Chapter Three

My Star

“Please, spare my life. I have a child.” The bloody man on the floor rubbed his hands together as if in prayer, tears streaming down his face as he stared at the gun in front of him.

“How dare you lie? We know you don’t have a child.” The man behind the gun seethed, venom dripping from every word. The man on the floor gaped, heart beating even faster than it already was.

“I-I-I don’t understand, I have a daughter, Somi, she’s six and she nee-” A scream burst out of the kneeling man’s lips as blood poured out of his hand. The shooter clicked the hammer once again, reloading.

“We checked your background information. Usually we let guys with children go but you’re just a lying bastard. Scum. You dare use a child as an excuse? Pathetic. Any last words?”

“You can tell that psychopath er that they don’t know what they're dealing with and is gunna get it one d-” Blood and pieces of flesh sprayed out onto the wall behind the dead man.

“Pity.” The shooter said, wiping off the blood that stained his face and neck. He pulled out his cellphone, calling his boss.

“It’s done.” He breathed, taking a drag off the cigarette he had just lit.

“Did you get the package?”

“Yes, I have it.”

“Good job. See you soon.” Click.

The bloody male pocketed the device before picking up the gasoline can and emptying its contents around the apartment. Taking one last look at the dead man, he threw his cigarette on the floor and watched the room go up in flames.

“Did you find him?”

“We found what’s left of him.”

“What do you mean?” Yongguk’s sharp voice cut through the speaker.

“His apartment was burned.”

“. Do you see Block B’s signature?”

“Yeah. Under the knee.” Sae Kyung plucked the cigarette from Himchan’s mouth and breathed in the toxic fumes.

“Alright. Scope the place then come back by tomorrow night.”

“Is that all?”

“That’s all.”

Himchan took the phone and cigarette from her hands while giving her stern look.

“You’ve quit for seven years. Don’t do this to yourself.” The man reprimanded, crushing the cancer stick under his heel.

“ happens.” She replied nonchalantly. Looking around the burnt room, Sae Kyung smelled the gasoline and ash in the air. A look of brief pain flashed through the black haired man, so momentary Sae Kyung wasn’t sure if just imagined it or not, as his eyes studied the woman in front of him.

“Don’t worry. We’ll g-”

“What should we do?” She asked, effectively cutting off his statement. She heard him sigh before addressing the room in front of him.

The room was charred black, furniture overturned and broken. The body of the man in question remained still in the center of the room, his face sporting burnt flesh and holes. An arm and foot was missing from the body, also a known signature of the rival gang along with their crooked, angular lowercase b present somewhere on the body they have killed. It was always distorted enough to be written off as a burn mark but Sae Kyung knew along with the rest of BAP.

Himchan pulled out his camera and took pictures, leaving not one inch from being undiscovered.

Sae Kyung looked at the scene with bitterness and pain. It was one she recognized all too familiarly.

Sae Kyung struggled up the stairs of her apartment complex with grocery bags full on each hand. She cursed under her breath, regretting her decision to live on the fifth floor of a building with a broken elevator.

Of all the luck she had, she just had to pick the one building with a broken elevator. It was ridiculous, literally the day before moving in the elevator was in top condition. The second the last of her furniture was in her apartment, the elevator broke down and wasn’t fixed even after four and a half years.

The only good thing she could think of about this situation was that her legs looked phenomenal but she’d rather have the elevator back than nice legs.

Sae Kyung trudged up the last of the stairs, the scent of urine and ash trailing back towards the end of her hall. Urine was a regular scent but ash was new. The tall female rushed to her door, heart pounding and vision blurred with unshed tears.

It couldn’t be. It can’t be. She hid so well.

Dropping the bags, she burst through the charred door only to face a burnt apartment. Everything was charred black, her furniture overturned and items splayed all over the floor. In the center laid a woman, her arm and foot missing as well as her knee cap which was placed pinned on the wall behind her embellished with a scratch in the form of a b.

Tears poured out as Sae Kyung clutched the body on the floor closer to her, sobs racking through her body.

On the floor laid a photograph containing two people, one with a large red X across their face.

Chapter 9: Well, she's alive, they have time until things explode and this exchange between her and Yongguk was way more than anything I was expecting from them, really! o.o But there is hope for them ;w; It's not big, but it's there.
Things could be worse. I hope Himchan can get well soon and that no one else get's hurt. ;w;

Chapter 4: I was just looking through a few recently updated fics and found this treasure here. Since there is no comment yet, here you go with an extra large one! xD
I like your style of writing a lot, it has something mysterious to it, yet it gives the reader many small details, like Youngjae who's examining the situation all the time or those little gestures that don't seem of much importance at first glance.
The concept of the story is nice, too. The way Block B behaves fits with what we know of them in real life, with their playful attitude, like in Very good or Jackpot. Furthermore, B.A.P is characterized very well too with Zelo being very mature for his age (Well, he has to be) and Daehyun as a ladies' man or even Jongup who is more in the shadows of the background, yet noticing everything.
The extra was really cool as well, I like it!
I hope it was okay to write this much, some authors don't like answering those long comments, but I felt like I just had to tell you this, you're a good writer and I'm totally looking forward to reading the whole story! Fighting <3
