eunchae is currently one of the principal ballet dancers at the korea national ballet company. she auditioned for the company when she was twenty-one and has been there since then. eunchae lives in a two-bedroom apartment in seoul with her best friend jangmi, jangmi's cousin kyungri, and kyungri's friend riae. she has been living with these three other girls since 2018 (2017 for jangmi), and they're all very good housemates so eunchae hopes to continue living with them.
on weekdays, eunchae wakes up at seven thirty in the morning and is out of the house by eight, eight ten latest, as she doesn't take too much to get ready. it takes her five minutes to walk to the train station and it's another twenty minutes to commute from her home station to where the korea national ballet headquarters are. she takes a two hour ballet class starting right at nine before moving on to repertory, rehearsal, or supplemental training like pointe work or yoga. occasionally she'll visit the physiotherapist if she has an injury. this tedious schedule usually ends around six. if it's rehearsal or show season, eunchae usually stays back to practice and perform until ten or sometimes even eleven at night. she hitches a ride home with a fellow dancer since it's dangerous for her to go home alone during that time.
her saturdays are pretty much the same as her weekdays, except dance starts at nine thirty instead of nine and ends by four pm (unless there is a show that day). she has sundays off, and she spends that free day resting her body or even attending a different dance style class, like hip hop or modern, if her body isn't too exhausted. she occasionally treats herself to a spa day, hangs out with her housemates, or goes to her parents' dance studio to teach a guest ballet class.

eunchae and jangmi wanted to find two housemates to make their rent cheaper, and jangmi's cousin kyungri and her best friend riae happened to be looking for housing, as the two girls were fresh out of college. so they connected and became housemates. unlike her outgoing cousin jangmi, kyungri is somewhat introverted so it was a while before she and eunchae got to know one another on a deeper level. but kyungri proved to be someone who cares for those she's close to. she graduated from culinary school and currently works at a bakery near their house, so she's always bringing home pastries for the girls. she also bakes healthy yet delicious sweets for eunchae since she wants her to enjoy them. when kyungri first heard of eunchae's relationship, she was shocked but happy for eunchae, though she warned her to be careful of crazy fans.

LOVE STORY:
eunchae and jimin first met in march 2015, when bts was filming the music video for "i need u". big hit actually had another actress in mind to play the girl in one of the scenes, but the actress backed out the day before the first day of filming due to an unexpected illness. namjoon immediately thought of eunchae as the backup actress and offered to have her come in if she was available. big hit agreed, and eunchae found herself on the set with one of her favorite boy groups. namjoon wasted no time in introducing his childhood friend to s. when jimin found out that she was a ballet dancer, he half-jokingly asked if she could teach him some ballet moves. they bonded so well over dance that it was clear that there was chemistry between them, so namjoon secretly gave eunchae jimin's number under the disguise of "oh, so you and jimin can talk about dance and choreography ideas." so in a way, namjoon was the one who set up jimin and eunchae together. they became fast friends who always texted and checked up on each other. eunchae was so easy to talk to that jimin found himself trusting her with his insecurities, and vice versa.

sometime in the middle of november, eunchae receives a package containing brand new repetto pointe shoes and a note with a quote from grease "it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's what you do with your dancing shoes" attached to it. jimin didn't leave his name on the note, but eunchae knew it was him - after all, he was the only person who knew her exact pointe shoe size. touched by this sweet gesture, she sent him one simple text message, "i want to try again, let me know when you're back in seoul." when jimin came back from the tour to celebrate christmas in december 2018, they met up at eunchae's home and stayed up the whole night catching up, talking about their relationship, and reaffirming their feelings. it was definitely difficult to continue the relationship a second time, but their bond was stronger than ever.

however, jimin's nonstop work schedule and eunchae's own dedicated schedule to the ballet company eventually took a toll on their relationship. eunchae saw how much bts was blowing up in popularity and she just felt that she was holding jimin back. she wasn't the neediest girlfriend, but there were times when she was feeling down and just needed cuddles from the person she loved the most, except jimin couldn't always be there for her. on jimin's side, he felt awful that he couldn't be the supportive, present boyfriend eunchae deserved. they decide to take a break at the end of august 2018 just as bts is about to depart for the us for the love yourself tour. they figured that jimin being away for a while would clear their heads and make them question if their relationship was really worth continuing.
two months passed, and jimin threw himself into the love yourself tour to distract the pain of being away from eunchae, and eunchae did the same with ballet. there were times when both would stare at their phones and be tempted to message one another, but they fought back the urge. they needed this break to think. when jimin was in paris for the europe tour, he remembered eunchae once mentioned that she would love to buy pointe shoes from the store repetto one day. he got a staff member to go out to repetto to purchase a pair of pointe shoes, and he was surprised that he even remembered eunchae's shoe size. that was when jimin realized that eunchae still mattered to him. he told himself he was dumb for doing this over-the-top action, but he just wanted eunchae to know that she was still on his mind.
sometime in the middle of november, eunchae receives a package containing brand new repetto pointe shoes and a note with a quote from grease "it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's what you do with your dancing shoes" attached to it. jimin didn't leave his name on the note, but eunchae knew it was him - after all, he was the only person who knew her exact pointe shoe size. touched by this sweet gesture, she sent him one simple text message, "i want to try again, let me know when you're back in seoul." when jimin came back from the tour to celebrate christmas in december 2018, they met up at eunchae's home and stayed up the whole night catching up, talking about their relationship, and reaffirming their feelings. it was definitely difficult to continue the relationship a second time, but their bond was stronger than ever.
their dating secret is finally out some time in december 2019 when eunchae posts a ig video of her practicing her pirouette turns, and an eagle-eyed follower notices that the person recording her facing the mirrors looks very similar to bts's park jimin. the comment soon catches the attention of other followers and people begin bombarding eunchae's posts with demands. the sudden attention causes several variety show hosts to ask jimin about his personal life, and his hesitation causes fans to question if he really is single. fans start following eunchae to work and waiting outside the company, to the point where the staff of korea national ballet confront eunchae. eunchae is forced to announce on her social media that she has been dating jimin for a while, and while she receives some negative feedback, most of her fans are happy for her and jimin.
big hit however, is furious with jimin for keeping his secret from them. although they do not threaten to kick him out of the group (they learned from cube's example that it wasn't a good idea), they pressure him into ending his relationship with eunchae ("listen jimin, do you think it's fair to eunchae that she has to deal with the publicity?" "you're being selfish if you don't let her go, she's an adult with other responsibilities as well."). both jimin and eunchae are heartbroken to the point where they begin to lose interest in their work, and fans are quick to notice the sudden motivation drop. after receiving backlash, big hit publicly announces that they have lifted the dating ban, and jimin and eunchae are happily reunited.

overall, jimin and eunchae are a couple who get along very easily - fights and arguments are rare between them, though if they do fight, it lasts for about an hour before both reconcile and agree to drop the issue forever. they just bring out the best in one another and eunchae is probably one of the few who can really bring out the crazy side in jimin. they've been together for long enough that they are secure about their relationship - eunchae doesn't mind reading fanfiction of jimin or seeing "jimin is zaddy" posters at concerts, and jimin doesn't care if she hangs out with other male figures or calls other male celebrities hot. he not only sees her as his girlfriend, but as his best friend and confidante. jimin is quite protective of eunchae and if someone dares makes her cry or hurts her, he will take action to punish that said person. he is a true gentleman to her, and is always leaping to open the door for her or helping her carrying her things. if eunchae is feeling tired and can't walk anymore, he'll offer to give her a piggyback ride or princess carry her.
in public, they're careful about their behavior and act like regular friends casually hanging out. if they see one another in public, it must be in a huge coed group, so it would not be unusual. eunchae often brings along jangmi and kyungri, while jimin would bring taehyung or one of his other non-celebrity friends. they keep the flirting to a minimum, but if you pay close attention you can tell there's something a little more than 'just friends' - their constant glances, his sly winks to her, her blushing whenever he 'accidentally' brushes his hand over hers. public dates with just the two of them are very rare, but when it happens, they wear baseball caps and dark sunglasses to protect jimin's identity. sometimes he will wear a face mask and she will wear a wig just to be safe. like most idol couple dates, they stay indoors, where she'll cook him dinner and watch a movie, or she'll sometimes visit him in the big hit entertainment studios to keep him company and dance together.
when they're alone, they let their cute couple sides come out. jimin likes to say he's selfish by keeping eunchae in his arms almost constantly, so it isn't strange to see her comfortably seated on his lap or lying on the couch with her head on his shoulder as they engage in an intense game on their phones. she just brings so much fluttery feelings to him and he never wants to let her go. sometimes, they just like to sit quietly by the couch with his arm around her, enjoying each other's company since it's so rare for them to have alone time. they're not into serious pda, though jimin loves sneaking a quick kiss on eunchae's kiss or lacing their fingers together whenever they hold hands. there has been several awkward moments where jangmi or the bts members have walked in on the couple kissing. jimin even hooks eunchae up with free tickets to bts concerts, which she brings jangmi along to. she tries her best to attend every fanmeet of theirs and when she receives jimin's signature, they pretend that they don't know each other, though jimin sometimes inserts a flirty comment such as "eunchae? that's such a pretty name!" or "you look like this really gorgeous girl i know."
