personality : HyunJae is a seriously confident person. She knows who she is, loves who she is, and owns who she is. HyunJae has an air about her that just speaks it, and everyone knows it. She's the kind of girl that you want to be around, because she'll build you up with her own confidence. She's really adaptable. She can change herself to fit any situation, and she can go from a pissy to a perfect angel when someone important comes along. It's amazing, how she can make a total 180. HyunJae knows just how to make herself ideal for the situation. She's really creative. Be it art, her words, her jokes, HyunJae loves to paint, draw, do anything and everything creative, and she's good at it. HyunJae can come up with the craziest, most genius plan you've ever hear in your life in minutes. She's very humorous, and her creativity helps with her humor. Unfortunately, she's so reckless. This fun-loving attitude allows her to smoke, bungee jump with nothing but the vest, ride a skateboard without a helmet. HyunJae doesn't mind consequences, and as a result she has a scar down the left side of her face (An inch above her jaw to just under it), another, more jagged three in scar under her right shoulder, and a scar near te left corner of her bottom lip. HyunJae just doesn't care, she just wants to have fun. This girl is seriously dramatic, she makes everything bigger than it has to be, which is something a lot of people dislike about her. She's always over-the-top, and she likes to start fights. She's argumentative as hell, and thrives on intense, angry situations. HyunJae simply loves to argue and she's damn good at it, too. This girl lives to argue. HyunJae is also irresponsible. She doesn't pay attention to her responsibilities, and tends to just shove them aside (Unless it's for work). She doesn't think that responsibilities are for her, which is total bull. She's super, super selfish, always putting the blame on others to make herself look better. She rarely thinks of other's feelings and thoughts, simply doing what she wants, when she wants. HyunJae only thinks of number one, which pisses off a lot of people.
Even so, she's very sentimental, and everything holds some emotional value to her. That Valentine's Day card from her kindergarten class that everyone had to hand out? She could never throw it out! A seashell she randomly found when she moved into her third apartment? It's safely wrapped and put up. Of course, things like the promise ring Kibum gave her when she was nineteen (He has one, too) is rightfully polished and worn constantly, and her sister's necklace is always safe from harm. HyunJae is very athletic, and she basically lives and breathes sports. She integrates working out and sports into her everyday routine, starting at four thirty every morning when she goes for a jog until about five ten, when she returns home. She feels like someone who enjoys that kind of thing, just by looking at her and talking to her. Also, HyunJae is loud, both in personality and in volume. She can easily drown you with her words and body language. HyunJae is always a sarcastic piece of trash (In her own words). Almost everything she says- Especially to Kibum- is rude and dripping with sarcasm. She can make it fit every situation, which is quite unique.
background : HyunJae's older sister, Sooyun, was always a great Unnie. She always loves and cared for her baby sister, even after she started dating a boy named Kim Hyeon- The older brother of the ever-antisocial Kim Kibum. He was the exact opposite of HyunJae- She liked to be loud, go outside, and didn't mind getting bad grades, and Kibum was quiet, liked the inside, and would nearly have a breakdown if he got bad marks. HyunJae never liked him, but she loved Hyeon. He was like an older brother to her- So imagine the shock she went through when Sooyun and Hyeon disappeared. Police searched for them everywhere, but there was simply no trail. HyunJae went into depression (She was eleven years old at the time) and hid away from the world until one day, Kibum broke into her room through her window. The first few times she kicked him out- What kind of freak broke in through the window?!- but after a while, she simply let him sit there and comfort her.
When she was fourteen, and Kibum sixteen, their parents recieved a call that Sooyun and Hyeon were safe- They had run away to America after finding out Sooyun was pregnant (When they left, Sooyun was eighteen and Hyeon was nineteen). They refused to come back to South Korea, but did keep in contact, especially with their siblings, and even sent wedding pictures, and pictures of their twin daughter and son, MiOk and Jeong. After this, HyunJae started to become the person she used to be, and helped Kibum branch out, and it wasn't long before he finally showed what he was- A y fashionista who was much like a mother. Previously, only his grandmother and Hyeon had seen this side of him, and at that rarely.
HyunJae was immensely grateful when she was in high school, because she made a lot of friends- As did Kibum. They were best friends, and both got piercings and dyed their hair as they pleased. HyunJae began to take electives like sports medicine and body comp. She began to drift away a bit from Kibum, but in a healthy way. When Kibum started college, they again grew closer as HyunJae would always finish school first and bring him meals, hang out with him, etc. He asked her out when she ws eighteen, he was twenty-one. They had their fights like any other, and HyunJae as thrilled when Kibum gave her a promise ring for Christmas in 2013. She decided to attend college, majoring in biology, while Kibum had been majoring in Child Care and Development as well as Early Childhood Education.
They were both very successful with their education, Kibum starting as a kindergaten teacher in 2014 while HyunJae started her job as a personal trainner in early 2015. Eleven months ago, Kibum proposed on a cool, snowy day while he and HyunJae had gone on a short, three-day vacation while they had dinner inside of a higher-class restaurant. HyunJae obviously accepted, and she cried a lot, especially when the whole place applauded them. Since then, they've been pretty happy, but of course there's always that one thing that neither can stop thinking about.

personality : Kibum, in reality, is a very sensitive person. Though he doesn't show it often, all of the criticism he gets from some "unhappy" (More like y as , as HyunJae says) parents really gets to him. Even if it's something small like "Hana took my son's crayon, why weren't you paying attention?" requires at least a cuddle and ice cream from HyunJae to calm and reassure him. Kibum is seriously insecure like his close friend, Park Minyoung. He simply doesn't have much faith in himself, and is really afraid he'll mess up and get one of his students hurt or worse, and that if he and HyunJae break up, it'll be his fault. Unforunately, Kibum is too trusting- He often attracts the wrong kind of people and doesn't realize it. Of course he notices it when it's not him- Because, seriously, HyunJae's friend Sunyoung is bad news, but Hae-Jung's not half bad- But when it comes to him he's useless. He's gotten hurt in the past many times due to this.
He's also quite social. Though in the past interaction wasn't his thing, he loves to talk, go out, and simply be with people. He has a lot of friends because of this, which really is a great thing. He himself is actually very supportive. Kibum likes to comfort people, and he' good at it. Where some teachers may tell little Mino that he can't be an alien when he grows up, Kibum gives him advice like to say "Where is your leader?" when he invades new planets, and when Mina says she wants to be a big brother, he says that she should go buy bigger clothes to grow into. When HyunJae said she wanted to be a physical therapist for athletes, he told her to go for it. When she changed her mind and wanted to be a personal traineer, he said he knew some parents who wanted to get in shape while their kids were at school. Kibum is maternal- There's no two ways about it. He naturally draws in kids with his caring personality, and though he nags sometimes, he has the best thoughts in his heart.
meeting : Kibum and HyunJae met through their siblings. Their first meeting was quite awkward- HyunJae tagged along with Sooyun to Hyeon's and Kibum's home. Hyeon met them at the door, and let HyunJae in, saying he and her sister would run to grab some snacks, because he decided they were staying the night. HyunJae playing with herself in the living room, playing with the dogs, braiding her and the dog's hair, etc. until the door opened- Not to reveal her sister and Hyeon, but a stranger with a split lip. Both screamed, HyunJae hiding behind the couch, and Kibum in the kitchen, threatening to call the police (At the time, his parents worked so they weren't ever home). HyunJae started to cry because she didn't want to go to jail, and then Kibum was between calling the police and crying because he didn't know how to handle a strange girl he'd never met before crying on his floor and because he just wanted to go home and have Hyeon nurse the lip that busted when his usual bullies hit him. The oldest two came home to blood and tears all over the floor.
Kibum asked HyunJae out three years ago at her college after she finshed her classes for the day. He said he wanted to have a picnic on campus, and thus he brought food and a blanket- All homemade, including the blanket (Though his grandmother was the one to make it, yeas ago). They ate a lot and simply milled around, pretending like they were doing homework until their friends all started showing up out of no where, each hold a balloon with a letter on it, until it spelled "Love me?" She was seriously confused until Kibum helped hr stand up and asked with the cutest blush ever if she would go out with him. HyunJae was really surprised but totally said yes- After all, she'd crushed on him for years. In the beginning, they seemed to stay the same as they were- Best friends. But it wasn't long until they comfortably slepts in the same bed, and had even more of each other's stuff at their apartments than before. They were totally into skinship after they started to date, thouhg Kibum blushed a lot.
and now : Kibum and HyunJae don't live together- They have too much fun "breaking into" each other's apartments. Their apartments are literally down the block from each other, so they can walk to each other's places whenever they want. They often cook each other meals, even when they can't eat together. They healthily have their life together, and their life apart. Often, they hang out with their own friends during the day and are together evening/night, or sometimes go a few days with only texts or a call or two, because both are simply busy- After all, HyunJae is still in college, and Kibum is currently taking language and cooking classes at the local community college.
interactions : Kibum and HyunJae playfully insult each other all. The. Time. They have no problem yelling at each other or anything, because usually it's not seriously. They do a lot of skinship, and have gotten a lot closer since their promise rings and engagement. Often, they plan little things about their wedding, but they haven't done anything seriously about it yet, even though it's almost been a month. This is because there's a lot of strain about their opinions and feelings about having children. HyunJae really doesn't want any, but Kibum loves children so much. It causes a lot of problems in their relationship, and they fight about it a lot- More than anything else they fight about, really. They don't mind cursing each other out unlike a lot of couples, and are often described by their friends as "The Bantering Couple," because a lot of the time, that's all they do. HyunJae calls Kibum "Pumpkin" all the time, both affectionately and insultingly, but mostly the latter. The same goes for Kibum calling her Honey.

the arugument — her thoughts : Kibum and I argued about having kids- Again. We've been engaged for about a year now, but because we can't agree on something as important as that, we've been holding off planning. I mean, I know Kibum wants kids, I do, but I don't. And he didn't even really mean to bring it up, he just mentioned that one of his students (Kim Mino) was really cute that day, and that he hoped are kids would be that cute. It shouldn't even have been an argument, I made it one. And I feel like for ruining his good mood- He was so happy and I went and ed it up. I don't even remember what I said at first, the next thing I remember after him saying that is me yelling at him he's a selfish douche bag and that he should at least consider my feelings. Kibum got so pissed, I really thought he would hit me- I know he's better than that, but the expression he made then...It was scary. Then we started arguing even more when I said I didn't want to end up like my sister- And I have no ing clue where that came from- But Kibum took that as an offense becuase I basically blamed Sooyun Unnie getting pregnant all on Hyeon Oppa. It just...It was a total ing disaster, and messed up badly. Eventually he just walked away and said he had to go meet up with his friends.
the argument — his thoughts : I'm sad, to be honest. I love HyunJae, I really do, but the fact that she doesn't want kids is hard to deal with. I know, I'm not the one who has to go through pregnancy and labor, and I knew that from the beginning she had this kind of attitude, but I thought that...If she fell more in love with me she'd change her mind. I know it was stupid and selfish of me to think so, but I love her, I couldn't let her go for that. But I can't imagine life without my son or daughter in my arms. And I know HyunJae knows that I feel like that, considering she said I could go find another who would he happy to me more than love me. It's the strangest thing, the way she acts when she's hurt. I mean, I wasn't kind either after all- I did tell her that she could go disppear off of the face of the Earth and not a single person would bother to care...Who says that? Especially to their fiance? I've always been such a boyfriend. I always make life harder for her. I wish that she never agreed to date me, she would be so much happier...
the accident : Ah...Kibum was outside with his kindergarten class while they were all getting picked up after school. One of the younger ones had seen his mother and ran across the street, but a car didn't see him since he was too small. Kibum pushed him out of the way, but...He got really, really hurt. He's always been that stupid hero, saving the day. He really cares about his students, so one couldn't expect him to just stand by, seriously. The driver still is apologizing, and he paid for the hospital bills for both Kibum and his student- Luckily Taeji only broke his wrist- but seeing him in that hospital bed only reminded me of some of the we said to each other two weeks before. It was terrifying, he looked so hurt and small...

answer : "About two weeks- All Kibum's fault!" She insisted, "He suddenly decided he had to grade kindergarten papers or some . I just went along with it, so yeah. Kibum's fault. And it's his fault for getting hit by a car. I mean...He did what was right, of course he should have saved his student. Still, he shouldn't have gotten so angry and avoided me for so long..."
