in short, konu is the epitome of “CINNAMON ROLL TOO GOOD FOR THIS WORLD. TOO PURE.” in long, konu is the little pink-haired cutie all the girls love to dote on. (the guys dote on him as well but most of them only did it to get in good standing with the girls before konu’s natural kawaii-ness won over all their hearts.) all the senpais are constantly noticing him. but konu is just a shy, naïve little boy too adorable for his own good. he always wants to help out however he can and wont quit until the job is finished or someone older than him ruffles his hair and says that he’s done enough for the day. he always has a smile on his face and an infectious happy aura radiating from him (as indicated by the tiny pink flowers spinning in the air around him).
when it comes to older hyungs and noonas, konu is very obedient when they tell him to do something because he trusts and respects them and wants to please them. which makes it very easy for them (read: jeonghyuk) to take advantage of konu and put him in awkward/suggestive/erse situations without konu realizing it. but even when konu makes a mistake or drops something (like he will at least once every day), its impossible to stay mad at him for very long since he pouts and just looks so sad like a little lost puppy that you want to take him and hug him and pet his head and tell him everything is gonna be okay bb don’t cry we still wuv you~ …ahem, anyway. although konu loves to please others, when it comes to social interactions, he actually prefers to stay quiet and just stand in the background, listening to the conversation go on around him. back in busan, he would always ride his bike down to the cliffs at the sea edge and sit by himself, reading manga or just day dreaming for hours. being by himself and having his own private konu time is a daily necessity.

BACKGROUND ·
konu was born in the harajuku district of tokyo, japan. or at least, that's where he's assumed to have been born; he was "found" by a high school girl and brought to an orphanage in harajuku so that's what is legally put down as his birthplace. when he was about two years old he was adopted by son jinri and her husband son mingyu, a lovely couple who lived in busan, south korea that sadly could not have kids of their own.
konu grew up a very happy and content boy, he surprisingly has no desire to try and find his birth parents but he does love his Japanese heritage and wants to incorporate it into his life as much as possible. his parents didn't want him to be a complete country bumpkin so starting when he was about 9, they would send him up to their extended family in seoul for the summer. this extended family happened to be son jeonghyuk's family. now, being the timid boy that he is, konu attached himself to jeonghyuk's (and his best friend's seunghoon's) side for the summer, always following him around and trying to do everything he did, like the little brother jeonghyuk's never had(and never wanted).
a few months ago, konu asked his parents if he could go to high school in seoul (for ulterior motives that will be explained later) and because he is their only child, his parents said of course! and picked up and moved to seoul for him. and since he is going to be around permanently now, jeonghyuk had no excuse for not letting konu help out at the cafe. but because he's on the clumsy side, jeonghyuk and seunghoon decided to make him the cashier, their logic being that cashier would be the position konu could make the least amount of mess doing (and the fact that he's actually the best at math out of the group,not that jeonghyuk nor seunghoon are ever going to admit it.)

HOW THEY MET · the first summer konu spent in seoul and was following jeonghyuk around everywhere he met jeonghyuk’s best friend seunghoon. at first konu didn’t like seunghoon all that much, in fact he thought he was downright strange. but as konu watched seunghoon grow up and mature from summer to summer, everything changed…
RELATIONSHIP · now konu basically idolizes seunghoon. the older male can do no wrong in konu’s eyes and konu lives for when he is the reason behind seunghoon’s perfect smile and melodious laugh…*insert dreamy sigh here* the butterflies in konu’s tummy get all fluttery whenever seunghoon ruffles his hair or compliments him. konu likes to hug seunghoon (read: cling to seunghoon’s waist or arm) whenever he can. and seunghoon is the real reason why konu wanted to move to seoul; he wanted to be around the other as much as possible.

konu being the adorable little pup that he is and jeonghyuk being hella annoyed with him as always. jeonghyuk taking advantage of konu’s innocence and putting him in an awkward situation (like making him wear one of the female employee uniforms, complete with pleated mini skirt and thigh high socks, on his first day at work) for his own amusement. if seunghoon happens to develop a crush on a girl, konu not knowing and doing something to help seunghoon impress said girl only to realize after that seunghoon is flirting and gets jealous but keeps it inside. on konu’s birthday - the whole staff throwing him a surprise party at the café and there’s mingling and fun. konu gets seunghoon alone somehow out back or somewhere and confesses his crush to him with his fists balled up at his sides and his eyes squeezed closed because he’s hella nervous and then he purses his lips and sticks them out which causes seunghoon to laugh and ask what he is doing to which konu cutely replies “waiting for my kiss…that’s how it always works in mangas. one person confesses and then the other swoops in and kisses them…”,
(if they get together) seunghoon wanting to do the dirty with konu but has all this guilt since its konu’s first time and he wants to make it perfect but also cause he has qualms about konu being so young (konu doesn’t have a burning desire to do it but seunghoon knows konu would do it anyway just to please him), jeonghyuk being completely oblivious about seungko’s relationship until seunghoon shows up to the café one day with flowers for konu and kisses him on the cheek which causes jeonghyuk to almost faint and puke at the same time, jeonghyuk going all protective-older-brother and sitting seunghoon down and having a legit heart-to-heart conversation about what will happen if seunghoon screws over his little cousin (he may find him annoying but he still cares about him, they are family after all ).
