i've avoided talking abt mamamoo for the longest of time haven't i?....

well...now that there's suddenly this collab...looks like i can't pretend to not notice n having nothing to say anymore i suppose....

hmm....even though i'm not into mamamoo...despite knowing they're talented and all that...the song's alrite i guess(it's actually growing on me but sounds like a song that'd be more exciting live than recorded)....though i wasn't sure what to feel about my fav band collab with a group as mainstream as this, lol...but then again...Deokwon had released duet with Suzy before this so...for an 'indie' band, Broccoli is quite mainstream afterall i guess...haa...i manage to still love them bcuz of their music and i loved them before i knew how popular/successful they were anyway n i always loved Deokwon's voice n the fact that the singer is a guy n the other musicians were the ladies- a reversal of the typical male+female band where the dynamic's often the opposite although when they debuted the main singer was female before she left n deokwon stepped up as main vocalist...and hyanggi suddenly became my girlcrush after some twitter conversations....><...not only her guitar playing is badass n she's cute, she's also so friendly n her english is flawless........

edit: and i just realized this wasn't a new song but something mamamoo released with another singer or something n this is just like a random perf collab i suppose...still....worth noting since broccoli is my fav...xD

speaking of Mamamoo....or rather, groups/singers like them in general.....the only problem i have with mainstream talented singers is(other than their music interest me or not...well, i tried a couple of mamamoo songs and decided they're not really for me...) whenever i see singers popular for being talented....their fans always being such turn off that i already know what to expect everytime i see new ones getting that new ride of fame they deserve....their fans often always (overre)act as if oppar/unnir are the only/top talent extraordinaire unbeatable by any....

i mean....there are a lot of talents out there you're not even aware of their existence or just don't bother...many who fade before they could even shine....for all the great superb talents they have....so....bragging too much over this 'talent' thing seems idk...just leave bitter taste in my mouth...just like how everyone would sing praises to singers like Ailee, IU etc as the best singer there is when uhh..................................................people just love putting superlatives so much when for all you know...your superlative only shows the limit of your knowledge....i don't like to use superlative..it feels pretentious. because i know for all my limit....there would be a greater world i know not. it'd be damn embarrassing if i put superlative and people who know better sees my limitation n tsktsk to themselves for my arrogance/bragging over my little knowledge....

plus, acting all top superior the best existence is such turn off and not really a good way of promoting your oppar/unnir you know....i was a fan of brown eyed girls...until they got mainstream stardom, popular n their music started to appeal less to me and not to mention annoying arrogant fans growing massively n taking the lead....

but i guess...that's only for me....it probly works to many peeps...what would i know....haa. like how fangirls always spazz in mass how opparunnir slay SLAYYY the rest....while i'm like...whatever...hey, i fangirl too ok, no denying, i sing praises to my opparunnir all the times...but calling them 'the' best or any other superlatives is kinda....tacky....choice of wording is important to me...i'm boring like dat....

so whenever i see group/singer getting wildly popular for 'talent'....i get wary n avoid them for fear of the tackiness i'd see from their fans putting down the rest cuz opparunnir slay them all...huh......i know i wouldn't miss out a lot since there are still tons of talented ones out there....minus the hype n annoying fan attitude....enough to cater to my taste....i'm a simple person after all with simple taste.... i don't need to stan singer certified as good by the world...i only need to trust my ears n i like nugus....oh yes i do..... ;)

ps: i suddenly get this flash of idea...a fic titled 'Nugu and proud'...lol..but i don't have a great inspiration for the plot to go with it....at least not yet.....

pps: and please chill n refrain from attackingme for bashing opparunnir...cuz if you read carefully...i'm not putting down your idol at all....i'm talking more on the fan attitude and how they affect me....i mean...if i need to clarify that(n the more popular a group, the more likeliness for them having more annoying fans cuz technically, they have more fans so it's just natural). and no need to tell me how it's unfair i don't stan a singer cuz of their fan blabla....it's not like i'm unaware of it....i just make my choices you see.
