What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?
It was originally created for Jason's girlfriend so she would have a place to store her stories without the hassle of what other sites, like winglin, dealt with.
2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?
Um, I believe it's April 7.
3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?
Haha, I actually forget, but Super Junior comes to mind because I think it was a group that his girlfriend was a fan of.
4. How long have you been on AFF for?
For four years since February 18, 2012. ^^
5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?
I believe it was a green at the time. LOL
6. How did you find AFF?
It was through a friend as we had a joint account to write a story, but I eventually made my own and browse around the site and fell in love.
7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
I became a member as I found the site easy to navigate and to actually write and post my stories on unlike other sites that I used or found and it was so hard to work with them. And became a member as I needed an account to actually comment and communicate with the other members to give them feedback and such.

9. What was your first username?
haha it was "bunnyxwarrior".
10. What was the first story you read on here?
omg, that is so hard... because there was the issue with the transfers and crash I believe and many stories and other stuff were unable to transfer over, so I don't think it's on here. Also, many users that I've read from have deactivated since then. and also i didn't create an account if i did read, so i have no idea. ^^
but, if i go to my comment history with the earlier comments that i have, then i will count it. lol it was These Blonde Aliens Are My Oppas?! by simplicity.

Ahh, sadly I don't really remember.
12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?
If I went by my friend list, it would be lildoolmai. We still keep in contact, but not through AFF, sadly.

I have a total of 105 threads. 86 are fanfictions. 15 aren't fanfictions. 31 of the fanfictions have been completed.
14. How many unique subscribers do you have?
As of right now, there are 1201 unique subs.

My main activity is writing one of my on-going chaptered story.

Majority of the time is changing my username. LOL but other than that, it's donating it to another user to help them out.

That Kpop Merch seems like such a nice idea. :D but maybe for site perks or something like that.

No, I have not.

Um, I don't think I have, so can't really say.
23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?
I really like the story features a lot. It's really nice for authors to get the spotlight for a while to advertise their story and such.
24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
I don't really have one, so I can't say that I have a least favorite one.
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
Oh, I would love like a holiday feature for the fun of it. Like the dog mascot for April Fool's. Like have snowflakes during winter, autumn leaves falling for autumn and such. It would be fun to see it happen. ^^
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
I would love a color scheme theme. Like for Halloween would be orange and black, Christmas would be red and green. Also for the white background to not be plain every blue moon sort of thin.
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?
Um, they would be lildoolmai, krisology and LoveSMFamily as I talk to them outside of AFF as well.
28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?
Anyone that wants to get to know me and actually hold conversations with.
29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
I'm grateful to Jason for creating AFF and the fellow AFFHelpers who help maintain the site and run it as best as they can to make sure us users enjoy it. ^^ Thank you.
30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
They would be mainly Sabooo and other authors who write to write and release their imaginations for others to read. Mainly it's Sabooo as for the first time since in a long time, I was able to enjoy a fanfic of fantasy and action like that of an actual publish book, but with celebrities I was familiar with as the leads and characters.
31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?
Either 银河系 [Sea of Stars] as it is my first chaptered story that I've written on AFF and I completed. Or Like Oh as it is the longest on-going story I have ever written and am still interested in writing to complete it. LOL
32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?
I have a few. This Thing Called Love by sandyythaoo and Save Me From the Mess I've Become by JasmineYP.
33. Who is/are your all time favourite author/s?
One that is still active, but not really writing is Sabooo. The other deactivated her account a long time ago, but I've always enjoyed her oneshots was the user, Goldy-Ace.
34. If you could put a star on another user's fics/threads, which one would you pick?
The ones I've mentioned earlier which are This Thing Called Call and Save Me From the Mess I've Become.
35. If you could have any username you want, what would that be? (Did someone already take the username you wanted?)
um, so far, all the usernames i've had no one had taken and i've been okay with the one i have right now. but i'm pretty sure i will have another username change later, but i will stick with matrix76 for now. haha
36. If you would write a fanfic about your life in AFF, what would the title be?
If I ever wrote about my life as a fanfic on AFF... then that would be kinda nice. haha Anyways, the title of it would be... Good Morning. Because with each tomorrow, a new day is ready to be written and that is how I try to see my life as. lol yeah~
37. What was the weirdest thing you encountered on the site?
Um, I believe that would be someone trying to roleplay with me randomly although I didn't know the person and didn't reply back. LOL
38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?
Bringing back my creative juices to write again.
39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)
Um, yes, many times. It's not like AFF really did it, lol it was other things that happened that made it seem that way. First it was being totally into EXO and writing about them, but then drifting away due to their first member leaving. Another is getting into GOT7 and now completely focusing on them and such. Haha. I've never been into the whole OTP, so I don't read any stories that write that. And I don't read fanfics as easily as I used to, and have become picky, so yeah, I just write my own fanfics and read ones from the past or find one that I like recently.
40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
I never really paid attention to the communties, so wasn't really aware honestly. Coding would be pretty cool to participate in, but I have no patience for that. LOL
41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
That it doesn't hurt to try and do something even if you're not that skillful. Others help you improve by giving you criticisim to strive better to your best ability.
42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?
Um... help funding the mobile app? LOL, not sure but I really hope to see it in the works and will continue to donate for the funding of it.
43. What are your current AFF goals?
It's always an on-going one, but it's to read more future fanfics and write them and complete them as well.
44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?
Spending by doing a convention like thing and maybe talking about how we feel and what it means to us. And from what I've seen it's either on the definite westcoast of California or eastcoast of New York. i would prefer Cali since everything happens here. xD

Thank you for continuing to run this site and making it better with new features and other technical things so it would run smoothly and satisfy the users that are using it. I really do hope for AFF to continue on for a long time and be a place for others to feel they are welcome here and have a place to go to. Thank you so much for all that you have done. ^^
