how you guys met? ;
it was your typical teenage dream story - the two had met in high school. both shared mutual friends and would all hang out in a big group, but they did not personally meet one another until the end of their freshman year. on the last weekend before school ended, their friend was having a birthday party at a fancy restaurant. however, it had two different locations and the friend did not specify which one. mark arrived at the first location and told his parents to pick him up later, but after they drove away he noticed that no one was there. coincidentally kelsey happened to arrive at the same time and both discovered they were at the right restaurant but wrong location. so kelsey offered to give him a ride and on the way there they had a pleasant chat and decided to hang out over the summer to become closer friends. (author's note - acually met one of my friends this way!)
how many years together ; they've been together since november 20th, 2008 - so almost seven years! kelsey asked him to their sophomore homecoming and both had a great time. at the end of the night, kelsey confessed that she had feelings for him and he wanted some time to think about his own feelings. he asked her out a month after homecoming because back then he wasn't quite sure if he truly liked kelsey, since she was one of his best friends. overall, mark and kelsey are a couple that get along very easily - fights and arguments are rare between them, though if they do fight, it lasts for about an hour before both reconcile and agree to drop the issue forever. they just bring out the best in one another and kelsey is probably one of the few who can really bring out the crazy side in mark. they've been together for long enough that kelsey is secure of their relationship - she doesn't mind reading fanfiction of mark or seeing "mrs. tuan" posters at concerts, and mark doesn't care if she hangs out with other male figures or calls other male celebrities hot. he not only sees her as his girlfriend, but as his best friend and confidante. he's quite protective of her and if someone dares makes her cry or hurts her, he will take action to punish that said person. mark is a true gentleman to kelsey, always leaping to open the door for her and helping her carrying her things. if kelsey's feeling tired and can't walk anymore, he'll offer to give her a piggyback ride or princess carry her.

what was your first impression of mark?
A : when i first met him i thought he was a quiet guy. i mean, he would laugh at our friends' jokes but never said much. after knowing him better though, i was happy to find out that he's more open around people he's comfortable with.
describe your relationship with your boyfriend in three words ?
A : cuddly teddy bear. i know that sounds weird, but he's my snuggle buddy and like your teddy bear, i can tell him anything without worrying that he will tell someone else. like your teddy bear, he will be your companion and shoulder to lean on.
what's his best quality ?
A : i love how straightforward mark is. i mean, i know some people can't handle being told things immediately, but i'm not that sensitive. i appreciate that he doesn't beat around the bush and goes straight to the point because it can save a lot of time and worrying. / laughs /
do you see him often?
A : unfortunately, i do not. being one of the top boy groups does has its price, you know? i'm lucky if we are able to video call for a few minutes. but when he gets a day off, he takes me out or comes over to my place to watch a movie. once, he came to the bakery and ordered a cake. it made me pretty happy to see that he visited me at work.

A : fun every day. she brings something new into the relationship every single day and it would be a dull day if i don't talk to her over text or on the phone. i'm pretty sure i will never get tire with her as a girlfriend - it's been seven years too!

A : do i have to pick one? / smiles dreamily and taps his lips / i really like kelsey's optimism and her lighthearted spirit. like no matter how dark things can be, she always faces with a brave smile and believes there is a better opportunity waiting. with the optimism she has, she helps people fight instead of backing down. the positive air she radiates is quite contagious.
were you scared to date her?
