Qian Ming likes bright, colourful things. And as such, she dyes her hair a lot and wears colourful makeup. However, she never looks like a clown: she knows just how to bring it all together such that it looks nice on her. She has quite a bit of piercings, two on her lobe and the other on her helix. Wu Qian Ming likes dressing in a cute, psatel-coloured style. Nearly all her clothes are bright and pastel, none of them are dark coloured. She has a lot of skirts and tights, as well as comfy big sweaters. Other than colour, her other preference for clothing is for them to be comfort: so you will never see her with clothes she doesn't like - and even if the stylists try to force her in clothes that are uncomfortable, she'll whine until they have no choice but ​to just change the outfit.

Qian Ming is super energetic, people always wonder whether she ever runs out of energy. She is very sunny and you can count on her to be the moodmaker of the group as well. She treats everything with the same enthusiasm and she's hyped for everything. She's also very genuine and you can count on her not to lie to people. She can't lie well, and hates lying anyways so sh never does it. Honesty is the best policy, right? She also doesn't hold back on her emotions: she likes showing it and revealing it, not caring about her image. As I said, she's very genuine. She's super caring, almost like a mother. Her fellow members always go to her for advice on scenarios ranging from the weirdest things and most unexpected questions to just ranting to her. She's understanding and dependable. Even though she's very honest, you can trust her to keep your most personal secrets away from others - she knows what's taboo and not. She's super helpful as well and always does her chores and improves steadily, absorbing other people's advice and critiques like a sponge. 

Qian Ming, although she does her positive sides, also as her negative traits. She's a mega worrywort and worries a lot, about the littlest things. It can get quite annoying when she keeps pacing, worrying about "why on Earth is the maknae a minute late from a schedule when she should've arrived a minute ago?" She's also quite a stubborn mule, not budging about her ideals and ideas, even if everyone's against her. It takes a lot for her to just suddenly change opinions and even then, she does it rather begrudgingly. She's very sore-loser-ish about it all, so it'd be better to just not question her. She's also surprisingly short-tempered and gets angered very easily. Her anger is very explosive and loud, and she can get angry at people for just taking her jewelry. And so, everyone must do their best not to make her angry and be on their tip-toes around her. She can be quite naive about other people and has a mindset that everyone is good and nice. She doesn't understand the concept of being used and is very carefree about these type of things, choosing to carry her heart on her sleeve.

background

— how i became me

Qian Ming is quite well off. Being the daughter of the Ceo of China's main bank company, it will grant you a lot of prestige. However, she's not that close to her father, the CEO, and is only close to her mother. Having no other siblings, Qian Ming was always quite lonely in school in China. Soon though, her parents divorced because of her father's job and not being there for the family. And so, her mothermoved them to Korea to start a new life after the divorce was approved and after a hefty sum of money from the father. Qian Ming still occasionally sees her father when he travels to Korea for business trips. It was hard for her to communicate with other schoolmates at first, but being optimistic and energetic, she made friends in no time with her personality alone. It took her quite a while to get the hand of Korean, and even now, she still has not gotten the hang of the language and sometimes speaks in informal language to her manager. 

Qian Ming got into rapping a while after she came to Korea. It had always interested her that people were able to rap so quickly and still stay on beat. Having a friend that was in the underground rapping scene, he taught her all that he knew and calls her "my disciple". She focused on her rapping more than her studies and listened to a lot of k hiphop, just to get inspiration for writing lyrics. However, her feelings about the divorce were still very strong at that moment, so she usually wrote about broken families for lyrics. The rapping really helped her get through the divorce, and the writing as well. It helped her to come to terms with it, and so she has a really deep bond with rapping and writing lyrics. She always goes to it when she's overwhelmingly sad. In Seoul, where her new house in Korea was, there were auditions being held by a woollim entertainment. Deciding to persue her dream to rap on stage, and with approval and support from her friends and mother, she went to the auditio and got in through all stages, eventually becoming a trainee. That moment changed her life forever, and that was the of her life. That was the point where she started believing in happiness again, after the divorce.

He's very sassy and sharp-tongued, and they are still quite close. He still sometimes gives critiques to Qian Ming so that she can improve. However, overall, he is a very good friend to lean on and when Qian Ming is sad or bored, the third person she goes to is Taejung, first being her members and second being her mother. 

"Boyfriend" — Lee Hongbin // 22 // idol // sassy, outgoing, understanding ; selfish, blunt, naive // Hongbin is Qian Ming's so called 'boyfriend'. They're very close due to spending a lot of time with each other, and because of their situation, they depend on each other quite a bit since they cannot speak to others about it. He's always very sarcastic with her, and together they're called the QiBin power couple.

trainee life — Qian Ming's trainee life wasn't that different from her school life, except she worked very hard on improving herself. She made a lot of friends easily due to her bright personality, but she didn't let her friends distract her from her goals: to debut. She worked very hard, always staying up until 2 am to work on her rap and dancing. She was really known for being very diligent and resilient, never giving up even though there were a lot of other trainees. She was always commended for her positive outlook too.

"Qi An of Sarang dating Hongbin of VIXX?" // true // this was done on purpose by woollim and jellyfish - to improve sarang and hongbin's popularity, the two members were asked to date for show. 

"The QiBin couple breaks up?" // true // qian ming had a talk with the CEO of woollim, as she was unable to lie any longer. She didn't like Hongbin, but instead liked Ilhoon and didn't want to fake-date hongbin any longer, despite the fact that they were quite close. The CEO said it was fine to break up already as sarang had garnered up quite the following and after talking about it with the CEO of jellyfish, gave qian ming the okay to "break up" with hongbin in public. 

"Qi An of Sarang is a player?" // false // Qian Ming, after breaking up with Hongbin was seen with Ilhoon, and of course this sparked controversies. It took a while for this to die down, and a few apologies from Qian Ming in public before it was deemed fine by the company for Ilhoon and Qi An to officially date. However, it was while before it was revealed that they were dating to the public.

Ilhoon is a caring and friendly person. He's super social and has a lot of friends in the idol industry, including hongbin in vixx. He's a social butterfly and it's easy to make friends with him, having a really trustworthy personality. He's also very sassy, having a really sharp-tongue. however, this adds to his charm and you can always count on a good laugh when you're around him. He's a clear-headed person and can make good decisions in stressful situations. He's a good person and you can always go to him if you need to talk. 

However, Ilhoon is easily jealous and it's usually met with laughter on Qian Ming's side. He can get angry over the littlest things and it's obvious when he's angry - he starts to act way more snappy, and is especially y to the person causing him jealousy, whether it's someone flirting with Qian Ming or Qian Ming herself. He's also very neat. This may not seem very bad, but to him everything must be neat, nothing can be left behind. He can take a day alone just cleaning the house alone and still be angry because "it's still messy!" He is unbearably loud and is oblivious about it. He cannot control his volume much and people always need to tell him to quieten down. He's very provocative and always makes people who are angry at him, even more angry. No one knows why he does this, but he does.

history — This whole thing and drama started out as a simple way of gaining more of a follower base for Sarang, as well as Hongbin. It was a while after they debuted and Sarang still didn't gain enough attention. As such, the CEO of Jellyfish and Woollim had a deal with each other - they both had things the other needed. So, Qian Ming was brought into the CEO's office where she was told of the plan. Qian Ming never felt good lying- she didn't like lying, it made her feel guilty and by then when she heard the plan, she didn't like the way it settled in her stomach, as if she was predicting something to go awrily wrong. 

So, Hongbin and Qian Ming started going out with no masks, to try and get pictured by the paparazzi. They got along well and all, and they helped each other through the awkward times seeing as they both didn't really like the whole thing, but they didn't have a choice either way. The day after, the news were plastered on every newspaper and kpop site. It didn't take long for Sarang and VIXX to find out either. Originally planning not to tell their members, they were forced to tell the members after all eight of them had cornered them in a room after another date. That was how the members got to know about the situation. 

Hongbin and Qian Ming had only been 'together' for a short while but it seemed that a lot of people already shipped it and they were getting invites to go on shows together. They were known as the QiBin couple and to the public, they looked like they were going strong. However, Qian Ming was conflicted and was getting stressed over it. She had never been a good liar, and having to lie to the whole country (and even other countries) was making her distressed. She had a lot of guilt and nearly gave up on the plan so many times, Hong Bin was barely able to control her himelf. He even had to call s one time since Sarang was on a schedule. Qian Min was having a panic attack from all the guilt and he had no idea what to do - so he called N. However, the person who picked up wasn't Hakyeon, but Ilhoon. BTOB was over in their dorm and Ilhoon had picked up first. "Annyeonghaseyo, Binnie~?" Having no choice and being desperate, he told Ilhoon what happened. After receiving an order from Ilhoon, Hongbin gave the phone to Qian Ming who was barely able to old it stablely in her hands. It had really confused Qian Ming at the time, but afterwards, she realised what Ilhoon had been trying to do by asking her all these weird questions - "What's your favourite food?" "Who's your bias in VIXX?" "Tell me about your family!" - he had been distracting her from the situation, and sooner than later, she found herself breathing normally, with the dry tear marks on her face. 

A few weeks after that incident, Hongbin and Qian Ming were to lazy to and do a very elaborate date and they still had to act like they were dating - they had to be seen at least going out, right? - so Hongbin just brought Qian Ming along to a BTOVIXX outing. It might seem a little bit rude, and Qian Ming felt like a total extra, but the boys were very kind and nice about it. However, at the time, BTOB had no idea that QiBin was just a set up by the two companies, Woollim and Jellyfish, so when Hongbin left Wendy alone for the rest of the day to spend time with his group, it shocked Ilhoon and the rest of the members. Since Qian Ming looked very awkward, Ilhoon spent time with her and they found that they got along brilliantly - like long lost twins, except there was an inkling of something more there. After the outing, Ilhoon and Qian Ming exchanged numbers, earning Qian Ming a wink from Hongbin to which she glared at him, and they began messaging each other daily and growing closer and closer.  

other — After a year of being 'together' as a couple, Qian Ming and Hongbin were steadily growing tired of having to act like they were in love with each other. They were close, but they were never going to fall in love with each other - besides, Qian Ming had another person in mind. Ilhoon had finally confessed to her, but said this: "I'm not going to date you secretly when in the public's eyes the QiBin couple is the best - you don't understand how much it hurts. It hurts, Qianqian. I'm sorry, but you have to choose." And so, Qian Ming had a talk with her CEO and after he discussed it with the CEO of woollim, they gave her and hongbin the okay to break up publically. Qian Ming didn't tell Ilhoon the decision - she decided it would be better if he saw it on the news sites.
