Appearance:
Human Form: She has yellowish blonde hair, that people always asume she dyed, with hazel eyes (light green with a hint of honey brown). She has her powers in her human form as well as her serpent form. However, in her serpent form her powers are stronger and more stable. Still, when she uses her powers in her human form, her eyes turn from hazel to emerad green. Her height is quite avarage, 169cm, as is her weight, 55kg.
Has an S line birthmark on the center of her back. Wears a metal cuff on her left arm, and a necklace/choker holding a single black bead. Since she was captured they have put restraints on her wrists that burn her skin with freezing dry ice everytime she resists. They do this, because they didn't know what her powers were and had put electricity to shock her like the rest of the captured creatures, however, that fueled her and she electricuted some of the staff members who were holding her down. She has faint burn marks circling her wrists, where her restraints were. Also, has burn marks starting from her upper to lower back from her last days there, when they would torture her to get her to cooperate.

Supernatural Form: Mei rarely turns into her serpent form, simply because she mostly lived in the human world and her mother was scared that others would discover her. However, when she does, she turns into an 11 feet tall golden serpent, with piercing emerald green eyes. Once she's in her supernatural form, her metal cuff, is still seen but now as a bracelet in her serpent wrist. The double choker turns into a mark in her skin along with the black bead. Since she was captured they have put restraints on her that do not allow her to transform into her supernatural form, if she had she would have finished the lot of them. Her serpent form does not hold the scars that she has in her human form, for her serpent form can heal itself of wounds and scars.

Style:
Human Form: In her human form Mei tends to wear the usual, jeans or shorts, accompanied by a white or black t-shirt with short sassy quotes, and sometimes plaid shirts over it. She wears black converse and wears her hair either loose or in a messy bun.

Supernatural Form: She turns into an 11 feet tall serpent, her clothes break when she transforms. And when she transforms back she's unclothed. That's why she usually carries in her bag, extra clothes just in case.

Personality:

— 4D, eccentric, unique, peculiar, alternative
Mei is what some call eccentric while others call crazy. She's always had a different way of thinking or doing things. She's always been very unique and peculiar with her thoughts, ideas and actions. This is something that she values a lot, for when she needs to survive it helps her a great deal, however, other people tend to shun her and critizice her because of it. It mostly gets her into trouble with those who prefer "normal" and "conventional" ways of thinking, rather than radical ways. She's been called "weird, crazy" and all sort of negative connotations, not only because of her personality but also her physical appearance. She's still such a 4D character, even though she's been through EX'ACT, that experience has actually made her access her alternative means of survival, and has hightened her sense of justice.
— curious, impulsive, care-free, free-spirited, determined
Mei has always been a curious cat, uh serpent. She's always been one to follow her nose wherever it may lead her. Without thinking much of the consequences, which is one of the reasons as to why she ended up in EX'ACT. She's impulsive that way. Even when it comes to her emotions, they tend to get the best of her. Especially when someone insults or hurts a person she cares about. However, this may lead to her getting into trouble with others for she can get into fights or get that person so mad that would edge them to react in a negative way. She can't keep her smart-a** mouth shut, especially when she wants to vex the other person. Before EX'ACT Mei was care-free not really having any serious anxieties or responsibilities. She was free-spirited and independent, not really restrained to any serious cause. However, after EX'ACT she's become determined to eradicate all of the EX'ACT preserves and goals.
analytical, intelligent, perceptive, astute, observant, reflective
Mei was always very intelligent and clever. Her mother would always encourage her to learn and read books. She was perceptive, as she observed the situation, she would get glimpses of what was happening, or how the person was. To a scientific mind this was essential, however, it also made her over-confident of her skills or ideas, which are not always right. She was observant of her surroundings, however, after EX'ACT, she's become extremely more so and reflective as well. Taking in every detail. This has made her calculative and more stoic, deciding to put aside feelings and emotions and focus on things logically. Which is also, not really the right way to go, for there needs to be a balance of both emotions and logic.
— sarcastic, sassy, opinionated, cynical, suspicious, private
Mei can't help but be sarcastic and sassy, she likes to tease others, and finds it amusing when she sees them struggle to remain polite. She always has an opinion about everything, and is not intimidated or afraid to speak her mind. Because of this she may seem arrogant, and she comes off too strong to some people. She either makes a really good impression, others finding her funny, or a really bad one, some finding her annoying and cocky. This hasn't changed even after EX'ACT. She was very open with others, however, after EX'ACT she became cynical and distrustful, knowing full well that people are capable of when they are bought with money and power. She became reserved and private, making sure not to share anything of her personal life, or past with others, making other feel distant from her. Even though she may joke around a lot with them, they can't really say that they know her.
patient, adaptable, kind, dependable, empathetic
Mei has learned to be more patient, when it comes to her actions, she should think things through. However, she's always been one to be patient with people, she feels like people can sometimes be predictable and you just have to be patient to get the information you need from them, as well as get the result you want from the situation or experiment. You have to be patient and learn to be resilent when it comes to science, therefore she was one to always be prepared for any outcome making her adaptable to her surrounding and situation. Being rebellious, however, has led her to be true to her convictions and not give in, but it has provided her with the motivation to find other solutions. Because of this she can be quite dependable. She's trustworthy and loyal, once she likes someone, she likes them and will eventually care about them. And even when they get on her nerves, or she doesn't trust them at first, once they prove that they are trustworthy as well, she'll eventually open up to that person. She's quite empathetic, so she can picture herself in others shoes, understand and feel their pain. Therefore, when she learns about the others stories, she can't help but feel close and protective towards them.

Background:

[ Once Upon a Time ] Mei's parents met in the Huang river in China. Her mother was a scientist, currently investigating the polution of the Huang and Yangtze rivers. That day a storm, was reported to hit any minute. Her mother did not know of the weather forecast. Her crew and her were seperated. She was walking on the edge of the river bank, the wind was blowing hard, and rain was starting to fall down. She was looking at her map when there was a gush of wind and it blew the map out of her hand and into the water, a few inches near her feet. She leaned in to grab the map, but slipped and fell into the river. Because of the weather the river was moving fast and hard, little waves forming and splashing against her face once she surfaced. She whirled around trying to figure out where land was, she turned her head and was met with a broken tree branch, that hit her with huge force on the back of her head. She lost her strenght for a moment and sank in the water, the last thing she remembers is the glowing golden figure of a snake-dragon like creature, before closing her eyes and sinking deeper into the river. She woke up with a start, as air once again filled her lungs, she quickly sat up, coughing out water. She felt a hand lightly hitting her back. She turned and was met by a blonde, green eyed stranger. He smiled at her and asked if she was alright. His eyes were slowly turning from emerald green to a light hazel color. What happened next, was just as one would suppose. They fell in love and started living together.

[ Best of Both Worlds ] Mei's parents settled in Lanzhou, China. Mei was born a year later, in the banks of the Huang river. Her mother had been drawn there, for reasons that were quite clear. Mei was born in the form of a baby girl with blonde hair and green eyes. Many people always looked at Mei weird, she was a perky, energetic yet peculiar child. She would grab the attention of everyone, wherever she would go, simply because of the way she looked. However, once they saw the three of them, they would understand were the girl got her looks and peculiarity from. Mei spent most of her time homeschooled by both her parents, whenever her father was around he would teach her control over her powers, self-defense (against the bullies who would pull her hair, and once threw black ink on it, in the playground), as well as the stories of the 4 serpents, and would take her on outings to learn about magical creatures. Her mother, on the other hand, would teach her mundane subjects such as history, math, languages and science. Her favorite subject was science, since it was close to magic in her eyes.

[ Travels ] After her father died, when Mei was 10, her mother found work in Osaka, Japan. They moved there a year later, her mother thought they both needed a fresh start. In Osaka she met her best friend and fellow serpent, Jin. He had purple hair and as soon as they saw each other, they knew. They could see their true forms. Jin got bullied for his purple hair as well, and was considered a punk and delinquent because of the fights he would get into, he never started them though. Mei then got into fights as well defending him. She would not start the argument, but could sometimes throw the first punch. Then, they would get back home with a bloody lip or eyebrow, but both would be laughing at each other. At 16, her mother had been transferred to Australia. She announced the move and Mei was devastated. They stayed in Australia until she was 18. Then, they moved to Germany. Mei went to University there and studied for her Bachelor's a major in Chemical Engineering and minor in Molecular Biology. Once she graduated, her mother announced that they would be moving, again, to Jeju Island. Mei was a bit excited by this, since it was close to were her aunt lived in Seoul, and not that far from Japan.

[ Discovered and Trapped ]
This time they were about to move, again, in less than a year, Mei had gotten tired of moving and wanted to stay. The night when Mei was captured, she had fallen into an argument with her mother, about her wanting to stay and work on her own. Her mother had heard rumors about a certain company that was performing experiments on non-humans. Her mother wanted to get out of there, for the sake of Mei, but didn't tell her the reason why. Mei didn't want to leave. She decided to visit her aunt in Seoul, and maybe get her help in persuading her mother. She was on her way to her aunt's place, when she fell asleep in the subway and ended up in the opposite side. She decided to walk outside and take a taxi there. However, once she got out of the subway, she felt strange, for she had never felt so much magic in one place. She saw the words EX'ACT in the name plate of the building, and felt that she had heard of the name before. Her curiousity got the better of her and she decided to circle the place, looking for the magical prescence. She went in threw the back gate, frying the electric lock. She hid in the bushes when she heard people walking near by. A group of armed guards were escorting a unicorn, who was transformed as a girl. The girl tripped and one of the guards pushed her with his gun to get up. This infuriated Mei, for unicorns were the most peaceful and kind-hearted magical creatures. She didn't move, not until another guard pushed the unicorn to the ground and started kicking her. Mei, knew she had promised never to turn into her supernatural form, but she could still use her powers. Thunder sounded from a distance and suddently a bolt of lighting hit the guard, sending him flying back. She got out from the bushes and went next to the unicorn, another guard shot her with a tazer gun. This simply amplified her control over electricity, and the guard who shot her was electricuted from the other end. They ran towards the gate where she entered, but were blocked by a guard with squinty unfriendly eyes and pointy ears. Mei glared at them, and once again lighting struck were they stood. The guard with the squinty eyes, pointed a gun at her, and shot her. This time, Mei felt her eyelids heavy and everything spining. She took out the dart, and realized that it was a tranquilizer. She fell to her knees, she looked up and saw the guard, standing over her. The last thing she saw was his gun being raised, and then she felt something hard hit her. Darkness. She woke up hours later restrained to a bed, in a white room.

Present:
[
Not exactly human, 100% Supernatural ] Mei had never felt hatred towards humans. She had some whom she'd dislike a lot. Especially the ones who made fun of her best friend and her, or the ones she fought with. However, her mother and aunt were human, and she had met kind humans, scientists and all. She had liked them, loved them even. However, the month that she was in captivity made her change the way she looked at humans and science. She had always viewed science as a sort of magic that humans had, different from the magical creatures magic, but that had wonderful and enchanting properties, that could make humans fly, heal, transform and sometimes even destroy. Still, she was fascinated by it. However, after being experimented on, tortured and treated as something as low as a cockcroach, Mei wanted nothing more than revenge on those who had treated not only her but other creatures such as her, like dirt beneath their feet. She had always felt like she could be part of both the human and the magical world, but now she felt like they had forced her to choose, and she would certainly choose to save the magical world. She was still aware that not all humans were like the ones that tortured her. For, her mother was human and other humans were kind, however, she couldn't see the rest of the humans the same again. She would not befriend strange humasn, like she used to do. She would suspect them and become distant with them, for she felt like she could not trust them. She finally understood, why her mother never wanted Mei to transform into her supernatural form. Because humans would never accept her, they would fear her and even kill her.

[ EX'ACT ] Since she arrived they had an incling of her powers. She didn't tell them her name, or history. Afraid that they would use her family as leverage. They soon found out about her powers of electricity, for she had used them when they captured her, and again when trying to escape. After that day, they changed her cuff, to burn her with dry ice, instead of electricuting her like the other creatures. She had seen only two other creatures since she had been there. The unicorn that she had tried to rescue, and a djinn. She wasn't cooperating, they had to almost sedate her to draw blood from her. She refused to show them more of their powers. She aggravated the guards, to such point that one of them beat her. There she met Yixing for the first time, and he healed her. There she started analyzing if they were using humans in their experiments as well. She was still of use to them, for a purpose she knew not of. Still, her uncooperation was starting to iritate not only the guards but the doctors. They started torturing her to get her to cooperate. Hanged her hands from the ceiling, broke her shirt and burned her with dry ice all over her back. The torture took a toll on her, and they let her recuperate. However, they took her to labs only to heal her wounds and take her blood, but found her more controlled than before. However, she was already stealing, whenever and whatever she could, to begin her escape plan. However, who would've thought that another person had an escape plan as well.

[ After Escaping ]  The toture took a toll on her, she did not like people touching her, especially her back or wrists. She was still sassy, sarcastic and hot-headed, however, now she could be more observant, distant and quiet. She would have nightmares and sometimes her scars would hurt, even though they were fully healed. She didn't trust people like she did before. Once, she's back in the human world, she can't help but still feel like she had to keep sharp, for EX'ACT was still active and could capture them at any moment. She had to make sure that EX'ACT were always ten or more steps behind them. She is all for shutting down all of the EX'ACT preserves. She will not let anymore magical creatures suffer in the hands of those sadistic doctors and scientists. Also, she needs to stop it, in order to protect her loved ones, her family, as well as, her best friend, Jin, who thankfully has not been found.

I'm engraved in your heart; even when I die, we won't be torn apart

Family:

▻ Father | Huang Xing He (fc. Daniel Wu) | 982 (age when he died) | Former Yellow Serpent | caring, gentle, wise

Mei was really close to her father. He taught her, about the legends of the 4 serpents, how to control her powers in her human forn, as well as self-defense. He would go on outings, so that she could see and meet other magical creatures that lived near them. While, in turn, her mother taught her of science , mathematics and languages. He was very kind and loving, towards them. Sometimes, he would dissapear for months but would always return. Her mother would say that she's a wanderer that has stopped his travels for them, and that even though he leaves, he'll always return to them. He stopped traveling the year Mei turned 10, that year her powers had grown stronger and she had transformed into a yellow serpent for the first time since she was born. Because of this her fathers powers had grown weak. He helped her deal with the transformation, but soon after he grew sickly and couldn't transform into a serpent again. "You will live to be at most 1000 years old." her father told her once. "How old are you?" "I'm 977." "Dad, you're really old!" "That's very true." he chuckled. "You don't look that old. Like 40 the most." He ruffled her hair. "We don't age like humans do." "But I'm half human aren't I?" she asked him, confused. "You were born to a human, but you are not a half human. You, as am I, are a descendant of the Yellow Dragon. We have some human blood in our veins, for we have the ability to shape ourselves into looking like humans but our true form is that of the Yellow Dragon. Now that you are born, I will soon perish, and my powers will slowly diminish, as yours grow. Remember there are only 4 descendants of the 4 dragon serpents. And you, my dear, will be the only descendant of the Yellow Dragon. For my time will soon come to an end."  That year he died.

▻ Mother | Jiang Yi Chen (fc. Michelle Yeoh)  | 43 | Human (Environmental Scientist) | clever, caring, strict

Her mother was very intelligent and caring but could also be ver strict. Her mother would teach her more mundane subjects, unlike her father, but Mei's favorite subject from the human world was science. Science was similar to magic. Her mother was an environmental scientist. She worked for 10 years in China, but when Mei's father died, her mother dealt with the grief by moving. They constantly moved from place to place. Her mother would get jobs working in facilities, based off friends and colleagues whom she previously worked with. She was a bit over-protective of Mei and homeschooled her until she went to University. It wasn't until Mei was 21 that she went off to Seoul, on her own for the very first time. Her mother had alowed her to go, being that she had already gratuated from (something science related, chemistry), and was to stay with her aunt and work with one of her mother's scientist friends to gain work experience. She was on no occasion to transform or use her powers, for nothing.

▻ Aunt / Roommate | Jiang Xiao Yi (fc. Hong Jinkyung) | 39
| Human | playful, hard-working, sarcastic

She's a reporter and Mei's aunt from her mother's side. She moved to South Korea when she was 18, to study there at University. She found a job at a news company and has stayed there ever since. Mei's mother asked her if Mei could stay with her, when she went to study in South Korea. Mei had gone a few times before to visit her aunt, with her mother. Her aunt was kinda of like Mei, 4 dimensional and candid, they got along really well, and were a handful whenever they were together with the mind of teasing someone or fangirling over something. They were both passionate with their fields, and Mei would always count on her to tell her all the gossip details on politions, celebreties, etc.

Friends:

▻ Best Friend | Yang Jin | 24 | Long Serpent (Water Element) | kind, loyal, energetic

Mei and Jin met when she moved to Japan, when she was 11 years old. Jin had been born in China, to a Japanese woman, unlike Mei who was lucky enough to spend time with the former descendant, Jin didn't. His predecessor died a year after he was born. So, Jin and his mother moved when he was a year old to Japan, and have lived there ever since. It was coincidence that they were neighbors, However, when Mei saw Jin, and he noticed her, they both knew that the other was a serpent. There are only 4 descendants of the 4 serpent in the world, and if they ever meet they know at once that they are serpents, only serpents can find and identify the other serpents. They lived in houses next to each other. Mei and Jin were both very energetic, although Mei was the chatter box, while Jin was more quiet and shy. Mei was usually the one to get them into trouble, since she was the master mind of whichever operation they were doing. Jin would try and take the blame, although Mei would never let him, and her mother knew who convinced who. They were each others best friend, and when someone would dare bully them, they would always have each others back. Mei was homeschooled but Jin wasn't. Sometimes, he would get bullied, and into fights. Mei would end up getting into fights as well defending him. When Mei was 16, her mother announced that they would move to Australia, they were both depressed. Mei didn't want to say goodbye, so she didn't tell him when they left. But messaged him afterwards, when they had landed in Australia. They still keep in contact.

Others:

▻ Allies | Kim Jongdae | 23
| Experiment 21 | witty, hot-headed, sassy

Once they escaped and she saw that out of all of the experiments he was the one to have the same powers as her, she became curious. Curious about the extent of his powers and how it affected him. She quickly interviewed interrogated him about it. She would find any means of opening up conversations about their powers with him, she would help him overcome certain difficulties within it, like controling lighting and electricity, which were both harder for him. He was curious about her as well, since she was the original source of his powers. They have sort of the same, snarky humor and personality so they got along really well.

▻ Allies | Jin Seyeon | 21
| Human | sensitive, loyal, spontaneous

They met the day of the escape. Mei had almost gathered enough tools and ingredients to make a bomb, she was positive that the only way to escape such a highly secured place, was by blasting herself out of there. Her cage door had opened, and in came a brown haired wide eyed human. She beckoned Mei to leave there with her, she heard chaos behind the girl. Mei hesitated for an instant, thinking that it may be another twisted and sadistic experiment. Still, she looked at the girls pleading eyes, and quickly followed her out, taking with her the small deadly device. Thinking that even if it was a trap, she would take advantage of it. She saw that others were following the girl, a mix of humans and other supernatural creatures. They were running, shooting, fighting. As they rounded a corner, Guard Soohyuk, corned them, with a bunch of other armed guards behind him. He looked at Mei for an instant and then spoke to everyone of the escapees to surrender. Mei smirked and pushed through the people in front of her. She told Soohyuk to take his warning and shove it. She then told everyone to run the way they had come and threw the little device, like a bowling ball, to where Soohyuk and his men were. The device was silent, Soohyuk looked up with a questioning look at Mei. Mei waved goodbye, the device then started beeping fast. Finally, an explosion shook the building. Once they came back, a hole was created in the wall, and they could see outside. "There, now we have an exit." Mei said. Seyeon looked at Mei perplexed. They escaped while causing chaos. Mei thought she could trust Seyeon a bit since she did help her escape, however, once she learned that Seyeon was the daughter of the person who created this organization, she couldn't help but never truly trust her and be suspicious of her. Always questioning her motives. Which annoyed Seyeon, and they would get into discussions. However, once they kept destroying and shutting down other preserves, Mei felt that Seyeon truly regretted what her mother did, and was not the same as her mother. Mei then felt that she could rely on Seyeon. Although, she would still playfully , they weren't as hostile with each other as before. Both feeling that they could depend on the other, and trust each other. Especially, when they rescued each other from dangerous situations, and talked about their past.

▻ Enemy / Guard | Lee Soohyuk
 | 30 | Human | slow-witted, narrow-minded, humorless

He was the main guard in charged of watching her and keeping her in check at all times, there were two others but she would never see their faces or hear their voices. She would always try and make conversation with Seungho to see what was going on, but he only ever dismissed her remarks or when she got really sassy with him would just slap her to shut her up for good. He would take her to the labs and back, would restrain her when she would fight, and would look at her with absolute disgust and hatred, of course the feeling was mutual. The worst he did, besides keeping her locked up and chained in that infernal place, was beat her up because of and continuous insults. They reprimanded him for it in front of her and she smiled at him. A bloody toothy grin, that made him clench his fists. However, after that incident, he never touched her again. They hate each other to say the least. She hates him, as much as she hates the person who invented EX'ACT and that psycho doctor (refer to Yixing's page) who keeps torturing her and taking her blood, while saying it's for the good of mankind, as if still trying to convince himself that all the creatures that he has murdered have died for a cause.

Zhang Yixing

Character Nickname(s):

Yixing || Project Exo, or more an EX'ACT doctor, gave him this nickname, because of Yixing not having any professional qualifications in the field of medicine and yet being so adequate in the subject.

Birthdate/Age: October 7, 1991; 24

Birthplace: Changsha, China

Hometown: Changsha, China

Background:
[ My life wasn't a fairy tale to begin with.
Yixing was born in Changsha, China. His father was almost never home, always working, he worked in a pharmaceutical company. His mother worked as a teacher. He spent almost all of his time with her. His father apart from being a workaholic, was an impulsive gambler. He would hear his parents often fighting over lost money. When Xiying was 9 his mother got diagnosed with cancer. While paying for the hospital and treatment fees, but still gambling, his father lost most of their money. He then decided to borrow money from loan sharks. At Yixing's 10th birthday his mother died. His father now having to owe money to dangerous people decided to apply for a job that sent both of them packing and moving to Seoul, South Korea. He worked as a security guard in a mall, a friend got him the job. A year after, he married to a woman with two children. A boy that was a year younger than Yixing and a younger girl. Yixing and his younger sister would get along really well, however, even though he would try to get along with his step-brother, his step-brother wanted nothing to do with him. However, his father had asked that they get along.

[ I struggled everyday to achieve my goals.
Yixing got into Seoul National University, Bachelor's in Medicine and Microbiology. His step-brother wanted to become an idol, and got into a Fine Arts Private Academy. However, his father pressured with work, started gambling again and drinking. This led him to loose most of his money, he could no longer afford to pay for Yixing's last year of University. Yixing was told by his step-mother to drop out. However, he didn't want to, he had top grades, loved his classes and in his last year was about to begin his intership at Seoul National Univerisity's Hospital. Yixing had some money saved up for his tuition just in case, his father knew and asked to borrow the money, since they needed it for his younger step-sisters tuition at school, food, house expenses and such. Yixing
told his father that the money was for his tuition, but his father quickly reprimanded him for being selfish, that even though he could become a doctor his mother had already died and that he couldn't save anyone, his father then felt bad and ended the scolding with, "I'll pay you back." Yixing's father took the money. This led Yixing to somehow find a way to get money to pay for tuition.

[ And so that's how I ended up in EX'ACT.
He heard about EX'ACT from one of his university professors. His professor told him that for an intership they were very exclusive when choosing applicants but he was confident that Yixing would get in. It would be the best way to earn lots of money in a small amount of time. They told him that few interships were open, and that he didn't really have qualifications for them. However, he applied and was chosen, mostly thanks to the recommendation of the professor. Before he would start they did his physical examination and once they drew and examined his blood, the doctor told him about a study that they were conducting that would pay a great deal of money. They didn't really explain a lot of details, simply that it would take some time, he would live in the facility with the rest of the test subjects, and would be paid for his last two years of University tuition in full. The doctor added that it would be beneficial for Yixing because as he read in the file Yixing's already studying medicine, so he would learn more about those areas and gain some medical experience. This intriged Yixing but he still felt that it was a bit sketchy because when he asked for more details on the tests that they would be performing, the doctor would answer, the tests are minor and quite safe. Yixing, felt apprehensive, and wanted time to think about it but the doctor would then insist on him staying and be quite pushy. This raised an alarm in Yixing's head and he was about to say no, when the doctor reminded him of his future, and how he would not find a better offer. Still, every fiber of Yixing was screaming no, so he declined the offer. The doctor's face turned from his polite smile to a serious expression, "I'm sorry to hear it." Yixing got up and walked out of the office and into the elevator. The doctor was still looking at him, from the glass walls of the office. The elevator door closed. Yixing sighed. A small part of him regretted saying no, but he was not going to change his mind. As the elevator doors opened on the ground floor, Yixing looked up and saw the doctor with four men, that looked like SWAT officers, behind him. Two of the men were armed, the other two in front grabbed Yixing by the arms. Yixing struggled, he was able to shove one of him and punch the other, while running, however one of the armed men shot him with a tranquilizer gun and he fell to the floor. The doctor hovered above him, "You should have been lenient from the beginning. But don't worry, this will be very beneficial towards you and humanity." "Who are you?" "From the moment I saw your blood sample and then read your file, I knew that we had found another candidate for the super-medic." "Super-medic?" "Oh, don't worry the last nine, I was never sure of but you...you I am very hopeful." "What is it...that you...do...here?" His eyelids closed and he fell unconscious. He was 21 years old, when he was proclaimed missing. And has been missing for 3 years.

[ EX'ACT has no principles. They only have one goal in mind.
Yixing woke up in a confined room. There was a bed, a desk with a stack of papers, two pens, and medical books. On the other side, there was a shower head, a urinal and a sink. On the wall opposite of the bed, was a mirror that took up the entire wall, Yixing guessed that it was a mirror to him but a window to the people behind it. The first time they took him to perform the genome experiment on him, he felt like his head was going to explode. They had injected him with a hybrid genome of W207 and W974 from werewolves. Yes, werewolves. Before they had taken him into the labs, the doctor had come into his cell, "holding vicinity", and explained what EX'ACT was, even showed him on his way over to the lab, magical creatures. Yixing could not believe his eyes. The doctor explained the process, while they strapped him to the seat, and injected him with the genomes. "Why are you telling me all of this?!" he screamed through the pain. His body felt like it was burning all over and his head felt like it had been cracked open. "Because, I need you to know. You're special. You're going to be a super-medic, how else will you know how to treat people or creatures if you don't know the correct serums, genomes or terms." "You think this is treating people?" Yixing asked through gritted teeth, he passed out from the pain, and woke up in his cell. He would sweat cold, became feverish, vomited and sometimes got into a fit of rage, where he would just destroy everything. He would be subjected to tests, after the injections, to see if he had gained any special abilities, he did. His senses were heightened, he could hear people's heartbeats, he could run at more than 400mph. And he was stronger. After that they, injected him with a new genome, Un783, a genome from a unicorn. This one was not like the werewolf genome. He felt light-headed and a ticklelish feeling all over his body. He didn't pass out. However, once they returned him to his cell, he felt a strong headache, his body ached all over, and his heart rate was through the roof. They took him back to the lab, to check his vitals, but everything seemed fine, except for the huge amount of pain that he felt as every minute passed. They decided to sedate him. He woke up three days later, having passed out. He appeared to be fine but wouldn't wake up. Apparently, it sent him in a sort of coma. The doctor believed that it may have been due to the ancient blood of the unicorn, that Yixing's body reacted in such a way. After returning him to his cell, he simply sat down on the desk and kept reading more of the medical and biology books that were left for him. A few days later, they took him out to test if he had gained abilities. They saw that he was able to heal poisons and most injuries. However, for some reason, Yixing could not heal himself. Everything was going well, he showed more promise than the other experiments, but the only flaw was that he could not heal himself.

Before the experiments, Yixing was a very perky guy, after he became more stoic, serious and silent. Observing and absorving everything around him, rather than impulsively acting on things. He was taught many things about the experiments and magical creatures that the other human experiments did not have the priveledge of knowing. He studied the human experiments, as well as the magical creatures. He feels guilt in this, because of his participation in the medical research involving the creatures. However, they usually called on him to heal, rather than torture. Still, after EX'ACT, he wasn't the same. He didn't know who to trust, and felt great pity for those magical creatures, and shame in becoming an accomplise in some sort. However, he needed to study, for it was the only way he would learn, and knowledge was power. He could use this against EX'ACT one day, or at least, that's what he hoped.

Personality:
Before: Sweet, Pushover
Always: Caring, Calm, Protective, Thoughtful
After: Serious, Nonchalant, Candid, Calculative

— sweet, pushover
Yixing had always been described as a "sweet boy". He would always be kind and polite towards others. Never really showing his frustrations or anxieties. Therefore, others would sometimes take advantage of his kindness. They would use him to work for them, or help them. He was a pushover, and could be very easily manipulated, even though he knew what the other person was up to. He felt like he could help them in some way, when really he was just aiding to their crime. Even if the crime was taking advantage of him, he would let them. After EX'ACT, he has still a trace of the kind Yixing, but there is no sweetness left in him, and he is no longer a pushover. He would never let people take advantage of him again.
— caring, calm
Yixing has always been caring, and it doesn't matter what happened to him in EX'ACT, he always will be. Especially with the people he cares about. I guess that's why he makes such an outstanding healer. He cares about the patients well being. Yixing has gained the ability to remain calm. Calm in almost any situation. He likes to look at all of the possibilities, and pick the best outcome, rather than do things impulsively.
— serious, nonchalant
The smiling boy, has turned into a very serious and sometimes even frowning individual. He has a nonchalant appearance. He may appear unconcerned, however, inside his head many thoughts pass. It's just that he's learned to control his emotions and facial expressions, as to his emotions not be used against him.
— candid, calculative
Yixing was polite, so he would try not to hurt others feelings by being to honest. However, Yixing is not candid. He can diagnost a patient who's about to die and with a stoic expression say that they are about to die. He doesn't sugarcoat anything. He says things as he thinks could occur. However, he's very calculative, knowing what to say, when to say it. He thinks things threw a dozen times in his head before acting on it. He can sometimes also be manipulating, meaning that he prefers to have a situation that's favorable and has the highest outcome of success.
— protective, thoughtful
Even though, Yixing can now appear to be heartless and cold, he's actually quite protective of those he cares about and is still quite thoughtful of others. His facial expressions or words never show it, but his actions show that he can be considerate, understanding and sympathetic towards others and their emotional and physical pain.

Summary:
Zhang Yixing was always one to help others. Since little, his dream has been to have the power to save people, and he has been given just that. However, just like he was before, he was able to help others but always sacrificing himself. He's been given powers to heal others but cannot heal himself. A bit ironic, but if you knew how he was before, you'd say that it fit his personality perfectly. From a sweet, kind young man, to a serious and nonchalant person. Which is amusing for some when they hear but for Chanyeol thinking about Yixing being "a sweet pushover", vexes him, for he seriously prefers the cool bad-a** medic that he is now.

First Meeting:
Mei had already been captured for about a week, she had already cuts in her wrists from the restraints, but now she had bruises from the beating she took from one of the guards, and a dislocated shoulder. They had positioned Yixing as one of the main doctors, to treat the supernatural creatures, EX'ACT wanted this especially since they would also test his powers. He arrived at Mei's cell and approached her. "Don't touch me!" Mei hissed. He looked at her wounds carefully, then at her medical chart. "If you don't let me heal you, the wounds on your wrist can get cangrena and might need to be cut off. Also, I need to set your shoulder." "I'm fine." Yixing touched her shoulder, Mei winced and glared at him. Yixing looked at her, and raised his eyebrow. "The circulation has not been cut off yet, I do not have cangrena. I have an infection because of the constant reopening of the wound." She spat. "Yes, but if I leave the infection without tending for more than a day, and you keep on getting burnt by the dry ice, then in due time your blood will no longer circulate and you will lose all blood and feeling of your wrists. They will putrify in due time, and you will lose them." Mei didn't say anything. What he said made perfect sense. She could not lose her hands, she needed them the most. They were the precious tools that she used to invent, protect herself and could use to escape. Also, her shoulder did need to be set, it would hurt but she needed her strenght in order to escape the place. "Listen, these people don't care about you or your emotional well being. They don't care if you're happy or angry, all they care about is physical health, so that they can keep on testing you." Mei was surprised by his honesty, most of the doctors that attended her lied through their teeth, all the time. She took this opportunity to ask. "They keep on wanting to take samples of my blood. Why?" "I'm not allowed to say. You'll figure it out soon enough." Yixing held out both her free hands, the soldier pointed a tranquilizer gun to her head, just in case. "I won't do anything." Mei stared at the soldier and smirked. "Yet." Yixing smiled at this. Which surprised Mei, wasn't he working for them. He placed his hands on top of her wrists and closed his eyes. Mei felt a sting in her wounds, then cool. She looked up at Yixing eyes, her own eyes wide and amazed, a smile crept her lips. "But, you're human." She stated. Yixing looked up at her, "Not anymore." Mei's eyes twinkled with curiosity. "Allright." Said the guard, "Fun's over." Mei grabbed Yixing's hands before he could leave. "Hey! Let him go!" The guard pointed the gun at her and shouted. Mei ignored him, she looked straight at Yixing. "You can heal others by magic, and yet you're human. How?" Yixing answered calmly. "I'm not allowed to say." "Are there other magical creatures here? Is the blood they're collecting from me being experimented on? Are there others like you? Also, can you heal yourself?" Yixing was surprised at the sudden reaction and the many questions that were mostly spot on, but relaxed. "I'm not allowed to say. And, no. I can't heal myself." Mei pouted. An odd yet endearing reaction in Yixing's eyes, he could see that she was a little dissapointed. He smiled, for some reason she was very sincere at least with her facial expressions. She noticed that he was observing her, he thought that she would change her expression to a more serious one, instead she grinned at him. She let go of his hands and winked, "I'll be looking forward to seeing you again, what's your name?" Before he could tell her, the guard pulled her away and cuffed her. "Break it up." "Aw, don't get jealous. We were never exclusive and I don't date men who beat women." The guard glared at her, as did she but with a cold smile. Yixing was wondering why did they let the guard who had beaten her up, still be in charge of her. He felt a strong sense of guilt and pity, once again. Mei was dragged away, Yixing just stood there looking after her. Wondering if he would ever see her again, probably not.

They had their first official meeting, once Mei was freed from her cell and they were escaping. He noticed her by her blonde hair. She noticed him as well. They didn't talk until they were both out of the vacinity. She approched him. She grinned, "I told you we'd see each other again. I'm Mei, you?" She asked, as she reached for his hand to shake it. Yixing was a bit startled by the action but nontheless shook her hand, "Yixing." he answered. "Well, Yixing you might find all of the questions that I'm about to ask annoying but I'm counting on you to answer them." And with that started asking a million questions about the experiments, wanting to know just exactly what was going on. Yixing decided to hear all of her questions, and internally smiled thinking that she did warn him after all. Still, this time he answered them.

Relationship:

After escaping and talking about what was happening, she thought of Yixing as someone who she could consider a friend, although he didn't seem to consider her as anything but allies and acquaintances. She was always the one to approach him, she did admit, that his powers intrigued her, along with the rest of the humans who had them, as well as the creatures she had never seen before. They had the same goal, so it was of no surprise that they would eventually end up working together. They both knew a lot about science. Still, Mei could be over-bearing at some points. He would just be wary of her constant interrogations. He noticed that she would interrogate someone, with the sole purpose of seeing how much she could trust them. So, he wasn't one to easily fall into her trap, of wanting to know every single little detail. And his indiference and being hard for her to read, kept catching her by surprise, as well as annoying her. They had a silent battle going on, between them. They would tease the other, Mei with her sarcasm and Yixing with his surpisingly witty replies. However, it wasn't until one of the fights that he once again had to heal her, that they bonded, and a sort of peaceful surrender passed between them. Mei had noticed first, that Yixing was actually very kind and gentle, and not at all a robot. Like some called him. But it really isn't until Yixing starts to probe and get into Mei's nerves, wanting to know more about her. That their relationship begins to build up. Yixing noticed that Mei was actually quite a sensitive, caring softy, under all that tough, sarcastic and arrogant facade. After a battle, with one of the preserves, Yixing has to heal a wound that Mei got in the back. Once, he treated it, he saw the rest of the scars in Mei's back. He asked if this was the pain that she felt on her back, when she had nightmares. Mei had forgotten about the scars and embarrased, tried to lower her shirt, but he didn't let her. This time he kept on asking her questions about what they did to her in the lab. She felt defensive and tried to change the subject by getting angry, still he wouldn't let her leave. He had to treat her fresh wound and still wanted answers. She was one to always ask questions, now it was his turn. It was still hard for her, but as Yixing started opening up about his past, she found the courage to open up and talk about what happened in EX'ACT. This brings them both so much closer than they were. Yixing starts thinking of them as friends. After she opened up with him, she started opening up, little by little, with the others as well. Not like him though. With him, she didn't feel like she had to have a wall up all the time.

Mei being a magical being, and being socially awkward, plus her stating that she would not fall in love with human boys since then she would either have the same fate as her father, having to leave loved ones behind, or mother, being left behind by your loved one. Well, all of that, has made it clear that she would never even have considered liking Yixing. Yixing wasn't as closed off, or analytical about the situation. He just slowly started falling for Mei. He never felt the need to say it, with them being preocupied with EX'ACT, but also never felt the need to hide his feelings for her. He never said much but his actions, and the way he tried to protect her, as well as how he acted when they were together, showed pretty much everyone, except the dense Mei, that he had feelings for her. Mei wasn't as mature, or quick to notice her feelings for Yixing. She would always go to him to talk, ask for advice or simply make small talk. However, she never realized that she grew very fond and attached to him. Even with his serious and frowny face, whenever he would occasionally direct a small smile at her, she felt her own smile widening and turning into a huge grin. Still, she didn't understand what that meant. It wasn't until Seyeon talked with her about what loving someone meant, that Mei finally understood that she was falling in love with Yixing. The knowledge of it, didn't make a difference though. They still acted the same towards each other, knowing that they loved the other, even though they didn't know that the other returned their love. But Mei, just wasn't ready to tell him. There were still so many things to settle before that. Still, in a way they knew they were special to the other. Mei didn't like to be touched, and Yixing wasn't much to do skinship with just anyone as well. However, he did with Mei, and Mei didn't mind when it was Yixing. They even low-key flirt with one another. Still, I doubt that they'll say anything, until they've settled things with EX'ACT and know for certain that they're safe.

When others see Yixing and Mei together, they sort of see Mei becoming flirty and cocky, while Yixing keeps a cool face but can actually smile once in a while. They both tend to fluster the other, Mei with her sometimes flirty, cocky and yet caring attitude and Yixing with his stoic, distant and yet kind actions. They had never thought of this unlikely pair, getting along, even less getting together. But at the same time, they see that both of them act differently and are more caring when they are with each other.

Conclusion:
After they took down all of EX'ACT, Mei wanted to find her mother. Which she did with the help of Yixing, who went after her claiming that he had no home to go back to. After finding and explaining everything to her mother, Mei wanted to travel the world, Yixing decided to go with her. They kept in contact with the others, and visited them. Mei knew that Yixing and her wouldn't really have much time together. Even with his powers, she had 900 left to live, while he had no more than 70 years at most. She finally understood why her father was a "wanderer" and why serpents usually kept to themselves until they were about 900 years old. When they had a child who would be the next descendant of the serpent, then they, at the child's tenth birthday would eventually start to fade as their child grew stronger. She didn't tell Yixing this, for she knew that he lost his mother when he was 10. Still, she wanted to spend as much time with him as she could, but realized that she wanted to have his children. Ten years after the take down of EX'ACT, they settled in Lanzhou, China. Mei got pregnant, and gave birth to a baby girl, with blonde hair and green eyes, in the Huang river.

Once the child turned 10, she had a talk with Yixing about what was going to happen. Yixing argued with her, and hoped to find someway to keep her alive. Still, magic that has been around since ancient times is hard to break. Still, he wanted more time with Mei and was not satisfied or content, as she was. Mei had accepted her fate. She had loved spending her life with Yixing and their daughter, and did not regret her decision. However, Yixing had an idea. He went to look for the djinn and asked her for a wish. He knew she was free, and he had never asked or will ever ask for anything ever again. Therefore, he asked the djinn to turn Mei into a human. They would not have forever, but they would have more time with each other. The djinn smiled softly at the teary eyes Yixing and said, "It has been done." Mei found herself being put in a deep sleep. Her daughter yelling out to her. She then woke up, with her daughter crying beside her. She took her in her arms and asked what was wrong. "Mom. Your hair. It's dark brown." She stood up and went to the mirror. Her eyes were still hazel eyes, but her hair was chocolate brown. She could feel no surge of magic or power inside her. That night Yixing arrived, they saw each other. Talked, and made-up. Her daughter was still the Yellow dragon, but the djinn had made it, that if the dragon meets their loved one, and if they wished to have more time with them, then they would become humans. And so, the legend has changed.

You can call me monster; I'll be your lucky one
