english seoyul manage to learn english because it's a mandatory subject in her school since she was in elementary school, and her's english skill is conversational at best, and she keeps working in improving her english skill because she knows she would need it if she succeeds to enter gymnastic international competition.

seoyul often receives praises from her parents' colleagues that she is beautiful, and she is indeed is. with her fair skin, and beautiful face with rosy cheeks, thin lips, a pair of hazel eyes, and pointy nose. her eyes are warm, lips often found curved upwards because of the fact that she is often smile than not.

unlike most of gymnasts who is more to the shorter side, seoyul belongs to the taller side of gymnasts. when shorter gymnasts are better at strength, seoyul is better at grace and the beauty of her skills; the elegantness of gymnastic. her legs are toned and long, and her stomach is toned too, all because of the exercises she has done.

OTHER — due to her constant running, flipping, tumbling, jumping and the other exercises she has done as a gymnast, seoyul could seen with many bruises almost everyday. all of the bruises are mainly located on arms and legs, as well as her back and abdomen.

inside school when it comes to the school uniforms, seoyul always wear the uniform properly, despite the fact that she think the school uniform is very ugly. at the days where there are bruises on her legs and she doesn't want people to look at it, she would wear leggings alongside the skirt. she never wear any accessories, and she let her hair down most of the time, and styles it up into bun or ponytail sometimes.

outside school seoyul mostly spend her time in the gym, practicing gymnastic when she was no longer in school, and she would always seen with her leotards at practice. outside of the gym, due to her bruises on legs and arms, she prefers to wear long-sleeved shirts or jackets, sweaters, hoodies, etc. and long-sleeved pants or jeans. her favorite fashion items would be jeans, leggings, and long cardigans, as she has tons of them inside her closet.

ELABORATION —

the first thing about seoyul is the fact that she loves to engage in social activities; she loves to meet new people and befriend them, she is someone who never hesitate to approach someone first and strike up a conversation with them. it might be because she is indeed really sociable, or it might also be because she is very confident, or both. as an athlete who talent has been recognized by the whole school and the whole club she is in, seoyul has many confident inside her. she believes in herself and her capability, and never shows any sign of insecurity. she is also someone who always works hard in the field she has interest in, especially gymnastic. she puts a lot of energy and commitment when she works, all because she wants to achieve her goals. seoyul is not someone who would stick to her comfortable zone; but someone who would be all out because she just loves it, to take risks of new methods, ideas, or experience. she is open to any challenge, especially the ones she never tried before.

seoyul, as an athlete, always wants everything she does to be perfect. she wants her run to be perfect, she wants her jump to be perfect, she wants everything, to be perfect. she always set her goals high, and would do anything to achieve her goals, and would never stop until she achieve those. and when she said anything, she really means anything. even when she has to do something bad, she would do it, as long as she could achieve her goals. on top of that, she is also someone who is competitive, always wants to be more successful than others, always wants to win and doesn't like to lose. when someone do better than her, she would get worked up and would only work harder to achieve more, to be better than that someone, all because of her desire to win, to be the top one. despite being very confident and believes in herself, there are times where seoyul would critics herself for the mistakes she has done, or for something lacking in her technique. she does it all because she is aware of those mistakes, but sometimes it could bring seoyul's confidence down. seoyul is lucky though, because she could regain her confidence back easily once she heard compliments from someone.

seoyul is confident, and that's good. but what isn't good is when she starts to boast about herself in front of other people, when she starts to tell her achievements to those who wants to listen in overly confident manner. she loves to boast to people about how talented she is, about how many medals she had, and so on. she does it all because she loves to hear compliments, and she loves it when people said that she is indeed talented. as mentioned before, seoyul is someone who is open to take risks and to try new things she never tried before. and when people around her told her that the risks are too huge and it seems dangerous, seoyul would never listen and continue to do things in her own way. she would only stop when people start to bring up about her status as an athlete, and that she doesn't need any more injuries other than the one caused by gymnastic. if people brings that up, seoyul would listen and stop, but it would never stop her from trying new things again the next time. she is also someone who sticks on her opinion and never want to hear about anyone else opinion, unless those opinions are about gymnastic then well, she would try to hear them out. as a competitive person who wants to be on the top so badly, seoyul is someone who only thinks about herself, about her well doings, about her wants, about her needs, and never about anyone else. she would be satisfied when her needs are fulfilled, but would never bother about someone else needs. she is someone who would never mind to play dirty or to cause pain or suffer to anyone else, all because she only care about her needs and wants.

BACKGROUND + FAMILY LIFE —

min seoyul was born on a rainy day, as the second child and the first daughter of the pair min hongjae and song sojin. hongjae is the executive director of min group, a company specializes in many aspect, such as technology, economy, etc. they even have their own mall, and it's quiet famous despite not being the biggest mall in south korea. while hongjae is the executive director (he is later promoted to be the ceo once his father, alias seoyul's grandfather, step down from his position as the ceo), sojin is a famous designer and her clothing line, or her shop, could be found in many places in south korea and japan, mainly in their malls. seoyul has one older brother with the name of min hansol, but they're not really close. it's not that they hate each other, it's just that they rarely see each other, because hansol is often out than at home, too busy to prepare himself to be a ceo in the future, all because of his status as the heir of min group. she wants to get close with her brother, she really does, but her brother rarely home and rarely reply to her text messages because he is too busy. while seoyul's relationship with her brother is not that close, her relationship with her parents is not better. her father is too busy with his job, often spend nights inside his office doing god knows what, while her mother is too busy inside her work room, try to find new ideas for her design. their relationship is not the best family relationship out there, but seoyul doesn't hate her parents at all. yes they're busy and she rarely gets their attention and love because of that, but she understand that her parents are busy to gain money so they could fulfill their family needs. but because she is not close with any of her family members, she seek for love and attention from other people, for the example is from friends.

seoyul is definitely raised with many luxurious things around her, and she always get everything she wants from her parents. when she was four years old, her mother gets an invitation to a gymnastic competition by her client, and thus she takes seoyul along with her. when seoyul saw how all those girls jump and tumbling and flipping like it isn't a hard thing for them, seoyul is amazed. she wants to be like them. she wants to be able to do those things, just like them. and that's why when they're in their ride home, seoyul immediately ask her mother to enroll her in a gymnastic club, so she could do all those amazing things just like the girls she saw before in the competition. seoyul's mother doesn't agree at first, all because she sees gymnastic as something dangerous, and despite the fact that she rarely spend time with her daughter due to her busy schedules, she still love her daughter so much and doesn't want her to be involved in such dangerous sport. but because seoyul is used to get everything she wants, she screams and cry, and she only stop when her mother told her that okay, i would enroll you to a gymnastic club but you have to promise me that you would take care of yourself. and that's the start of seoyul's journey in gymnastic, when her mother enroll her to the most famous and the top gymnastic club in seoul when she was four years old.

RELATIONSHIPS —

the bestfriend of the boy she hates oh haeyoung (16) - freshman - caring, intelligent, callous - seoyul first know haeyoung because she is jooheon's bestfriend, and even though seoyul is the one who never hesitate to befriend someone first, she is quiet hesitant to approach haeyoung because she is afraid that haeyoung is just jooheon 2.0. haeyoung at the other hand, knows that seoyul is one of those many people who hates jooheon, so she never bother to really get close to her. when both of them get into the cheer squad, both seoyul and haeyoung knows they have to at least be able to have civil relationship with each other, that's why everytime they meet, they would smile and greet each other, and try not to fight when there are difference of opinion in their cheer squad meeting. seoyul actually sees the potential to get close to haeyoung, but she knows if she wants to get closer to haeyoung, she has to get rid of the hate feelings she has for jooheon because haeyoung and jooheon are almost always together, and seoyul knows she could never completely get rid her hate feelings towards jooheon.

bestfriend slash neighbour seo hyunwoo (19) - senior - kind, gentle, quiet - hyunwoo and seoyul has know each other since they were kid, both of them being neighbour. hyunwoo is the closest in age to seoyul between all other people in the neighbourhood, so seoyul automatically try to get close to hyunwoo since the time she knows how to befriend someone. hyunwoo is a kind and gentle one, so the start of their friendship went smooth. both of them share a really close relationship, seoyul being hyunwoo's closest person and vice versa. hyunwoo, despite being reserved sometimes, always make sure to tell seoyul about every important things that happen in his life, while seoyul would always make sure that hyunwoo would be the first one to know about every little things happen in her life. hyunwoo is someone who couldn't refuse it when seoyul's ask something from him, and always try to grant her wishes when he could. hyunwoo is someone who easily worried about seoyul, especially with her gymnastic practice, and would always send her a message every once an hour, all just to remind seoyul to eat, to take care of her health, not to overwork herself, or just some random things pops up in his mind. for seoyul, hyunwoo is the one she loves the most, and he is the only one she cared about when it comes to feelings. hyunwoo is also the one that opinions matter to seoyul, and when hyunwoo told her not to do something or to avoid something, seoyul would agree on it and wouldn't do it immediately, just because hyunwoo told her not to (that's why when she wants to do something exciting alias dangerous or new, she would never invite hyunwoo).

stranger that she rather not associate herself with shin hoseok (19) - senior - loyal, reserved, arrogant - seoyul knows hoseok because he sometimes share classes with hyunwoo, and because she often saw him skateboarding down the halls (seoyul secretly wants to try skateboarding down the halls too, that's why she often pay attention when hoseok does that). seoyul knows about hoseok's reputation as an arrogant person, and also the list of his wrong doings like graffiting the back walls of the school, and that's why seoyul never really try to befriend hoseok, because of his bad reputation, and it also seems that hoseok prefers to be alone that to be approached by a kid he never talk to before. when both of them becomes the victim of jooheon's prank and have to be the member of cheer squad, seoyul sees how mad hoseok is at the situation he is in, and seoyul prefers not to try to befriend someone who is ready to lash out at everything in front of him. but despite the fact that hoseok is scary and seoyul rather not associate herself with him for now, seoyul knows that one day, she has to befriend hoseok.

classmate and same club friends lee minhyuk (18) - junior - quiet, coldhearted, selfish - seoyul and minhyuk share some classes together, and both of them are in the school's newspaper team. while seoyul writes the articles, minhyuk is the one who would edit it. that's why seoyul and minhyuk would often seen together, because they would discuss about the articles for the next edition of the school newspaper. because they often spend time together, seoyul get to know that minhyuk is nothing like his cousin, and she doesn't hesitate to try to befriend him because of it. she often greets minhyuk whenever they meet in the class, or at the hallway, but minhyuk would never reply and just nod at her. seoyul never give up though, and she swears she would always greets minhyuk whenever she sees him until minhyuk would reply back and take her offer to be friends. which would be a very very long process. seoyul is quiet ecstatic when she found out that minhyuk is in cheer squad too, and she actually enjoys the fact that minhyuk seems to hate jooheon just like kihyun and her, or maybe even more.

close friends due to hating on the same person yoo kihyun (18) - junior - vengeful, lovable, intelligent - kihyun and seoyul become close friends when one day, both of them found out that they hate the same person with the name of lee jooheon. kihyun, as jooheon's number one target, often tell seoyul about all the things jooheon has did to him, and seoyul would get annoyed on his behalf, and she would say that she is totally in kihyun's side. seoyul also often witness it when jooheon starts to try to do things to kihyun, and she would ruin jooheon's plan by slap him, punch him, kick him, or another form that would make jooheon go away and cancel his plan to do things to kihyun. kihyun feels very thankful to seoyul because of this, and thus seoyul gain a loyal friend who would stick to her even when her sad, bad moments.

the flower boy she is slightly crushing on chae hyungwon (18) - junior - insecure, charming, uncertain - hyungwon is known throughout the school because of his 'flower boy' status, and hyungwon is indeed handsome, even seoyul admit it. she even tell hyunwoo that she has slight crush on hyungwon, despite the fact that they never really talk to each other. seoyul sometimes approach hyungwon, try to strike up a conversation with him, and hyungwon is actually decent. when she found out that hyungwon is also included in the cheer squad, she can't be more happy, because at least there is an eye-candy in the group, and also because she get the opportunity to get closer to hyungwon.

the boy she hates the most lee jooheon (17) - sophomore - attention-seeker, prankster, funny - the hate she has for jooheon start when jooheon was a freshman and seoyul was a sophomore. jooheon decide to pull off one of his prank on random person, and that random person happens to be seoyul. long story short, at the day of prank, seoyul went home drenched, clothes well all over, and it's all because of lee jooheon. since that day, seoyul hates jooheon very much and swear she would never want to be friends with that guy. when seoyul knows that the explosion in the gym is caused by jooheon and she is one of the victims, she gets very mad to the point that she almost slap jooheon hard, not once but as many as she wants, if only hyunwoo doesn't stop her. jooheon is one of the reason why seoyul doesn't want to cooperate with the cheer squad, and tries to bail out from practice. she just hates being in the same room with jooheon.

the new kid she doesn't know im changkyun (16) - freshman - awkward, shy, calm - seoyul doesn't know changkyun at first, because she never sees him before, but then seoyul pity him because of the fact that he becomes one of the victims of lee jooheon's prank. when seoyul approach changkyun and try to befriend him, seoyul sees the happiness on his face, and since that day changkyun and seoyul often spend time together, so they could get to know each other more and befriends.

TRIVIA —

• seoyul's attend her gymnastic practice every friday, saturday, and sunday, but it could be everyday when it's just two months before a competition.
• seoyul's weight is more to the thin side, even slightly underweight, all because of the training and workout, and also the fact that sometimes she would forget to eat and only live by protein bars and not actual food like rice.
• other than gymnastic, she also loves to write and read. that's why she always spend her free time writing in her journal or read books, if not sleeping.
• despite her gymnastic schedules, she can't help but join the school's magazine team because she really wants to write articles there. she is lucky because the head writer is kind and she could send the already written articles through email when she is busy and can't go to school. the writer also gives her one or two days more from the actual deadline if she is too busy to finish it before deadline.
• has stocks of adhesive bandage, all because of the bruises on her body. she usually use it when she wears short-sleeve clothes, or when it's the competition day and she has to wear leotards but there are many bruises on her body.
• other than bruises, she also has experience other injuries due to her gymnastic practice such as sprained ankles, and fractured legs.
• loves dream catcher and has three of them inside her room, and one at the door of her bedroom.
• the type who prefers to read books than to watch movies.

• it has been two years since she is allowed to take part in gymnastic competition, and she already won two bronze medal and one silver, but never gold before. that's why her top goals right now is to get gold medal.

• she sometimes watch kdramas out of boredom (which is rarely), and she often ask hyunwoo to accompany her to watch kdramas because she needs friend to handle the cheesy-ness of kdramas.
• because seoyul and hyunwoo are really close, seoyul often call hyunwoo without 'oppa' despite the fact that hyunwoo is one year older. seoyul would only call hyunwoo 'oppa' when she wants something from him or when she is in her cute mode (which is rare).
• this is the leotard she use for competition, and this is the one she use when practice.
• allergic to dog fur and onions. that's why she always run away at the sight of dog and she always avoid foods with onions in it.
• is not scared of horror movies and think that most horror movies are lame.
• at school, she mostly stick to hyunwoo or kihyun, but when they aren't available, she would approach a group of girls from her class, and try to blend in with them. seoyul is a pro in blending in, really.

SO, WHAT YOU'RE SAYING, IS THAT YOU HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE EXPLOSION IN THE GYM? IF THAT'S TRUE, WHY WERE YOU THERE? — "i'm there to meet hyunwoo. he just finish his basketball practice and i've waited for him for hours, all because we promise to each other that we would go home together that day. i swear i'm only there for hyunwoo, and not for whatever happens at the gym." seoyul sigh as she stares at her red stained clothes, and she grimaces when she sees that there is a red stain too at the tip of her hair. "it wasn't me who pulls the prank, i swear. if it's me, i wouldn't be so stupid to let myself get the damage of this stupid prank."

WELL SUBSTANTIAL PROOF HAS BEEN GIVEN THAT THE FOURTEEN OF YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE PRANK. WHY DO YOU FIND THIS UNFAIR? — "miss junghwa, it's unfair because as i told you, for hundred times already, that i'm not the one who does this prank. it's not hyunwoo too, both of us are happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. but i know that you don't believe me, and it ." seoyul stares at the principal with an annoyed look, but quickly change it into small smile when she remembers that this is the principal she is talking to, no matter how annoying she is. "i'm sorry, but this situation is just so unfair."

AND YOU BELIEVE THAT THE CHEER SQUAD PUNISHMENT IS TOO MUCH? — seoyul straighten her position on the chair as she heard the question, the question she have been waiting for because she can't wait to say her honest opinion about the punishment. "of course it's too much! look, i have gymnastic practice every weekend for three days and four hours in each day, and i'm already dead tired because of it. and the cheer squad on top of that? it's too much, miss. i actually don't mind to try this cheer squad thing because i've never try it before, but i can't imagine how tired i would be if i should attend both the gymnastic and cheer practice on the same day."

DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO GET ALONG WITH YOUR MEMBERS? — seoyul shrug her shoulder upon hearing the question. "i think i'll be able to get along with most of them, but there are also people i don't think i'll get along with, like minhyuk for example, because he is too quiet. but i would try and befriend all of them. team work makes the dream work, right?" seoyul smile a sarcastic smile after she finish her answer.

AND I'VE BEEN HEARING FROM A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT THEY HATE MISTER LEE JOOHEON. DO YOU AS WELL? AND WHY OR WHY NOT? — "lee jooheon?" when seoyul heard jooheon's name being mentioned, her facial expression turned into a darker one, and from the single glance at her face, anyone would know that she hates jooheon. "of course i hate him! who wasn't? i'm not hating him because of some stupid excuse, but it's all because he is an attention-seeker, someone who pranks and bullies people just because he wants to! just because he wants attention! jooheon has done prank on me once in sophomore year, and i regret it that i don't slap him hard on his face. i swear if he ever dare to lay his hand on me again, i would slap him hard. he deserve to be hated, and to be honest, lee jooheon is the thing that i hate the most from this cheer squad thing."

GPA — 2.8 (seoyul used to has the gpa of 3.7 when she was a freshman, but then she got busy with gymnastic and she missed so many classes when the competition is around the corner, thus the drop in her gpa)

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES — is a part of a top gymnastic club in seoul, and also a member of the school's newspaper team as the one who writes the articles.

REASONS THEY GOT THE POSITION — it's the time to assign the position for all fourteen students involved, and when seoyul enter the gym, everyone else, including seoyul herself, rightaway know what position she would get. min seoyul would be the flyer; all because she is famous around the school as the school's gymnast. she is athletic and flexible. she could also becomes a tumbler because she can does all those tumbling, but the flyer position is what fits her the best, according to the other thirteen.

PERSONALITY —

something that stood out the most from hyunwoo is his kindness, and the way he always cares about other people around him, even strangers. he is also calm and collected, always has it easy to control his emotions so he could avoid crying or lashing out at public. when it comes to his feelings and thoughts, hyunwoo is someone who has hard time expressing it, and often choose to just bury it deeply inside his heart, as he decide to endure all his problems alone. hyunwoo is also someone who prefers to be quiet than to talk, because most of his friends are the one who do the talk, and he would just be the good listener he is.

hyunwoo is someone who lives by rules and always follow his father words. he does everything his father wants him to do, he always follow every words of him. that's why hyunwoo never really feel free for all his life, and he never really feel truly happy.

LOVE STORY —

hyunwoo and seoyul's story start when hyunwoo was five and seoyul was four. their house are next to each other, and seoyul happens to meet hyunwoo when he is playing at the small park in front of their house. seoyul is the one who approach hyunwoo first, as she offer friendship to him. she talks excitedly, on how she really wants to have friends in this neighbourhood, other than her friends in the gymnastic club and kindergarten. hyunwoo, as a kind soul he is, accept seoyul's offer and just like that, they become friends. they always play with each other everyday, from simply playing with their toys to hide and seek. they literally grows up together, as they spend their days together. they never got bored with each other, is happy with the companion of the other, and too focused on their own, little world to the point that suddenly, they are already high school students.

seoyul and hyunwoo always went to the same school, and they often went to school together, and go home together too. because of hyunwoo is one year older than seoyul, they doesn't share any class together and would only meet up in lunch break and after school. even after years of being bestfriends, both of them are still close as ever and seoyul still clings to hyunwoo like her four year old self. for those who doesn't know them well, they would think that both of them are couple because of how close they are and how they are very comfortable with skinships, but they are not. they are just a pair of bestfriends that is so close and so comfortable with each other.

there are nothing big happens in highschool, they still as close as ever, but then this cheer squad thing happens, and both of hyunwoo and seoyul are involved in this, when actually they have nothing to do with the prank. seoyul is mad, and she wants to protest or just bail out from the cheer squad without thinking about the risks, but hyunwoo is the one who manage to make her stay, all because he said it's his chance to finally does something that he himself wants to do, not what his father wants him to do. seoyul, who knows about how hyunwoo suffered because of his father all this time, could only sigh and stay, all for the sake of hyunwoo.

when both of them officially become the member of the cheer squad, seoyul is the one who always try to cheer hyunwoo up from the guilt he is feeling because of going against his father. she is the one who always try to tell that it's okay, that everything would be okay, and hyunwoo doesn't need to worry. in cheer practice, hyunwoo and seoyul could be seen beside each other most of the time, and after practice or in between the break, seoyul would be the one who immediately wipe hyunwoo's sweat, or she would just lay her head down on top of hyunwoo's lap due to the exhaustion from practice. hyunwoo also sometimes would message seoyul's legs when she asks for it, and because of those sweet things they do to each other, the other members of the cheer squad called them as the couple of the squad, despite their status as bestfriends only.

due to their nickname as the couple of the squad, hyunwoo begins to think about what if he and seoyul really become a couple. at his first time thinking about it, he almost slap himself because he thought it's inappropriate, dating your own bestfriend that you grow up with. but then he found himself thinking about it more often than he should, and when he realize that there's something change in his feelings towards seoyul, it's too late to back out. he suddenly feels very happy when he is with seoyul, not like he is not happy before (because hyunwoo is only happy when he is with seoyul), and he also found himself feeling jealous, something he never felt towards seoyul before. hyunwoo used to not care about the guy seoyul is crushing on or she is dating with, as long as that guy is nice and treat seoyul kindly, but then suddenly, he feels the jealousy inside him whenever seoyul starts to talk about hyungwon with him, or when she gets too close with the other boys in the squad. hyunwoo is a pro in hiding his inner feelings and thoughts, though, so no one ever suspect his feelings towards seoyul.
