Gossamer Eternity (poem)

At the River Styx's shore,

Death closes my eyes,

and I dream

of stars, infinity and Lies-

My Gossamer dress in the wind,

cobwebs in the rain-

and Pain,

kaleidoscoping away-

I remember roses in April,

m'aidez.

The music flies,

and ribbons made of cobwebs

like Danse Macabre

pirouette, jeté and End-

And then,

in the forest between breaths,

heartbeats, tick-tocks, flatline hushes-

I feel against my dress,

the Spirit brushes.

The Edge so near, They fear

they weep,

flowers wilt, but I sleep

and I dream

for eternity,

Evermore.

I tried copying Emily Dickinson's style and it didn't really work out lol
