TRAINEE SPAN » Eight years (Four years at JYP, the rest at SM)
TRAINEE BACKGROUND » Hae-Jung first started to look into music companies at ten years old. She was very intererest from a young age, and thus tried out for many agencies. When she was twelve, she was scouted at her school's talent show by JYP. She became a trainee and was there for three years. In her time, she was bullied for her young age and lack of singing talent. Most trainees in JYP were better than her in vocals, and she felt as though she wasn't good enough. Hae-Jung switched to SM Entertainment and had a much better experience there. People were much more welcoming and she had a vocal teacher who simply knew how to bring out her voice. She was especially pleased to meet her best friend in the whole world there. She was well-liked because of her talent by her teachers, and the trainees love her for her warmness and how she took care of them. Her favorite memory of being an SM trainee was meeting Girl's Generation when they ran into each other as Hae-Jung was leaving the practice room. They interacted well, though since Jessica split, they've distanced.

Kim Hae-Jung has always been a cold girl. She was never sociable with other people, and thus seemed to be a "mature person," when in truth she simply didn't like anyone. She seems to give a frosty glare on occasion, and overall her warmer personality is drowned out by this most dominant trait. She also tends to be argumentative, so starting fights is just something she does naturally. She tends to thrive on conflict and raised blood presure, no matter how strange that may be. Some people Are just like that, and she's one of them for sure. Hae-Jung just feels better in those kinds of situations.

She's also unrealistic about her expectations in life. Hae-Jung thinks that Aeon will become a top girl group simply because they debuted. She believes her life will be easy and go the way she planned it with no bumps in the road. She can't be talked out of these ridiculous thoughts, so, to be honest? There are people just waiting for her to get knocked by reality. She has no qualms about speaking her mind and opinions, thus often getting in trouble- Not that she cares. Hae-Jung has an opinion about everything, and you're going to hear it. Hae-Jung is also pretty strict when it comes to the band.

Strict about their diets and what time they eat, about how they behave, about their bedtimes- She's like a serious mother. You eat according to the diet, and you eat during the set times, no exceptions unless you were doing a schedule. Though it depends on their activities for the day, usually breakfast it between four and five in the morning. Lunch is in-between schedules and dinner is eight to nine, no matter how hungry you are. You can only have one snack a day. Be in bed by eleven unless there's a schedule. Hae-Jung doesn't let the girls slack at all.

Hae-Jung is also emotional, though, and cries the most out of the members. Little things and trigger her anger, but she can switch quickly back to happiness depending on her envirionment. She often cries the most at movies and when Aeon wins an award, and also talks about her family the most. She's sentimental about a lot of things, so everything is important to her. That seashell a boy gave her in first grade? It's sitting safely on her top shelf. The first present the maknae ever gave/made her? Safely protected in a box. The monster she drew for Halloween in middle school? Yup, that's safe to. Everything is important to her and has some sort of emotional value.

Hae-Jung is seriously independant, and doesn't lean on anyone for support unless she knows she has to. She prefers to do things on her own with no help- Like when she graduated high school, she moved out immediately to her own apartment and never asked her family for money. She started working as soon as it was legal. Hae-Jung remembers where she needs to be, when she needs to be there, and exactly where her keys are every morning. She can take care of herself easily, no problem.

And she can also take care of others well. As previously mentioned, she acts like a real mother, and that'd because she really has that "maternal instinct" that everyone talks about. Whether you believe it or not, this girl has it. She naturally cares for others even if she doesn't show it, and despite her coldness, the girls know they can go to her with their problems- It just takes a while of getting to know her for it to show. Hae-Jung is very confident with her abilities as well as her looks, and you can feel this confidence. She has a presence about her that just screams that she knows who she is- Really, this girl is likely the most confident you'll ever meet.

Hae-Jung is a very professional person. She treats her job (Being an idol) like a job- Something you take seriously. She always keeps herself in check around important people and staff, and treats everyone how they're to be treated. Elders like elders, sunbaes' like sunabaes', dongsaeng like dongsaeng- Some people actually admire her ability to not let emotions get in the way. She accomodates everything like ever professional does. She keeps herself very poised, having the proper manners needed in a situation and keeps her composure (Unless it's fighting with people she's close to. Then all bets are off) in the worst of situations. She's calm and in control.
 

background » Kim Hae-Jung was born to a couple of...Interesting parents an early winter morning, Being an only child, she was quite spoiled during her early years, but only by her father. Her mother was always too busy with work and never cared much for her daughter. Hae-Jung remembers being a young child as fun and exciting, going to zoos and amusement parks, cuddling with her father in the late afternoons and taking naps- It was all fun and wonderful until her mtoher decided to finally take an interest in her. Minyoung was suddenly quite srtict with her daughter, seeting unrealistic rules and expectations. Hae-Jung was shocked at the sudden change in her life,going from having everything she wanted to suddenly nothing but a whole lot of work to do. She did her best to conform to her mother's wishes, but she was never quite good enough.

When she was seven years old, her father bought her tickets to go see a concert with him- It was her first break from studying non-stop in months. She was absolutely enraptured by the amazing energy, amazing performances, and the idea in the first plae. This is when she first developed an interest in music. From then on, she would secretly buy CDs and listen to them while studying, using all the money her father gave her to buy something related to music. In one of the rooms in her house, there was a grand piano that she taught herself to play with the help of a few books. Her mother found it to be a favorable skill and allowed her to continue, and Hae-Jung began to have recitals where she became very well-known.

These recitals let her really know how much she wanted music in her life- Forever. She began to sing even though she wasn't fabulous at it, and she was overjoyed to find out about her talent in dancing.Hae-Jung's father arranged a dance teacher, and was fully supportive of her when she said she wanted to be like the idols she saw on TV. When she audtioned and was rejected repeatedly, she never lost hope with her father's words. When she was scouted, her life simply couldn't get better- Unfortunately, it got worse. The training was harsh, and when Hse-Jung's mother found out she just about had a coniption. Still, they moved to Seoul out of pure coincidence- Her mother's new job was there. Elated, Hae-Jung no longer had to commute every day to get there pretend she was studying.

Nothing significant happened in her life until she was sixteen and changed to SM. Since she had become  ahigh schooler, her mother decided she must become more serious and less in love with immature dreams of being an idol. She all but forced her to give her dream up, keeping her away from everything that she loved and cared about besides the minumum required training time she had to do- After all, it wouldn't look good for a public figure to ruin her daughter's career, right? Hae-Jung became a much more warped version of herself, cold and strict and unhappy. Still, she had some gerat people who helped her through these tough times. She specifically remembers being eighteen, and when she graduated her whole homeroom class invited her to go out to dinner and karaoke with them, despite the fact that she wasn't close with any of them.

Three yeas ago, her father got the terrible call that his sister and her husband died in a car accident. Though Hae-Jung hadn't met them since their son was born she wasn't all that saddened until she got to the hospital and saw that cousin of hers. Bandaged, sad, and newly orphaned, she simply felt a pain in her heart that can't be described. Her father convinced his wife to take him in, and Hae-Jung immedaitely became a surrogate mother for Chin-Hae. He was one of the few that she would open up to and show affection towards- She changed his bandages every day multiple times, sang him to sleep, did everything she could to make him feel loved- And she still does.

He doesn't give up his point ever- It's no use arguing. Just like her, he thinks everything will come to him without working hard, but he truly cares about his daughter and could never like without her. She's the reason he lives.

Kim Minyoung| Mother | 46 | Business tycoon | Hard-working, alert, busy, unemotional. Minyoung and Hae-Jung have never gotten along and never will. Minyoung was never at any of her school events, never tucked her into bed, anything. It's an unfortunate kind of circumstance where Hae-Jung wouldn't care that much if her mtoher died and vice-versa. Her mother simply wants to gain more power.

Kim Chin-Hae| Younger cousin/ Adopted brother | 17 | High school student | Respectful, humorous, short-tempered, withdrawn. Chin-Hae was adopted by Hae-Jung's family three years ago when her father's sister and husband died in a car crash. Chin-Hae is the only one that Hae-Jung shows all of herself to, hoping that he'll come out of his shell and become the formerly bright, cheerful person he was before the accident that left the right side of his body scarred. Now? He simply floats through life.

Lee Taehee| Best friend | 20 | SM trainee and flower shop assistant | Easy-going, helpful, needy, complains a lot. Taehee and Hae-Jung met four years ago when Hae-Jung started as an SM trainee. Taehee was quite kind to Hae-Jung
and didn't mind her flaws, so they became good friends. Taehee wishes that Hae-Jung would open up more, but she loves her best friend and would do anything for her. Hae-Jung is really glad to have a friend like Taehee, because without Taehee, who else would she bother to like? Taehee really wants to be an idol, but modeling is an option as well.

Jung Hyerim (Eunji) | Good friend | 22 | Main vocalist of Apink | Funny, friendly, reckless, busy. Eunji and Hae-Jung met when Hae-Jung had a minor role in two episodes the the SBS drama, "That Winter, The Wind Blows." Eunji was very welcoming for the newbie actress, and enjoyed the girl's strange sense of humor. They exchanged numbers after Hae-Jung revealed she was training to be an idol and have been friends since. Eunji hopes to continue to make Apink a top group as well as act in many more dramas.
 

Son Areum | Rival | 23 | SM trainee | Confident, charismatic, uncooperative, disorganized. Areum, like Hae-Jung, is a great dancer. They have had many competitions and rankings where they were always fighting to be the better of the two. On top of dancing. Areum is a much better singer than Hae-Jung, which has always given her an advantage of getting into a girl group. Areum thinks that Hae-Jung has talent, but not quite enough. Even still they're fighting for the top. As of now, Areum is fighting to get into girl groups and has no other focus.

Hwang Yijeong | Dongsaeng | 18 | Member of Aeon | Cheerful, friendly, cocky, loud. Oh dear. Yijeong. Don't get me wrong, Haejung loved Yijeong to death, she's her dongsaeng, why wouldn't she? But Yijeong has an unfortunate habit of pissing Haejung off. Greatly. She doesn't seem to care about her image, which is something an idol should care about, right? She doens't behave like a lady at all- And where in the hell does that stupid confidence come from? She's only a lead vocalist! Still, when they do get along (Which I suppose could be difficult because she's an obstinate brat), they quite like mother and daughter- Though it's still somewhat to Yijeong's displeasure.

Kim Jonghyun is a really gentle guy. He always takes other's feelings into consideration and tries to handle things in the nicest way possible. His actions themselves are soft, and Jonghyun can't help but be a soft-spoken person most of the time. He's also very accepting- A while back he made a post about accepting ual minorities. He doesn't care about anything that may be "wrong" with you, he accepts everyone and everything no matter what. Jonghyun is a very intuitive guy- He knows when somthing is wrong with someone, and he's almost always right when it comes to instinct. This natural ability to know things comes in handy, especially when t comes to relationships.

Jonghyun is quite the romantic. Writing songs for his lovers, going on the cutest of dates- His favoritee thing to do is cuddle. He seriously is the most romantic guy you'll meet, it's an air about him that screams that he's absolutely amazing in all aspects of romance.

Jonghyun is a really busy person. He has barely any time for anything besides work, much less time for friends and family. He does his radio show evern night from midnight to two in the morning, solo promotiones more recently, as well as SHINee scedules. He write a lot of songs, takes care of his dog, he simply has a lot to do. He's quite stressed with all of these things to do- After all, being an idol is never easy, especially not for one tht's been going since 2008. All of these things Jonghyun can admit, but not the one thing that he hates to let anyone know- His insecurities. He's seriously not confident with his abilities, his looks since his car accident in 2013. Without SHINee, he feels like he's nothing because there's no one there to hold him up. It's something that hurts him to his core.
 

first meeting » Jonghyun and Hae-Jung meet after Aeon's debut when they're invited onto Blue Night Radio Show. These two hit it off pretty well as Cherry tends to be a very social person, so this radio show helped show her stage personality. During the first break, Jonghyun was very kind and gentlemanly towards the girls, which caught Hae-Jung's attention. He didn't seem to mind her immediate personality switch from Cherry to Hae-Jung, and in fact seemed to appreciate her ability to be so prefessional. He seemed to pay special attention to Cherry, and they exchanged numbers as sunbae-to-dongsaeng.

RELATIONSHIP STATUS » Strangers at the beginning, but quickly close friends
INTERACTIONS »  At first the two are pretty careful with each other as, well, they're sunbae and dongsaeng, so they have to treat each other the right way. Jonghyun seriously wants to get close with her though, since not many of his female lablemates have time to interact with him, and he simply wants a new friend. After a few months they drop most formalities, him calling her Jungie and her calling him Oppa. Hae-Jung can tell Jonghyun everything, and be the person she wants to be around him. When Hae-Jung realizes that she has a crush on him, she gets seriously embarassed but Jonghyun just kinds it really cute, even if he doesn't know the cause. It takes him a long while to realize that he likes Hae-Jung, but when he does he does that stupid thing where he tries to ignore her, which hurts her a lot. The have a scandal in 2018 where Jonghyun is seen kissing her, whoops, but they're able to basically play it off as a wrong angle of camera.

But they still love each other and try to make everything work out. Jonghyun and Hae-Jung make is no secret they want to get married and have kids, so Jonghyun's waiting for the right time to propose. After all, he's not getting any younger.
