Would you allow someone to translate your story?

I have been pondering over this one since recently, some people have been asking me to translate my stories to their language. I don't know what to say since don't feel confident about the things I write, and I don't know if it is right. I mean, I think I couldn't be blamed since I have doubts how I phrased things would be changed in another language. And, it was something I worked hard on and I don't know if it would be okay to do that. I don't know.

As much as I want to approve... I just can't have an answer to any of them.

Would it be okay or not to have others translate your work, if it were you?

Too risky author-nim. I read some blogs here dat say they didnt allow it, but the person did anyway. U either agree or not, but the risks r too high. If u did agree, some wont credit u nd all that. Its still up 2 u in the end. [^•ㅅ•^]

I think it's fine as long as they give proper credit and link back to the original

It's okay for me as long as I got credited for the original work, of course ^^ and they will provide me the link of their translated work.

I had one of my stories translated into Russian but they deleted it again and ever since I've decided to say no if someone was to ask in the future.
I did permit the Russian translation so no one did anything wrong.
But yeah... ;; I don't think I want my stories translated unless they get published and stuff like that.

Why not? Our intention is for them to read anyway. Thats my passion, to hv more people read to what i hv work hard for. as long as they credit the story fully to us tho
