FUN FACTS
- Eun Hee’s name was derived from the two female leads who were popular at the time I started. Cha EUN Sang from Heirs and Cheon Song YI from My Love From A Star. But because Eun Yi didn’t look too good, I changed it to Eun Hee.
- Nam was chosen as her surname because of the Nam siblings storyline. This means that I did decide on their sibling relationship since the very beginning.
- If you read the second paragraph of chapter 1 very carefully, you would know she had a brother. This has always been there.. LOL
Eun Hee scoffed upon hearing the deep meaningful quote being spoken by a drama character. She grabbed a hand full of popcorn and stuffed them in in the most unlady-like way. Her overall appearance at the moment wasn’t very attractive either. She wore a big oversized shirt that belonged to her brother.
- Eun Hee was initially supposed to develop a crush on Dong Woo, her kind sunbae. And Sung Yeol was supposed to have the comedy relief role. But since readers shipped EunYeol since chapter 1, it somehow got switched.
- Hoya was supposed to fall in love with Eun Hee too. But his bond with Soo Yeon was too strong I decided against it.
- MBS was supposed to be a spoof between SBS, MBC, and KBS TV stations. XD The Yang Jin Man appearance in Chapter 5 was a parody of YANG Hyun Suk (YG), Park JIN Young (JYP), Lee Soo MAN (SM). And I hope it’s obvious that Soo Yeon’s father’s company Dizpatch is a reference to Dispatch, the Korean media who finds all the scandal.
- I wanted to write a frog-dissecting scene during biology class between Eun Hee and Myung Soo. And he would show his power to revive the death. LOL.. But it was too random, and it would make him too powerful.
- In chapter 42, there was a subtle foreshadowing of what would happen with three characters:
“Can we just quickly get this over with and have Dong Woo end it?” Hoya asked impatiently.
“Yes! I will end this beautifully,” Dong Woo said with a grin. “Even though I work 27 part-time jobs, my mother’s weak, my sister is in the US, and I feel exhausted…”
“Maybe you should quit some jobs,” Eun Hee suggested.
“Maybe your mom needs to go to a hospital,” Sung Jong said.
“Maybe your sister needs to come back here,” Woo Hyun added.
As we know, Eun Hee ended up declining some important job offers… Sung Jong’s mom ended in the hospital.. And Woo Hyun reaaally wanted Dong Woo’s sister to come back, yes :p
- Jang Hyun Mi’s involvement in this story was totally unplanned! Those who know me or read my other stories would probably know that it’s the name I use for…. my own character! XD HAHAHAHAHHAHA... But since people were interested when Dong Woo started talking about his family during the cruise ship chapter, I thought, why not? Woo Hyun deserves to be happy~ <3
- Starting Chapter 19 (The music exam), I already kinda sorta knew I wanted GyuHee together in the end. But I kept the Woo Hyun – Eun Hee ship going so it would be more dramatic when we find out they are siblings. Kekeke
- When I wrote The Pig Song, I knew I was gonna change the chorus lyrics eventually for Sung Gyu’s confession scene. So I wrote it in the way so it could be changed to have a completely different and sweet meaning. Did you like it? :3 The way he confessed was also planned to be different.
- Sung Gyu was not supposed to have amnesia!!! I had already planned the flow of the last 15 chapters where Sung Yeol was the only one suffering from amnesia. But seeing how many readers were panicking more about Sung Gyu rather than Sung Yeol, I changed my mind about the initial plan and created the one you all ended up reading. Hehehe.. Evill…. XD
- Ah Ri was supposed to end with either Sung Jong or Dong Woo. The trip/test of courage kind of chapter started the JongRi loveline. And they initially were supposed to get together when Ah Ri confessed, but…. I couldn’t resist another twist! >.<
- Myung Soo is based of Do Min Joon (My Love From A Star). Woo Hyun is Kim Tan (Heirs), Hoya is Gu Jun Pyo (Boys Before Flowers), Sung Gyu is inspired by Jang Joon Hyun (Trot Lovers). Sung Yeol was supposed to be like those nice mafia uncles in Dream High. Sung Jong and Dong Woo were based off on no one in particular XD
- All the places where Dong Woo works at are references to Infinite’s songs, if you haven’t realized. Infini-Tea, Tech Paradise, Ramyeon Destiny, BTD Hospital.
- The most memorable, daebak, stupid typo I made has to be mentioned here :p The part where Eun Hee was about to find out Dong Woo’s secret in chapter 43:
With a satisfied smile, she placed the note back on the message board. At this time, she couldn’t help but feel her mischievous side appearing. No one else had to know, but she was pretty curious about what the others wrote. Secretly, she started to pee at them one by one.
(Peek somehow became pee XD)
Anything else you're curious to know? :)
