Chapter VII: Leeteuk

The Death Game

Running, running.

Get away, escape.

Don’t let him catch you!

More than once, she had nearly tripped wires, stepped on mines.

Countless times, she had found herself trapped in dead ends.

But he had not been behind her.

Finally sighing in relief, she ducks into a nearby chamber, wanting even just one second of rest.

But it never comes.

Instead, had her senses not been so heightened, a bullet would have entered her brain.

Her gun is out and ready, desperate and pleading.

“Willow?”

Leeteuk is ahead, scouting for Kangin.

Emikochie cannot stop thinking about Eunhyuk

Poor Hyukjae…

All he had wanted was a second chance at life.

Another chance to live.

Yet someone had been so cruel.

But what if he had already been suffering?

What if he hadn’t wanted to live in agony anymore?

Maybe his waist had been further injured.

It wasn’t much of a theory, but…

Anything to make it less heartless.

“Emi!” Leeteuk whispers excitedly. “I found him!”

She dashes ahead, glad that they could save at least someone.

But what is there but a cold stone wall?

And in that split second, Emikochie Kazuko remembers.

Her dream.

She spins around.

Leeteuk’s expression is no longer elated.

Instead, there is unspeakable grief.

She shakes her head.

No.

No, not Park Jungsoo.

Slowly, slowly, he lowers his hand until the gun is pointing at her heart.

“I’m sorry,” he whispers, and fires.
