personality —

  ▴ shinji is the kind of person that usually behaves one way or another depending on how close or how well she knows someone. out of politeness she's friendly and would talk to someone to just break the ice even though to her it may seem out of place and awkward. this leads to shinji being easygoing as she would rather be relax and calm instead of uncomfortable and hostile in the environment. luckily shinji is able to adapt in her surrounding without totally feeling like an oddball, although she doesn't mind being a wallflower at times as well. shinji also has a great deal of having empathy for someone or something and tries to perceive many things from different perspective and not be closed-minded often. shinji can be a playful person if she has created a bond with them where their relationship can be at that level. sometimes it takes a while only because she doesn't trust so easily and usually treads the water before diving in completely. sometimes it just depends on the situation and she wants to assess it.

▴ it's how shinji is realistic. sure she's quite imaginative and open-minded, but shinji reminds herself that there are times when she has to think of real life and those around her. it's why she's reserve with people and likes to see and know how they are before becoming closer. shinji dislikes it when people judge others as many people have misjudged her lots of time, but than again she knows it's only human nature to do so. so shinji has to remind herself to not be so biased and try to be fair and see the gray within the black and white. life is never that easy. shinji knows that for sure although the struggles are never that easy to deal with, but that what makes life refreshing and the rewards favorable. anyways, shinji prefers to compromise instead of choosing or doing one over the other, unless it's sports or something easy since most things in life can be judge fairly without complicating the matters further.

▴ even if shinji can remind herself all of the positive things in life, she knows that the negativity has to come and go as well. shinji can be impulsive and say and do things that may make her regret it afterwards and may also seem insensitive and like a jerk, too. this can make shinji become stubborn if she's a firm believer of something or doesn't want change as she has been comfortable with how things have been. it could also mean the changes of doing one thing one way and now having to do it another way. sometimes it would make shinji clumsy, not because she has two left feet or is accidental prone, but because she's unfamiliar and unskilled with it all. which leads to her being absentminded at times as shinji either forgets and gets lost in the focus or is mentally tired and wants something to distract herself from it all. somehow stuff life this can make shinji passive-aggressive without her realizing it. even if she's frustrated or angry, she'll keep her composure in a calm-like way, but her voice and words will betray her as they'll come out differently then she has initially wanted it to and may sound different to the receiver.

▴ all in all, shinji usually says that she's the best example of the saying, 'don't judge a book by its cover'. shinji knows that people will already think of her one way or another not because they know her, but because they know of her or of how she portrays herself. shinji won't go out of her way to change someone's mind of what they think of her, but she will give them the opportunity to get to know her better if they wish, and to find out what kind of bond to form with her as well. so like before, shinji will act and behave one way or another depending on the level of trust, the one on one connection, the different forms of bonding, and the personal closeness she feels with someone on those many levels. for shinji, once you step into her life and want to be a part of it, she's forever got your back and will be there for you to her best ability. shinji doesn't forget those who have done her good or wrong, and pays it back ten fold except the evil part. those who done her wrong, she lets karma get back at them for that.

  ▴ 1992, shinji was born into a musically-oriented family. unfortunately, her birth wasn't a planned one. she was a mistake, but eventually an okay mistake. her parents had one too many drinks at one of their colleague's music function which led to shinji being conceived. she wasn't aborted as neither of her parents wanted to lose face.

  ▴ 1995, at the age of 3 it was discovered that shinji was unable to carry a tune like her siblings. she was basically tone-deaf.

  ▴ 1997, at the age of 5 it was also discovered that shinji didn't have a knack for playing instruments or much of an interest in them.

  ▴ 2000, at the age of 8, shinji became awfully aware of how musically-challenged she was within her family. her parents made it obvious while her siblings would always deny the fact and would say something like it wasn't the right time or their parents were just being too hard on her. for shinji, she tried so hard to watch and observe what her siblings did to make them be able to sing and play instruments with their parents looking at them so proudly. she tried, but it was never enough for her parents as she still couldn't sing properly or play an instrument for longer than a minute.

  ▴ 2003, at the age of 11 was when she wanted to be more and do more when she attended any of her siblings recitals and performances. seeing the audience clap and cheer when her siblings finished performing seemed so thrilling. she wanted somebody to look at her with that much admiration. it was also the year that TVXQ debuted and her sister was an avid fan. shinji felt awed at how they sang, dance, and performed so openly and lively that the audience and fans loved them. it was different from what her parents would let them watch or her siblings to perform. right then and there, shinji became highly interested in this type of world.

  ▴ 2006, at the age of 14, shinji started attending dance workshops thanks to her second brother who also enjoyed this type of style. she and him went to learn dance and to enjoy this other music world that wasn't like their parents. sure her parents didn't know, but it didn't matter much as they didn't really pay her much attention and only focused on her two older siblings whose future seemed a lot more promising then hers. her second brother wanted to do more than just play the piano and the violin. he wanted to create music and write lyrics. he found something worthy of him in that than what his parents wanted. so he knew what shinji was going through as he was the youngest child that was a little different before she came along.

  ▴ 2009, age 17 was when she started getting scouted by talent agency. many of them complimented her on her looks, but nothing beyond that. a few assumed she must have the talents like her siblings since her family was well-known as music people. she didn't deny nor confirm this. her parents forbid her to join any of these talent agency as they were just using pretty faces to get lackluster music across with no real talent in their songs and the likes. when shinji mentioned that one of talent agency wasn't a music one, but an acting agency. her parents took that into consideration of being different and agreed for her to go that way if she wanted to. as acting was different from singing. what they didn't know was that the acting agency was also a music one, as well. but shinji didn't tell them that. until it was too late and she was already old enough to choose her own life and what not.

  ▴ mentor & friend & labelmate, 'yeoeun' yong eunsung, 1988, member of essentia, yeoeun was actually the one that told shinji to audition for bluesphere upon shinji wanting to find another company. yeoeun was one of jaeshin's close friends back when they attended the same music academy and kept in touch once they graduated. yeoeun also knows the other siblings. anyways, when shinji actually joined bluesphere and was accepted, she would seek out help with yeoeun as she was really the only person she knew at the time and to thank her for leading her to this opportunity.

  ▴ labelmate & friend, kim seungmin, 1990, member of aeon, seungmin was actually sleeping when shinji came upon him unknowingly. he fell asleep after dancing in one of the practice rooms and shinji happened to enter that said dance room to practice on her own. at first seungmin was okay because it was music and it lulled him to bed. he just got annoyed when the same song kept restarting every thirty seconds as it disturbed his nap. so he finally woke up and actually observed what was going on and noticed shinji practing and she couldn't get the dance steps right. he silently judged her, but after watching her re-do and re-start it all, he let out a sigh and pointed out her mistakes and where she was going wrong. it startle her as she assumed she was the only one there. seungmin continued to tell her this and that and she silently complied to correct her mistakes. since then she's gone to seungmin for advice on dancing and other things like sleep and reading.

the love timeline —

  ▴ crush & labelmate, park jiho, 1990, member of aeon, shinji has had a major crush on the guy since his debut and even upon joining the same entertainment as him even to this day, but has told no one of her crush since he and sunhye are an unconfirmed couple and didn't want that kind of thing put on her too for being a homewrecker or something and yeah, so she keeps quite. also dating someone within the same company isn't good as what her sister used to tell her as her sister and this one guy had a thing and then he left her when a foreign harpist came along and yeah that didn't sit well with shinji. but it also didn't help that jiho's a playboy and just too good-looking and believes jiho to be out of her league. and again he and yeoeun used to be shipped as an item and that they are also under the company but it made things quite awkward between them, and yeah, it's a hopeless love or a strong infatution for shinji as she believes it to be. so that's why she won't say anything. [xD]
