i never thought i'd ever ever...anticipate a ballad so much...especially...not after a stressful long day finally ended...yet when other songs came up i felt so restless...looking for that one song i wasn't sure which one...

but when i finally got to it...it's like....yesss...this is it...

how even...a depressing sounding ballad...i crave? as a calming reliever....after so much stress?

is that even logical?

but i immediately became uhm...settled n calmed once the song started like wtf....i actually skipped songs that are actually calming by nature that i'd love any other day...

 

i can't believe how ridiculously ignored a person with singing talent as great as he...

but then again...he was active as ballad singers these past years...and kpop fans don't care ballad singers...especially non mainstream aka not big3/4/5/whatever hyped ones...so...why am i surprised? and even when he's an idol...his group was never really popular despite how good they're...

even kevin who's more mainstream n from a more mainstream albeit unpopular group ZE:A, just as amazingly talented singer in his own right, get sleeped on and even being belittled by fans of a certain more popular idol-that-shall-not-be-named who felt threatened by his amazingness...so they had to say ridiciulous thing like oppar sing so much better than him when truth is...not even in your fking dreams...maybe just in your delusion...

even in music...the music deemed 'good' by majority is always the one i hear as *****....while i acknowledge different tastes...but it seemed that it's not so different that i found it....horrifying...

oh well, nothing i could do bout it but whining...but if you know me...you'll know why i feel the need to loudly express my unpopular opinions...bcuz they could make a difference rather than not be spoken at all...

back to ahem...my subject...i sometimes wonder...if he's still an idol...would he be more appreciated...most probly not...he's an idol with merely great passion in every word he sings n every breath he takes and unearthly singing...he doesn't have your oh so overperfectly handsome pretty overload ps face, he doens't even try to win you by making himself look good like controlling expressions or angles while singing-at least not in his self posted vids...or your oh so perfectly machined mechanical cool moves to top the perfection...you know, those criterias that makes you worthy to be fangirled. even when people would try to sugarcoat it...

when he sing, you just need to close your eyes...and listen.

frankly...maybe it's cuz i'm some sort of old boring soul...the passion, the singing..that's when a singer the handsomest/prettiest to me...i don't need to see any of those flashy gimmicks or grandeur perfection...hey i've been in kpop too long to be impressed by such thing anymore...those flashy fancy shmancy superficial perfection...they're dime a dozen...as long as you have the money...everything can be obtained...

but passion, not quite.

that's something he has plenty of.

in monday kiz..he always get very little parts that doesn't require as much vocals as the other two singers...i guess it's probly cuz of his role as a maknae though ppl who just assume would probly quick to point that it's cuz he's not as superior in vocals(this reminds me of Sei in Lady Collection...it pained me seeing how very little n blah the weight of her parts were bcuz she's the maknae and they're focusing on the other two girls...ugh...)...but seriously...his singing is not inferior at all...he brings his own style that makes it refreshing...he's a little different sounding than any conventional ballad singers...you can easily hear it...

then again...i'm very aware of how ridiculously biased i am possibly sounding rite now. lol.

i love how he is able to sing so sharply n strongly while making it sound vulnerable...like...how even he did that?

the last time i fangirled so shamelessly embarrassing was with oppars...you know which oppars...xD

fangirling is so draining energy...i'm tired...so i'll just go sleep or sth...

but before that...like i said...no harm in posting same thing so here...

^ he posted 8 covers already in his channel (mixture of Korean n English songs)...but mostly...his music preference doesn't match mine...i only powered through cuz his voice...but this song is just so beautiful...n i love how it push him to his limits(well, i think...i wonder if he's like Mr.Park from Ladies who seem to have no limit at all)

do check him out...even if you don't like this song you may like any of the other songs posted...you might think nugu? but one of his cover even have over 100000 views...that's already the level of MV views for not-so-nugu nugu idol that are known internationally but not popular....only that, his views mostly came from fans of him as a ballad singer from his monday kiz days...n mostly just from S.Korea...so imagine..that's just his cover...n he ain't from some hyped blabla...

and of course...Hanbyul educates me...so i went checking around to find that this MC The Max song is actually...a new song!! 

if you want to compare the vocals...(personally i would say mr. not human is on par...don't you dare disagree or i'ma hunt you with pitchforks lol)

i'm in love with this song...and i think even moreso with Hanbyul's version.....aaaaaahhhhhh.....T^T....damnit.

yeah i know MC The Max's vocalist has been getting bad reputation from his scandalous stuffs...

but is it my fault if i absolutely adore this song from them?

i mean...that song is so catchy and look at them cuties...this song is one of my top favs all time...but it's not like i'm a fan of their other music...i guess this is more pop-ish so i digested it more easily...

the song even inspired one of my older fics' vibe n trailer...

i never really like the vibe mr.not human give...he has this...arrogant-like smug bratty aura from back in his idol days...that feel like he just want to be treated seriously/as adult n not like the maknae he was...he never had much aegyo unlike typical maknaes...just the vibe i get from his smirk n all...n when another member talked of his first impression...and i don't think he liked being cute either since he was like in some rock band in school or sth...you know...typical Busan guys...no cutesy...but i think he's a decent person after all..seeing the way he treat people around him...those little gestures, beneath the facade...either he is or is not...i love his singing and that's that. tbh...i ship jaekyung more with the leader since this kid looks too much like a kid to match JK's matured elegance but i do like challenging self for odd pairings that will take work to be convincing rather than easy ships everyone just jump into without looking at the context/quality of writing...but whatever...just seeing a'st1 n rainbow members still friends is more than enough to make me happy...
