Zitao chews the inside of his mouth. He scratches his head thinking.

“I really didn’t see that Minseok. I am sorry.”

Zitao says shaking his head.

Minseok bits his lower lip. He wonders what he should do. He is worrying about a certain baby for the past twenty minutes now.

Earlier Minseok and Zitao sneaked to the Neonatal care unit just to watch the babies because oh my god those little bundles of life are just so adorable. It’s kind of a stress reliever. Sure the misery of life cannot be wiped out entirely, by the gibberish that pops out from those drooling mouths, but still there is something babies possess. They do have a miraculous way of making you feel better. But sadly Zitao and Minseok were kicked out, because apparently they were not supposed to stick their noses to departments they are not assigned to. But Minseok pouted at this; he is under Dr. Lu, a pediatric surgeon though he is not in the baby unit unlike Zitao whose attending physician is Dr. Park, neurosurgeon.

After having their lecture from an annoyed second year intern, whose name read Jonghyun, they opted to leave. But Minseok noted something as he turned away, capturing a baby grimacing, turning to blue for a brief second but regain the rose like pink color back.

“Does that baby have a condition? He turned to blue.”

Minseok asked pointing at the baby, who is now showing nothing abnormal.

Jonghyun threw a look over his shoulder to the said baby.

“Just a benign murmur. It’ll pass with time. Now would you two please get lost?”

“But-”

“I said it will pass with time. I am a doctor here so I know what I do. Now get lost!”

As Jonghyun barked at them, Minseok and Zitao flew out of the floor.

Minseok still thinks it couldn’t be just a benign murmur. That is why he is here, in pediatric unit watching Dr. Lu checking a little girl, who is now laughing as Lu Han prods his fingers on her tummy.

Minseok fidgets nervously. Lu Han rolls down the gown and ruffles girl’s hair. He stands up greeting the girl and catches Minseok staring at him as he turns. Lu Han walks to him smiling but his eyes flashes concern upon realizing Minseok’s obvious worrisome expression.

“Minseok?”

He asks. Minseok contemplates for a millisecond. He doesn’t have time, he decides.

“Dr. Lu, umm are you busy?”

He sounds hesitant.

“Not that busy. Is something wrong Minseok?”

Lu Han’s voice is dripping concern. Minseok elaborates, obviously worried.

“Well doctor, there is this baby in the baby unit, who I think has a heart problem. I saw him turning to blue but they say it’s just a benign murmur.”

He says in one breath. Lu Han tilts his head.

“Hmm, did you talk to a consultant?”

“No, a second year intern who claimed that he checked the baby.”

Lu Han nods his head and pats Minseok’s smaller back assuring.

“I’ll check. What’s the baby’s number?”

“1602. Thank you Dr. Lu”  

Minseok lets out a breath of relief.

Lu Han wonders in the baby unit. Babies are sleeping, some there little thumbs already. Lu Han coos at the adorable sight. Aren’t they cute little creatures who bring involuntary smiles to your lips?

He finds the baby 1602. He reads the health record of the baby checking every paper.

Then Lu Han starts checking up the baby, listening to his heart sounds. Baby wiggles a little feeling the cold diaphragm on his skin, little nose twitching adorably. Lu Han sees the discoloration that lasts for a mere second as baby yawns cutely.

“This is definitely not a benign murmur.”

He mumbles to himself eye brows creasing.

Sehun finds himself walking to the Neonatal care unit wondering what could be the problem. He just happened to meet the Gynecologist Dr. Kim an hour ago but he didn’t mention any things about babies having heart defects. It could be a new born one then. As Sehun passes the notice board he sees that Dr. Kim is currently on a scheduled surgery, which means that the Gynecologist is not there at the baby unit along with some other responsible positions. What it could be? It is an emergency obviously or he wouldn’t have got paged. 

Sehun hurries to the west wing of the hospital. As he takes the elevator to the neonatal unit his thoughts swirls aimlessly it seems, but around a brunette, a pediatrician again. Sehun shakes his head and gets rid of the thoughts. It amazes him because Sehun never uses his brain to go waste on useless things. He doesn’t seem to realize that despite his own concepts and theories, his brain does
