"Why are you exceptionally quiet today?", Jiyeon asked Kai who finally got the time to visit her today after being busy for the past few days. Kai shook his head as he laughed. "You're acting exceptionally jovial. Which is rare. Did something good happen?" Jiyeon grabbed his hands and moved it about in excitement. "What if I told you Sehun and I made up?" Kai's smiled turned downwards. It was automatic, not as if he purposely did it. "Don't you think it's great?" It took him a few seconds before he could force out a smile and nodded. Now it was Jiyeon's turned to laugh because she found him weird. "Okay, what is it that you wanted to tell me about?" "It's nothing", he lied, hands still under her grasp. "You sure?" He nodded. Jiyeon wanted to get down from bed and Kai immediately stood up. "Wait. What do you think you're doing?" "Jongin, I'm sick of being stuck here. Sehun isn't coming until later. Can we go somewhere other than the hospital?", she pleaded, rubbing her palms together hoping he would agree with her. Kai bit back a smile because he couldn't allow that. She just went for treatment yesterday so she's not allow to do any strenuous activities. But the look that she's giving him just made him weak on the knees. He bend down to her level. "What's the magic word?" Jiyeon's eyebrow rose. "You've got to be kidding me." "No babe I'm being serious." She stared at him and sighed, taking in a deep breath. "Jongin, please? Buing buing!", she did aegyo and quickly covered her face with the pillow. Kai couldn't contain his smile anymore and smiled widely at the beautiful sight. "That's my girl", he gently took away the pillow from her and grabbed her hand. "Let's go somewhere fun."       "Hey", Suho greeted Chanyeol who was sitting at the dining table. "Isn't today Saturday?" "Yeah?", Chanyeol answered him before continuing his work. Suho took a seat opposite him. "Then how come you're not working?" "I quitted a long time ago", Chanyeol answered without looking up. "You what?" "You heard that right hyung." Suho was shock. It's because he recommended Chanyeol that job since he needed money. "Then how are you going to support both yourself and Jiyeon?" "That's what I'm trying to figure out right now. She doesn't want the money." Suho looked closely at the papers scattered all over the table. "What are those?" "Our parents left us a will and a whole lot of money. I can't use this money if Jiyeon doesn't want to." "What? But why?", Suho was confused. It doesn't make any sense. "Because I don't feel right", Chanyeol pushed the papers away. "And I think she's still hurt because of me." Suho didn't know if this would be the right time to do it because he thought, it's now or never. "I need to show you something." They both left the kitchen and went inside Suho's room. Once they were in, Suho locked the door behind him. Chanyeol frowned. "Why'd you do that?" "Because I wanted to show you this", he passed the papers he got to Chanyeol. "I'm sorry but I did a background check on Daeun and...what Jiyeon said is true. That dude in the picture with your sister shown before was indeed Daeun's brother."       "Thank you for the treat, I'm so full right now", Jiyeon rubbed her bloated tummy. When Kai asked her what she wanted to do, she told him she was hungry and he brought her to a famous sushi restaurant. "I didn't know sushi would taste this good." Kai wiped of the crumble at the corner of her lips with his thumb. "Haven't you tried sushi before?" "No", she answer in a low voice. "I used to cook my own food. Rarely spent my time eating outside." Kai hissed to himself. He realised he was being insensitive about her past. "I'm sorry—" "Why are you apologising Kai? Stop it before I stuff this wasabi in your mouth", she threatened, holding the bowl of wasabi in front of his face. "What did I miss?" "Sehun!", Jiyeon jumped out of her seat and leaped into his arms. "I thought you wouldn't come. We're almost finished." Sehun brought her down and wrapped an arm around her waist before looking at Kai. "Hey." Kai merely smiled and gave a small wave. "Where have you been?", she asked with a pout. "Unlike you, I've got a lot of important things to do. It's not that easy if you want to be a doctor you know", he pinched her nose. Kai cleared his throat awkwardly. "I guess I better go. I realised I have to be somewhere at this timing", he forced a smile before leaving them.   "Did the two of you quarrel or something?", Sehun asked when he saw Kai's odd behaviour. "We didn't. He's been like that since morning." "You know, we should do something before we head back to the hospital", Sehun said randomly and she looked up at him. "What should we do?"
