PERSONALITY :　

Alec is very confident with himself. He trusts his abilities, states his opinions, and believes in his capacities to improve and be greater. Alec is usually strong-willed, he doesn't give up easily when things get tough (unless if it was unavoidable). He strives to achieve his goals, but really nothing is quiet as satisfying to him as rising to the challenge of each obstacle in the way to his goal. This is something that might seem out of place for someone like Alec; thank all the gods above he was blessed with patience. Without it, he would have certainly been the most foul tempered person to be around with. As his music teacher always told him, "patience leads to greater things and better outcomes". Tasks that are long aren't so much of a problem to him. They might be annoying, but they certainly won't be troublesome. Lets not say Alec is a bottomless well of patience, even he has his limits. Also, he hardly ever holds a grudge, forgiveness can be almost too easy to achieve. As long as you show you are truly deserving of it, showing guilt and a desire to change, he'll give you a second chance. While it can be tempting to take advantage of this, again keep in mind that even he has his limits.

Alec isn't the type of person to talk and converse freely with other people; you can say he's quiet reticent. He is naturally more quiet and reserved, and he weirdly finds silence to be more comforting than words. Nonetheless, the only times Alec becomes communicative is when he's set up to achieve a goal or if he's relaxed or comfortable or close with the person. Unlike most people who are far more tactful, Alec speaks the way he means it. There's no point in sugarcoating things in his opinion. If you want things done, you had better put it straight out there. While some might find his blunt nature rather refreshing, others might find it displeasing. So when Alec isn't quiet but instead talking, then he'll be very honest and completely straight-forward. Alec will tell you the truth if you want it and he's not afraid to get on your bad side just because you couldn't handle it.

Most people shove back when they get pushed, but Alec is more like run you over with a truck, with a calm look plastered on his face. Alec becomes physically aggressive once his patience is worn out. Talking is something he would rather avoid, more so because actions are spoken louder than words. His anger is very cool and collected, and is, perhaps, a bit too calculative for comfort. Stubborn and determined, once Alec is set on something, let it be a belief there's a good chance you won't ever get him to budge, but it's for your benefit you should be on the same side as him. If he has his sights set on something, it would be hard to shake him off of it. Sometimes all his confidence can go too far, trying to push his vision on others. Alec tends to unconsciously be dominant at times. Also, he is distant from his own emotional expression and sometimes downright scornful of others'. He often tramples others' feelings, inadvertently hurting his friends, especially in emotionally charged situations. So yes, Alec really is poor at handling emotions.

BACKGROUND :　

Born on April 10, 2000 in Portland, Oregon, United States, Alec was brought into the world (his parents had a fascination with English names thus his name being non-Korean). His mother was a pianist for a traveling orchestra group and his father an international sales manager. Alec wasn't spoiled, his parents didn't want him to become too dependent or selfish when he gets older, and so they made him work to get what he wanted. They were good parents and always spent time with him when they got back from their overseas work, despite being so tired. Even though his parents were barely around, he had many other family members constantly surrounded him, so Alec wasn't necessarily lonely when his parents weren't around.

Growing up, Alec got into many things, he had a curiosity about everything and never seizes to surprise his parents with what he wanted to learn or try each month. Although there were only two things he stuck to after trying it once, singing and playing the piano. His music teacher helped him a lot, giving Alec piano and vocal lessons that an 8 year old shouldn't be learning until they're at least in their teen year. He took everything the woman said and stored it in his head. He then slowly began to compose his own short music pieces with the piano. As Alec became older, he started playing his own compositions to the public and competing in contests, winning a few times. Though it wasn't until he paid a visit to his aunt's house and his cousin allowed him to listen to his mp3 player. It had nothing but plain beats. He got more and more engrossed into it after that. His teacher told him that beat composition was nothing more than composing electronically. Then he began to try composing beats on his own. 

Now 12 years old, Alec got the hang of it and is better. He still hasn't revealed any of his beat compositions and remixes to anyone yet; he wants to improve his skills before showing his works to others. Also, his little brother, Rey, was born (with a 12 year difference). Around the time of his 13th birthday, his parents got a divorce, which destroyed and changed Alec. Anyone would suspect it was due to their busy schedule, but no it wasn't that. Alec's mother seemed to be unfaithful and was hiding a lover on the side, which happened to be a good friend of his father's during his college days. Not only hurt by his mother's betrayal to his father but angry as well, since his mother didn't stop seeing that bastard, Alec acted when his mother got custody of him and his brother. This includes getting into fights, messing up his grades, and etc. The sweet and angelic little boy that his mother had known was completely gone, and she couldn't stand for it, so she sent him along with Rey for them to live with their father instead back in Seoul.

In Korea, you could say Alec had gotten better. Well in some ways he did. He improved his grades but his new personality didn't change. It was mainly due to the fact he didn't want anyone to walk all over him and take advantage of his weakness. Thankfully, he also met a friend during middle school, Lee Minjoon, whom the latter grew close to and trusted.

LIKES :

▸ Singing and Composing; reason to why he's attending YPAS. It also helps him to escape from his stress for a moment and he enjoys it.

▸ Dancing; compared to many other SIA students whom dance he might not be good, but he likes to move freely and go with the flow of the song when on stage.

▸ CATS; they are the only thing that he finds adorable. Give him a cat and he'll treat it like a king/queen. 

▸ Sleeping; who doesn't? 

▸ Star Wars; he's a huge fan and he has even made a beat inspired by it.

▸ Energy Drinks; it's literally his source of energy.

▸ Silence; he finds it easing.

▸ Being Alone; he just likes to since it leads to silence.

▸ Smiling; he just don't. Though he does smirk a lot.

▸ Having a small circle of friends; it's more comfortable.

DISLIKES :

▸ Sweet things; cause he just hates it.

▸ Crybabies; those who will cry over absolutely nothing is just the worst.

▸ Cutesy Pop music; he finds it to be extremely annoying.

▸ Those overly aeygo girls; he finds them annoying too.

▸ Mornings; he's more of a night person.

▸ Stupid Puns; what's there to like? It's stupid and meaningless.

▸ Talkative People; he feels exhausted just listening to those over talkative people and he also finds them annoying.

HOBBIES :

HABITS :

▸ Tends to use English words when he's talking.

▸ If he's sitting down somewhere for too long and there's some type of surface near him, he'll start tapping against it which would slowly progress into a beat.

TRIVIA :

▸ He can play the piano well.

▸ His headphones are always around his neck.

▸ He's good at composing beats, but no one knows about them except for Minjoon (and the club members later on).

▸ He composes many beats but never wrote lyrics to any of them since he at it, but he does try to and practices on writing lyrics.

▸ He doesn't think his compositions are good enough for him to be open about it.

▸ His favorite place in YPAS is the rooftop because he could seek peace and silence there.

▸ Is allergic to strawberries.

▸ He has two pet kittens (Grey - Baekdu & White - Miso).

▸ Would prefer female vocals to go with his beats, but he doesn't mind male vocals either.

▸ [Later on this year] Faces a problem where his hands would start shaking and sometimes his voice would too. After going to the hospital, he's told he has a mild Essential Tremor, and he grows depressed and would breakdown from frustration when he's alone because it would sometimes make it hard for him to sing, compose, or do simple things like eating and writing.

▸ The genre he focuses on his compositions are multiple, but he'd NEVER do anything Cute, Rock, or Country. Though he mostly does Pop, EDM, and Hip-Hop.

▸ Father — Son Jeonwoo (40y.) / International Sales Manager / Understanding, Kind, Quiet / 6
Alec's relationship with his father is a quiet one. Both barely say a word to each other and it looks like they don't get along, but it's the opposite. The two are able to understand each other enough with only just a few words and nods. Like him saying 'trouble' stands for Alec to stay out of it and a nod exchange is for 'how are you?' and 'good'. For them they only need a few words.

▸ Mother — Kim Dayeon (39y.) / Pianist in Orchestra / Outgoing, Demanding, Sociable / 2
After the divorce, Alec's relationship with his mother became very strained. The two hardly talk anymore and when they do you could feel the tense and awkward air around them. Usually Alec doesn't have a problem with forgiving people as long as he feels they're sincere, but since he doesn't feel that from his mother cause she's still with the man she cheated on his father with, Alec will never forgive her. Dayeon keeps trying to get close to him but he keeps pushing her away and acts cold towards her.

▸ Little Brother — Son Rey / Son Raesoo (4y.) / Energetic, Athletic, Clingy / 8
You can say Rey is the opposite of Alec. He is the active person in the family. Rey loves playing sports, especially soccer. Alec would spend their "brother bonding time" playing his lil brother's favorite sport at an empty grass field near their house, even though he at it. Rey doesn't like interacting with strangers and will cling to Alec a lot. He basically copies everything Alec does, and is always excited when the latter comes back from school.

▸ Best Friend — Lee Minjoon (16y.) / YPAS Student / Flirtatious, Witty, Stubborn / 9
"You really are a pain in the ." Behold Minjoon also the soon to be known as YPAS's soon to be top playerboy and Alec's first and very close friend. They met at middle school, and are friends for about 3 years now. Minjoon makes it his mission to target every pretty girl in school. Usually Alec doesn't mind Minjoon's flirtatious attitude, he actually finds it amusing seeing him flirt and then laughs his off when his friend gets rejected, slapped, or cussed at most times. The two also like to have bets for fun.

 

TRY TO IGNORE LIST

         

▸ Love Rival? — Song Chihu (16y.) / YPAS Student / Cocky, Confident, Protective / 4
There are two different views in this rivalry; for Chihu sees Alec more as a love rival than anything. Chihu grows envious of Alec whenever Yoojung would confess or take care of the other boy. Yes, he's friend-zoned to the max, which just adds to his resentment and enviousness. While for Alec, you can say he really hates Chihu's guts, overconfidence, and cockiness. In classes, the two barely acknowledge each other's existence, but after that, Chihu would suddenly appear and try to drag Yoojung from Alec, in which he'd miserably fail. Also, Chihu would lose his temper whenever Alec would treat the girl harshly, the two almost getting into fights all the time. Though the two will later on learn about each other and find a mutual understanding.

▸ Annoying "Leader" — Lee Jisung (17y.) / Loud, Illogical, Irresponsible / 5
To Alec, Jisung just screams annoying. He's like the true meaning of annoying. LITERALLY AN ANNOYING MESS. Everytime the older would tell stupid puns, Alec can't help but cringe. Also the younger would wish he had some earplugs when Jisung would be loud. Though he would find himself engrossed in conversation with him when talking about Star Wars (maybe the only common thing they share). Later on, he'll even try showing Jisung how to compose. But he'll NEVER be used to his stupid puns. EVER.

▸ Annoying Guys Buddy — The Frontrunner / 7
Alec doesn't find him that bad (unless he's really talkative). Or at least he's bearable considered to Jisung. He would've gotten along fine with the boy if he weren't close to and always hanging out with the bothersome goldfish Jisung.

▸ Bunch Of Losers — The Teen Spirit Members / Before - 4 & Later - 9
At first, Alec thought of them as a bunch of annoying losers, and would only attend it to avoid Minjoon nagging him that he lost the bet and has to go. So when he's there, expect him to wear earphones and avoid talking to them (not like he doesn't always do that). Though as time passes by and Alec grows used to the Teen Spirit members especially Jisung, he starts to slowly open up to them and from there their friendship begins.

▸ I didn't even know about it until Minjoon mentioned it.

why did you join ?

▸ I lost a bet... with the bastard Minjoon.

(So Minjoon made a bet with Alec and whoever loses would have to join the club, and Minjoon knew the latter woud lose. Alec thought his friend chose this punishment just for fun, but really Minjoon was secretly hoping that Alec joining the club might help him realize his capabilities in composing and be open about it.)
