I'm going to try advertising one of my stories...

as I mentioned in my earlier blog post, I finished my first chaptered fic, ILYPBS.  I've been thinking about this for months now, and I decided that I'm going to try to advertise ILYPBS on June 21, which is Ryeowook's birthday XD I would have tried for January 1 (Sungmin's birthday) but that's a bit far off from now...

I've had some people tell me that ILYPBS is well written more realistically than other fics about mental illness and honestly I can't judge for myself how good it is because it's hard for me to look at my own writing objectively, but I hope it's at least somewhat decent?  or at least not entirely terrible?  O.o but anyways, I want to try advertising it so more people can read it and judge my writing and leave comments and everything

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to donate karma points to me because even though I do have a pretty good amount of karma, I'm not sure if I'm going to have enough... I don't know how or if I can pay back those karma points, but I'll either do something in return (read one of your fics maybe and leave constructive feedback?  or something else I don't know) or manage to pay it back one day... somehow...

also, can someone please explain to me how the bidding system works ._. I've read the FAQ multiple times but I still don't entirely get how the minimum and maximum bids work DDDDDDDDDDDDDD;

if it's an idol birthday be prepared to spend from 10k to 15k because those are days bidders like to spend.
you simply go to the advertising calender, pick your day, fill the form stating how much karma you want to bid.
let's say you place there 6k points, if someone places more than you did, it will show up the winning bid is 6.1k points, but the maximum bid that person had done could very well be 13k points, it's not shown how much the winning person has bid until the winner.
Now let's say you are the one that bid 13k points, and the highest bid you've bid is 6.1k, if the bid ends like that you will spend 6.1k and the difference is returned to you.
when i won my bid i had stated that i was willing to use 7k points, i actually won with a bid of 5.1 XD so i got 2k returned.
it's a bit complicated but after failing so many times in winning you understand the whole point.
oh wait is your story in the mature category? because there the bid tends to be lower

It actually depends which calendar you use -- the rated M calendar is always cheaper than the normal one, but a lot less people see it if you bid at that amount.

You can actually see how much people bid, and when I did it, I won the bid at 8010, though my highest bid was actually 12000.

Sometimes people win the bid at 5000, but that's actually really, and my guess is that no one beat that 5000, but they actually put down more.

I'd be willing to donate some kp... not sure how much. Just tell me how.

Hey! I hope you get to advertise ILYPBS! It deserves to be seen by readers on AFF!
And the bid system - the minimum bid is always 100 kp. You put in the maximum kp you're willing to spend. Lets say for example 5000. If no one else has bid on that date, it will display the bid amount as 100. If someone else bids say 3000, you're bid is still higher. So then you outbid them via the autobid feature and the displayed kp is 3010. (You need to outbid the previous bid by at least. 10 kp)
If someone bids higher than 5000, say 5500, then they get the spot. The displayed kp would then be 5010.
If no one bids higher than you and the max bid till the end is 3010, then you spend 3010 and get the remaining kp back.
I hope that was clear. I'm not very good at explaining stuff unless I'm actually talking lol :P

Always stalk those 5k-6 bids.
Occasionally within a month there will be three or four times these bids will be low.
And towards the beginning and end of the month it is always over exceeding 10k because role players like to bid during those times.
btw, how much do you have?? I can send some over

Oh and I did it once and needed about 11,000 points I think... I didn't have enough so I bought some! You can buy from aff. You just have to think if you're willing to spend that amount to maybe get a few more subs...

It's easy! You just put the maximum you're willing to bid. It starts lower but if it reaches your max and then the other person bids more they win ^^
