style » Minyoung's fashion is all over the place, but the one common thing is that it's always eye catching. She'll be wearing bold colours (x)(x) and/or patterns (x)(x) basically everyday. Minyoung is the quintessential middle child; cooperative yet resentful, social yet attention seeking, empathetic yet manipulative. Everything comes with the good and the bad.

She is very passionate about the things she does and throws her all into those passions. However if Minyoung is disinterested in what she's supposed to do, she won't try very hard at all. Minyoung is the kind of person where, if she's not good at it, she'll drop it. Luckily for her though, she has a decent amount of skill in a lot of things. The things that she does well and is passionate about, she's very confident in. Evenif she's not skilled in it, Minyoung portrays false confident. Fake it till you make it. This confidence though can be too much for people and it often straddles the borderline of arrogance. People can think she's empty headed when she's confident about things that she shouldn't be. 

In Minyoung's mind, she has a very set idea of what situations should be like and how they should turn out. She's willing to work hard for those ideals and if it doesn't go her way, Minyoung's not a very happy camper. Minyoung is good at negotiating and talking with people as it's easy for her to empathise with others. It's easy for her to pin point other people's weaknesses. Minyoung can be quite underhanded and manipulative in order to achieve her desired end result. She's very self-righteous, believing that she's almost always right, which is how she justifies manipulating other people. It's not like she wants things to go badly, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Minyoung also gets easily jealous. As a middle child, she was used to not having the attention placed on her. This lead her to resent other people who get attention that, in her mind, don't deserve it. This is the main reason Minyoung seeks attention, but it's not the only one. She can't stand the thought that another person dislikes her, which leads her to being secretive and hiding the not so nice parts of her personality. Another negative symptom of her being the middle child is her possessive nature; she was used to having things taken away from her. When she has something, Minyoung refuses to let it go even if it's ultimately for the best.


BACKGROUND » 
Minyoung was born on February 29th, which makes her special because only 0.274% of the world's population are born on leap day; a fact that Minyoung is happy to tell. Minyoung has an older brother and a younger sister; Minjun (4 years older) and Minji (2 years younger). Due to her being a middle child, Minyoung grew up often feeling lonely at home and relied on her friends as being her chosen family.

In order to to get out of the dreaded middle-child box she was placed into, Minyoung looked for something to make her stand out. She was a veritable jack of all trades (except for cooking. absolutely dreadful) and finally stopped looking when she discovered Shaolin Kung-Fu when she was 10 years old. Minyoung loved the sport and quickly became pretty good at it. She stopped however after 2 years when she was 12 years old because her sister decided to do Shaolin Kun-Fu as well. As much as she loved the sport, Minyoung lost her passion for it due to her younger sister also excelling at it.

However less than a year after she stopped doing Shaolin Kung-Fu, she decided to give dance a try. And she loved it even more than she loved Shaolin Kung-Fu. Minyoung immediately started trying all kinds of dances; contemporary, hip hop, swing, tap, jazz, popping, salsa etc. She's good at it all- the exception being ballet-, but she didn't choose one specific dance style to excel in. As such, Minyoung is good at variety but it not a master of any one dance style. 

After she discovered her passion for dance at age 13, she immediately began to pursue her new dream of being a solo artist. Even though she only really wanted to be a dancer, she knew that she'd have to hone her other skills as well if she wanted to make it in the entertainment industry. So, Minyoung got her parents to enroll her in piano classes as well as vocal lessons. She only did piano for a year because she just wasn't very good at it. Minyoung continued with her vocal lessons until now.

Minyoung currently goes to Ewha Women's University for music. In order to pay for school, Minyoung also works two jobs. Add that to her dancing and singing and Minyoung has a very busy life. She decided to put it all on hold for Bachelor's Paradise in the hopes that it might help her career as a future solo artist.

the reason you applied » To be honest, she just thought it would be a fun time. It also helps that since Bachelor's Paradise is so popular, Minyoung will be given exposure for her career. Of course, she also wants to find love but that's on the back burner.

strategy » Minyoung is a force to be reckoned with and she naturally attracts people to her. She'll approach the bachelors as herself; no pretense or pretending. Okay, maybe a little bit of lying so they don't realise that she's really only there for exposure. Minyoung will be her direct and charming self, as per usual. It's never failed her before! If a bachelor she's not too keen on approaches her, she'll entertain him. Who knows, maybe he's actually her Prince Charming.

• jooheon » Jooheon looks tough at first, which is what attracted Minyoung to him at first. And then he revealed just how much of a dork he is, which got her even more interested. Like with Changkyun, Minyoung and Jooheon are able to joke a lot. Whenever the two are together, they just manage to have a really good time. Minyoung finds that she can't stop smiling around Jooheon, which is what she really likes about him.
   
• changkyun » In a way, Changkyun reminds Minyoung of her younger sister; they're both pretty scatter brained. As such, she treats him like a younger brother even though they're the same age. Minyoung finds Changkyun easy to talk to because of his similarities with her younger sister and the two act kind of like siblings would.
   
• hyungwon » Minyoung thinks this guy is just kind of weird. He's always quiet and Minyoung is just suspicious of him for no reason. She's paranoid that he's planning something (without reason of course) Once he reveals how cheesy and corny he is, Minyoung just laughs at his romantic gestures. She's no longer wary of him, but she doesn't exactly love him either.
   
• hyunwoo »  Straight up, Minyoung thinks he's hot af. But she wouldn't go after him because he's too reserved and awkward for her liking. Besides, Minyoung thinks he's basically perfect for her best friend Sara and wants them together. The two are able to bond over their love of sports and physical activity. They have a bromance of sorts
   
• minhyuk » Minyoung really likes Minhyuk's social abilities and how easily he seems to get along with other people. She admits that she actually really likes Minhyuk because he always makes her feel comfortable. Minyoung likes how charismatic and caring he is. Whenever he talks to her, Minhyuk manages to make her feel like the only girl in the room. Minhyuk and Minyoung have nice conversations and she finds herself losing track of time with him.
   
• hoseok » Ooooh, CALIENTE. Minyoung admires Hoseok's body. Like a lot. As somebody who works hard for her nice figure, Minyoung can appreciate beauty and Hoseok has it in spades. On a less superficial level, Minyoung wants to get Hoseok to open up to her. She lovea a good mystery and Hoseok is the most compelling one she's found so far. Not to mention his smile does things to Minyoung's heart that it shouldn't...
   
• kihyun » This guy... This guy just makes Minyoung angry. They're both kind of bull-headed people so they heads a lot because of their fiery natures. Minyoung is also low-key jealous of Kihyun because he's great at cooking and would make a better wife than she would. She kind of wants to ask him for cooking help, but her pride won't allow her to. If she did anyways, it would be a disaster.
