Hye Ran doesn't really remember what happened but when she was younger she lost her family and she was on her own. She did rather well by herself but stuck to the woods and forests mainly. She never really wanted to deal with anyone because any of the magic fol she interacted with looked down on her and treated her like an outsider.
When she was 15 a fellow water faerie found her and took pity on her. He took her home and his wife insisted that she stay with them until she got herself back up on her feet. She never left. They treated like she was one of their own and the water faerie helped her practice her powers.
The others in the clan didn't like her but they could not do much about it. The man was high on the ladder and had to accept her. They didn't have to treat her kindly though. The one who treated her the best was the man's son. He was a fire faerie and they got along perfectly.
The two of them ended up getting married when she was eighteen. A year later he became the leader of the clan and she along with him. The clan didn't flourish but they weren't doing worse than before. The two of them had a daughter and life seemed happy.
When Hye Ran was 23 her husband got sick. Very sick. Members of the clan started blaming her and saying that she was just trying to take control. He died before their daughter turned three and she ended up the leader of the clan.
Just before her 25th birthday the clan staged a coup. They could not kill her but they could banish her. They took her daughter and drove her out of their territory with the warning that if she ever came back she wouldn't have the chance to leave again.
As she was on her way out she happened to bump into a young light faerie. The younger followed her as she made her way north. She knew of open territory up there and had a plan. The younger didn't bother her so she decided to let the light faerie come along.
When they got to Seoul Hye Ran found some open land and claimed it for her own clan. lt started as just the two of them but she made sure wanderers knew it was open. lt wasn't long before a young mage found her and joined their clan. Soon another came, except this time it was a Gumho seeing asylum.
The last to find her was vampire. Hye Ran was very hesitant to accept her. She had uncontrollable bloodlust and she knew what that could do. lt took a lot of convincing before the vampire was allowed to join them

Personality: Kibum rolls with the punches. He comes up with new plans on the spot and he is fine with not having roots. He prefers it that way. He will be there for his clan but he is ready to leave in a moments notice. He would help his clan if he could and is a shoulder to cry on as well. lt is all but impossible to offend him as well. He doesnt take things personally but if you get on his bad side enjoy the stay. 
Kibum trusts people. Even those who shouldnt be trusted. He wants people to be good so he assumes they all are. He doesnt open up to people much, not since he left his last clan. He would prefer that people dont know about his past so he keeps that all to himself. One thing he doesnt keep to himself is his hate. lf you do something against him you can all but say goodbye to your friendship. Background: Kibum had the life. His parents were wealthy and he had a good life set out in front of him. He was popular and almost everyone in his school knew who he was. He had his life set for him. When he was thirteen things changed though. His family was on a trip to Jeju and he got lost. His family was in the woods and he must have taken a wrong turn somewhere. He didnt see anyone for a few days but on the third day a man found him. Kibum thought he was going to help him but the man took him away. 
The man hurt Kibum but not in a way that he could understand. He bit him over and over for days until one day he came to Kibum and didnt bite him. He gave Kibum something to drink. He didnt want to drink it but he was so thirsty. lt was terrible tasting yet he couldnt stop. 
Almost a month after Kibum was taken was the first time he was able to do anything. The man, Shin Taemin, let him come up during the nighttime but he didnt have the energy to do anything but sit there. He was so exhausted and hungry but Taemin refused to feed him. He just continued to offer the disgusting drink. 
Time didnt seem to be the same for him anymore. He hardly saw anything besides his room and Taemin. He couldn't remember the last time he saw the sun either. He was so tired all the time too so he never could go out and even try to get away. 
Almost a month after Kibum was taken he was able to go out. Taemin hauled him out when he left but didnt let Kibum see anything. They went to a small club it seemed like and thirteen year old Kibum felt out of place. lt was there that he fed for the first time. There was a woman there who was drugged and would fight. Taemin cut her wrist and Kibum wasnt in control anymore. Part of him he didnt understand. Everything went red and before he realised what he was doing he was drinking her blood and he liked it. 
Kibum lived with Taemin for three more years and he hated the man the entire time. He wasnt nice to Kibum and made him do harsh things all the time. Just before he turned 17, Kibum made a break for it. He went to the only place he knew and that was home. He saw his house but there was a strange family living in it. He didnt have any friends around him that he could just stop by after three years. He was on his one and alone. 
Taemin eventually caught up to him and really hurt him. He saw Kibum as his own property so he had the right to. When ever they went out in public they would post as father and son and that was what got Kibum his freedom. Taemin went after Kibum when they were in public and a few stranger went after Taemin. Kibum ran away but he did see the police show up and haul him off. 
After that he started looking for his family. He didnt get the chance to look for long though. When he was twenty he bumped into a local clan and they decided they would take him in. They didnt have his input though. He never told people he was a turned though. They were harsh with him for a while but he started to feel at home. He was with them for almost three years when he let slip that he was a turned. The clan panicked and kicked him out. 
He was on his own and didnt have any plans. He just started north towards the free territories. He managed to get there but he picked up a tail once he got there. A vampire was following him for a few days before he stopped in a cafe and waited for said vampire. Once the other vampire got there he sat and started talking with Kibum. His name was Jinki and he was looking into making a new clan. 

Love Story: Hye Ran saw Kibum for the first time by attacking him. She saw him standing over the youngest and she didn't ask any questions. She was no match for him though and he had he pinned to the floor in seconds. Rage came up and she tried to fight but Youra stopped her from doing anything really bad. She was the rational one who wanted to talk. He was willing to talk but still didn't let her up. He just stared at her for the longest time before one of his told him to get up.
The hostility lasted until they got their younger one than they left. Hye Ran was still seething and was quite angry at Youra. She was the one to bright back the young vampire in the first place so she was going to be the one to help the maknae with her panic attack.
She started researching the Shinee clan. They were very close to her own and they obviously weren't afraid to come at them. Next time they would be ready. She was at the public library while doing her research so when a familiar voice called to her she froze. The leader of the very clan she was researching was standing behind her. He assured her that he only wanted to talk with her.
They didn't leave on good terms but she didn't leave expecting an attack either. She was still wary when every she saw someone who even looked slightly like one of them. The worst thing was after their confrontation she started noticing their leader everywhere.
He was at the coffee shop every morning and at the market she passed on her way to work. He was even coming out of the bookstore when she was going into. She did her best to ignore him but he was everywhere. One night she saw him go into a little dive bar and she felt compelled to follow him. Boy that was a mistake.
From the second she walked in she felt wrong. Everyone was watching her and the hairs on the back of her neck were on end. She managed to make it to the bar without a problem but that was it. A skeevy man sat next to her and didn't even try to hide his fangs. That was when she knew she went into the wrong bar. A few more vampires stood behind him and were closing in on her. She could not move away though.  She felt a cool hand go around her waist and yank her back and away.
The person behind her was cool but reassuring. She didn't feel pain and the others were staying at bay. When the body spoke and she realised it was their leader she spun away from him and put her back to the others. Mistake number two.
The attacked her but thankfully he was quicker. He was able to grab her and all but fly out the door before any of them touched her. He didn't ask any questions just started towards her house. He had a firm grip on her wrist so she could not pull away. When they got to the border of her territory he demanded to know what she thought she was doing, going to a vampire bar after sunset. He didn't wait for an answer before leaving.
After that she felt a pair of eyes on her as she walked home every day. He didn't know why but Kibum convinced the others in the clan to watch her after sundown. Realistically he knew this faerie was nothing to him but he could not help himself.
A few weeks later she managed to catch the eyes that were following her. lt was the young vampire that came to her house a few months ago. She demanded to know what he was doing but he would talk. Frustrated she told him to go home and followed him. There she waited for Kibum to come home. They had a long argument but he refused to take her tail away.
She decided to test the tale and went home. Home home. Back to Busan. She figured out where he daughter went to school and was able to catch a glimpse of her at recess. Kibum came out and asked her why they were there. Because she was emotional she told him what she was doing there and he just calmly stood there.
After her daughter went back inside she went to see Si Beom and that was where she broke down. Kibum didn't know what to do so he just let her cry. After she was cried out he picked her up and took her to a little cafe to get a drink. While there were there a familiar face approached them.
Someone from her old clan reported her and they were coming. Hae Ryong had to give her a warning though. She and Kibum ran.
The rest of the way to Seoul was in silence. Kibum wasn't going to say that he understood her more but he was more interested then before.  He stopped asking the others to watch her and when he was trailing her her walked with her.
Months after they first met there is a show going on and Hye Ran stops to watch. Kibum doesn't watch the show, he watches her. He doesn't understand what he is feeling and for a water faerie too. After that he casually started finding reasons that they needed to do things. They needed groceries or her books were due at the library. She was running late for work so he would get her there on time or it was dark out and he could see better than her so he held her hand the entire way home.
Hye Ran knew what he was doing but strangely it didn't bother her. She tried to find things that she needed to do that the others could not do . Her best idea was that she forgot her lunch once so she had to go out and get some.
Finally Kibum did something. He didn't actually tell her what was going on just after work he took her to this little restaurant a few blocks from her work.  When she asked if this was a date he turned slightly red and didn't answer. After that they made it a weekly thing that they would go to the same restaurant.


  

How do feel about your clan? Do you feel welcome and happy there? Well l should hope l feel welcome. lt's my clan after all. This clan is more welcoming than my previous one but we stall have our...issues. The girls are good together for the most part but sometimes l feel like they want me to mother them and l wont. 

What was your reaction when your clan's ever-lovely Mage, Youra, brought back that Taemin guy from the SHINee clan back to base, especially when you saw he was unconcious and bleeding? He needed to go. He would only drag trouble in behind him like a cat drags in mice. He stayed and look what happened. This is what happens when people dont listen to me. 

Which member of the clan are you closest to? The maknae. She first found me even before the clan was started and she has stuck close to me ever since. lts almost painful how much she reminds me of Si Hyang though

Well, l am a mother. l might not be considered one but l am. l'm a leader and a damn good one at that. Not many people can bring these type of girls together and have it work. l'm not the one to come to with tears but if you need something done l'm there. l'm protective of whats mine and probably a bit too cold but l cant afford to lose anything else in my life. l dont know if l could handle that. 

What species do you hate the most? Why? Selkies. They are disgusting creatures that feed on the weak and hurting to get what they want in life. l've only ever seen one in my life but that was more than enough for me. lf l dont see one again in my life it will be too long.
