Commentary for Fics

 

Have you ever wished that your favorite fic comes with a commentary from the author? Like a longer author's note with explation to the background of characters as well as insight to the author's POV. What if it includes commentary or recap from readers too?  

 

Or do you have a different idea of what a commentary should include? What would you like to read in a commentary?

Wow Aya, you need to stop reading my mind!
I'm currently editing a "background" chapter for my new Taekook FF because I feel like if I don't set it up now the whole story is gonna turn into damn epic novel, lol!
I'm trying to condense most of the background info into Chapter 2 but it's seriously hurting me--it means I won't be able to stray away from this plot...it's gonna commit me and I'm struggling with that. <commitment issues, lol!>

However, I really like the idea of an end of chapter recap. I think it would give the reader added info that they may have missed along the way and/or be used to set up highlights for the following chapter(s).

Sounds like a pretty useful tool for the writer to connect directly into the reader's brain. :D
