they beat Choi freaking Yoojung's team...as you should know...Choi Yoojung has always been top3 popular girl in the entire produce 101 competition...they're the underdog team but tables were flipped so hard for this round...thanks to Sooyeon's uberawesomeness...but sadly...it still goes back to popularity in the end...not to say choi yoojung's not good bcuz she seems to be among the best now in IOI subunit,...but there are not so impressive ones that got far too...just sayin...

But Chaekyung i notice really has the visual material...not just cuz she has pretty face...they all are pretty...but her wide, bright smile can make anyone's day i reckon...ok maybe i'm generalizing? but ain't it? and i love her gestures when dancing? she never controlled or try to make her gestures pretty by makig her moves small or something...i mean...loook at how she always stretch her hands widely when she dance n stuff...i've notice all these qualities since her first round battle in produce 101 with Into The New World(i think she was center in her team)..and she's always full of spirit n life...i find that very attractive. here:

although i must say Park Haeyoung won me here...i loveee her voice. soooo refreshing...shame that their team lost...but can't be helped...the other team was definitely far more popular...and two IOI members were in there...haa...well, one in here

and here's for Hyeri & Haein

beware of Hyeri's cuteness...it kills. you've been warned.

 

Haein and Suhyun were from same agency so they'd already have rapport amongst themselves and Hyeri seems to luvv and adore Haein from produce 101 time...i think probly since the 2nd battle when they're in same team? Chaekyung n Sohee would've gotten closer too probly from all their CIVA activities...Chaekyung n Sohee even promoted together with Shiyoon(Chaekyung's labelmate who's also from the show)on outdoor event...so i'm hoping for good teamwork from them, besides, as far as i could see, Chaekyung's the type that gets along with everyone n drama free.....also....during the 2nd last mission...Haein & Suhyun were in same team, and Sohee, Chaekyung, Hyeri also in one team...

team Sohee, Hyeri, Chaekyung: i feel bad for Kang Sira...she's one of the top in vocals...but still nowhere to be seen fter the show...but her fans need to stop bringing her everywhere in other girls videos while putting others down it gets annoying...

team Suhyun, Haein: Kim Juna's awesomeness gives me goosebumps...vocally...i'd give juna n sira higher credits than yeonjung...but that's just me...to me, singing is not just high notes but delivering emotions and depth...n they did it alrite...Hyeongeun was awesome too here, shame she got so little parts...probly for being the center?

 

so pretty much yeah...i promoted other girls i like too here...lol. there are still more...but to make it up for the lack of I.B.I spazzing...
