Hey there guys! So I've been following and applying to a lot of applyfics lately. I don't why why, but I actually really like applyfics. Lately, I've been wanting to start an applyfic myself because I feel that it would be a good writing challenge and experiment for me. But, I'm not sure what would make a good applyfic or really how to go about it. I have a couple of ideas, but I'm not sure which way to go.

Idea #1: The classic idol group applyfic. I'd probably want to do a girl group because it seems like those get the most interest from people. I'd probably want 5 girls in the girl group for the applyfic and, by having one character myself, would only leave 4 available spots. I have an idea for ALICE, which would be based on card suits + the joker. And maybe the characters could also be based off of Alice in Wonderland characters

Idea #2: A high school fanfiction with cliques and drama and maybe an affair with a teacher? Ohonhonhon. I'm not sure how I'd gather all of the appliers together. I applied to an applyfic in which they were all part of an after school help group. Maybe I could do something similar like detention or maybe a group project or a house party. For the group project, there would be less accepted characters than for detention or party.

Idea #3: This would be an AU where contracts for everything a mandatory. It would be for friendships, relationships, marriage, business connections, family contracts, child contracts etc. I haven't quite figured out all of the logistics for this one yet, but in the near future.

Idea #4: Something like the Bachelor or the Bachelorette. I would make the one male/female character and all the appliers would be contestants on this show. If the couple ends up together, they would go on a round the world tour, but if the bachelor was rejected the woman would earn like $10 000 or something. And the bachelor wouldn't be the only romantic interest; other contestants, people working on the show, staff who work in the house etc. I feel like this would be interesting, but I'm not sure it would wotk the best as an applyfic.

Idea #5: A murder mystery or something like that. I've always wanted to do something darker, angstier and more mysterious. I feel like this, combined with an applyfic, would be a large undertaking for me and a real challenge. If you guys have anymore ideas for this vague concept, just let me know. I would create the murder victim and I would need to plan everything out in advance. The applicants could be like Mystery Inc. and attempy to solve the murder. I could also kill off applicants until the commenters figure out who the murderer is. I think I would want this one to be more interactive.

So here are a couple of ideas I have for some applyfics. If anybody reading this is well versed in applyfics, please give me some advice. I'm potentially looking for a co-author or at the very least a mentor for my future applyfic. Also, if anybody knows of some good layouts for applyfics please let me know.
