BIOGRAPHY
I / LEE HOUSEHOLD since he was a child, daehan doesn't really have a father figure he could take examples from, a father figure he could idealize on, all because of the fact that his father is rarely home, often outside than not. his mother used to say that he is working for the sake of the family, but as he grew up, daehan realize that's not the case. his father is rarely at home simply because he doesn't care about the family, and that he would rather spent his time from bar to bar, buying cheap drinks until he can't remember his own name. with his mother working so hard to be able to provide foods on the table, to buy their necessities, it's safe to say that daehan isn't really close with his mother either. daehan envied those around his age who live happily with their parents, he becomes frustated because he also wants to have a normal family like most people around him does, and the pent up frustation inside him resulted on his rather harsh attitude. daehan spent most of his childhood with his siblings, thus he becomes very fond of them. and also with seo junmin, a tall kid he met in kindergarten days, the days where it was a lot easier and simpler for him.
when his mom told all of her children about the divorce, daehan wasn't surprised at all. he had seen it coming, and he even feels glad. at least his younger sibling don't have to see how hopeless their father is anymore, and the load on his mother's shoulder had been lighten for a bit, as there's no one who would spent so much money carelessly again on alcohol. his siblings cope with the divorcement differently, that's for sure, but daehan always make sure that he would always be there for them. they had gone through the same thing together, afterall.
II / THE PRESENT daehan is now a freshman in university, majoring in architecture as a scholarship student. he is still in the same university as junmin despite being in different major (junmin is an international relations student), and they decide to live together as a roommate in the school's dormitory, but he has moved out from the dorm, due to the news of his entire family moving in to the kim's house. he still visit junmin more often than not, especially with the fact that he can't stand the kims. he also work part-time as a cashier in a small cafe near his university, every week days from 4pm to 9pm.

04 doesn't respond really well to affection and feelings, skinships as well. he always froze like a rock whenever someone do skinships to him, even though it's one of his siblings or junmin.

06 other than being famous for his personality, he is also famous for his foul mouth. he never really hold himself back, but when his younger siblings are around, he would try not to use any profanities. often got hit by junmin or his older sibling tho because he mostly ends up failing at holding back himself.
07 doesn't exactly look like someone who would study hard at school, but he actually study like crazy in his highschool days. it's mostly because he wants to get a scholarship for college, so he wouldn't need to burden his mother with his college tuition.
08 whenever he has free time, you could found him on a bed most of the time; sleeping, something he is lacking of these days because of the assignments he got as an architecture student.
09 hates outdoor activities and sports, and he isn't good at any on top of that. being good in fights is already a good sport for him, he said.

11 is basically a fool for his family and junmin, as in he would do anything, as in anything for them readily without any doubt.
12 never had any contact with his father after the divorce happen, and he never address him with father or dad either. he always use 'mom's ex-husband'.

14 becomes addicted to coffee, especially the most bitter one, due to the fact that it helps him a lot to pull all-nighters.

- junmin and daehan's friendship is seen as weird in the eyes of few, mainly because they are very different, the exact opposite of each other, yet they get along so well, yet they stuck to each other like a glue. they are friends since kindergarten, and never separated ever since, always went to the same school, even university. junmin has many other friends beside daehan, but in the end of the day, he would always comeback to his one and only bestfriend; lee daehan. on the other hand, daehan only ever accept junmin's companion, and never bother to befriend anyone else, never bother to develop another friendship and just maintain a some kind of civil relationship with the others.
junmin is the one who understand daehan really well, even more than daehan himself, as he could know what his bestfriend is thinking or feeling just by a simple look to daehan's eyes. junmin knows how to handle daehan perfectly, when to approach him and when to leave him alone. junmin is daehan's secret keeper, the only one who had the privilege to know about daehan's secrets and problems, and the only one daehan would accept help from. laughs and smiles are such a rare occurence to daehan, but it's an exception when he is with junmin (and his family, sometimes). smile would always be plastered on his face whenever he is with the latter, and junmin always manage to make him laugh.
while to junmin, daehan is the one friend he could always count on. despite not being very expressive, daehan would always be there for his bestfriend, always ready to help, ready to do anything for the sake of junmin. he might not be the perfect friend for deep talks, but he would always listen, because in junmin case, he only needs someone to listen whenever he face problems. daehan is not a perfect friend, but he is willing to try to be one for junmin, because junmin means a lot to him.
junmin could even drag daehan to a party, something daehan really hates because it means there would be many people, as daehan is such a er for him, but he has to be prepared for a very long rant afterward.

"you think?" daehan leans back on his chair, hands crossed on his chest. there's an expression of annoyance on his face, as he makes it as clear as day that he feels irritated because of this unnecessary and useless, courtesy to himself, interview. "lee daehan, go and solve it by yourself."

"marriage is such a complex matter, isn't it? my mother had failed her marriage once, and i know it's not her fault, but i still remember the pain and sorrow in her eyes. it's not a nice sight to behold." daehan let out a sigh, a bitter smile on his face. "my mom isn't exactly the figure i'm closest to, but i'm thankful for her hardwork to provide foods and clothes for her children, for me and my siblings. i don't want her to experience the same heartache again, if this marriage ended up the same. and how if his new husband is mean to my siblings? only wants my mom but doesn't want us?"
"well, people are different, i know." daehan said after seconds of silence, like he is aware that his reasoning doesn't exactly make sense. "this yonghwa might be 180 degrees different from mom's ex-husband, and he is rich on top of that. yeah, rich." daehan let out a cynical laugh, his eyes hard and distant. "rich people tend to look down on those lower than them, aren't they? i wonder why did yonghwa want to marry my mom, when he could easily found other girls on his level, another richass he could marry and build their own kingdom together. i don't mean to put down my mom, definitely not, but it's just weird. and love, you said?" daehan shook his head, stared at the interviewer with a disbelief on his face, a scowl make way on his face. he had stopped believing in love since long time ago. "my mom and her ex-husband got married because they love each other. and you see how they end up?"
"and i don't want my siblings to went under the same experience again. it's such a hurtful memories, something i, we want to forget, pretend like all of those didn't happen." daehan's hands, who are now beside his body, clenched into a fist. he remembers all of the hard times he and his siblings experience together, the hurt of seeing his parents falling apart, the envious feeling inside them whenever they see happy and normal family around. "this yonghwa guy had been treating us like his own kids, trying so hard to blend well with us, trying so hard to make us accept him as one of our family. since day one, i already let him know that i would never accept him. and he has four kids." daehan's hands are now loosened, but there's a clear dislike, disgust? when he brought up the topic of the kims children. "just kiss the wedding goodbye."

"and soon-to-be siblings my . i only have three siblings and that's it. i do not wish to have someone who doesn't know how to be grateful and could only waste money on unnecessary things as a sibling. those four spoiled brats could rot in hell." daehan could imagine his mom scolding him due to his foul mouth, but doesn't care. since the day his mom told him that she going to marry a rich man with four kids, daehan couldn't shake the thought out of his head. it's nice to be able to let out his frustation, even only for a bit.

"destroy the engagement. right, of course i'm going to destroy it. mom deserves better than a richass as a husband." daehan's lips formed into a smirk, something that junmin called as 'the smirk of doom', because it always means something bad. most of the time, daehan would ended up in a fight whenever he smirked like that. "yonghwa wouldn't want a delinquent as a kid, right? he wouldn't want someone who he can't control, someone who could ruin his peaceful life, as a kid, i'm sure of it. i have to sacrifice myself, but well, for the sake of future days."
