SoulmatesYerin took a quick glance at her reflection in the glass door before entering the building where Jiyong's studio was at. She still wasn't used to the fact that she was friends with Kwon Jiyong that was once only her dream. The Kwon Jiyong that was once so out of reach. He was her star. “You're a star, Yerin,” she imagined hearing him say those words to her. Jiyong was picking up his brushes when Yerin arrived with two lunchboxes at hand.
“Am I right on time?” she asked
“You have perfect timing – always,” he told her as he set the brushes in its can
“Need some help?” Yerin offered
“It's fine. You'll get dirty,” Jiyong wiped his hands on his towel
“I'm used to it,” she said as she placed the lunchboxes on a long stool
“It's really okay, Yerin. I'm done.”
Jiyong stopped her from picking up a dirty cloth on the floor by picking it up himself.
“This studio does not look like it's been cleaned at all,” she was frank with him
“Ouch,” he put his hands to his chest as if being shot
“Well it is the truth, Kwon Jiyong,” she crossed her arms
“Ouch again, full name,” he tilted his head back
“Jiyong,” she said with a concerned look
“It's fine Yerin. I work better this way, in a mess.”
Yerin stopped pushing Jiyong to clean. I should know better. He likes things like this, she thought. Why was I so pushy? Bad, Yerin. While spacing out, looking at the floor, Yerin didn't notice Jiyong closing in to her. His right hand was on her head, slightly ruffling her hair.
“Aw, Jiyong, no,” Yerin quickly reacted and reached for his hand to stop him, “I got my hair done today,” she lied.
She didn't want to be touched so lightly by the man she loved deeply. And certainly not in a room where there was only the two of them. He might notice how she holds her breath every time they touch.
“Sorry,” he winked at her
A tease.
“So do you want to eat here or should we head home?”
Yerin and Jiyong lived in the same house with two other artists and Bobby. The house was spacious enough for five people, having four enormous bedrooms with a bathroom in each. Yerin and Bobby shared one room, but it could fit two beds. The kitchen looked like a chef's dream come tru
