— mr. and mrs. jang, the owner of silver hotel, had their second child and first daughter on 20th of july, 1998. her name is jang eunsim and she is now the youngest in the jang family. she has an older brother of 8 years,thedinosaur jang dongwoo. they were a rich family for they own a hotel but her father and mother never raised them spoiled. eunsim and dongwoo were cheerful kids. she didn't really excel in her studies but she was in the top 50 students, which is average. she was more focused on prettying herself up. eunsim and dongwoo were not that close due to the different gender, they have different interests. but dongwoo is there to comfort his baby sister. boys liked eunsim but she haven't liked anyone in elementary.
— when eunsim wass in middle school, she started thinking about her future. she learned that her brother will inherit the hotel alone. she thought of what job she wants, or wht course to apply in college. eunsim also thought of proving to her parents that she's independent and can buy things with her own money. she doesn't want to work for her brother in the hotel. so she started finding a job when she was in highschool. she started to study a little harder for her future too. one day, she found the coffee house in apgujeong, gangnam. she went to apply for a job as a waitress. the owner was hesitant to choose her or not because of her young age. but eunsim showed all of her strengths: continuous smile, friendly vibe, obedience and loyalty. she begged on her knees to the owner. she promised that she will do her best even she's still in highschool. after getting the job, she took home school. eunsim enjoyed her job. sometimes, she tried to study in her break or when she's cleaning.

— junhoe is a regular customer at the coffee house, when eunsim noticed that he only ordered black coffee all week. she said "why are you so bitter?" he replied with a glare and "Why do you care?". Eunsim just snickered and left. after that, they always give negative comments to each other. they were like enemies and eunsim, of course, 'compliments' him with a smile. he found it amusing to and have her answer back to his statement.
— one day, junhoe suddenly gave her a paper with a fake smile. eunsim didn't open it until she went home. she first thought of it as a another sarcastic comment about her but then, 'what if he's hitting on me?' she tried to shake off that thought and continuously mumbles that its impossible. 'sunday. 1pm. infront of the coffee house' her eyes widen, 'this is impossible'. eunsim read it over and over again.
— eunsim actually attended their so-called 'date'. they grew closer every minute passed on their date. they went shoppinganddidasmallfashionshow and ate some street foods. he said he wanted to work on silver hotel, eunsim was shocked but she did not reveal that her family owns it. after that day, they became frienemies (ahem. they still give harsh comments)
