I threw on a shirt and my best shorts in a speed I've never thought I'd be capable of, checked myself real quick in the mirror an decided that I'm presentable enough already.

My damp hair didn't matter at the moment.

When I reentered my room Lay was facing the window and played with a book on my desk. When he heard that I've entered the room he turned around with a expression I couldn't read.

I closed the door behind me and crossed my arms.

„So...? What do you want here Yixing?“. I tried to contain my feelings the best I could.

„You already know Minnie, don't act like that.“ he whispered. You barely heard him.

„I think it's better if I go now. Uhm... you're not crying anymore right? I'll see you then..“ he dropped the book back on my desk and moved towards me.

When he stood in front of me I gulped down. His eyes were blank and you still couldn't read the expression in it. It was like Yixing was a complete stranger to you.

Your heart dropped when his hand touched your shoulder just to carefully shove you away from the door.

He shot you a last glance and disappeared through the entrance.

It was Monday and you weren't really ready to face anyone of your school yet. Still, it would be really bad missing out on any classes you had today, 'just because' of Lay.

You packed your things, grabbed your keys and left the apartment in no real hurry.

It didn't matter to you if you got the bus to school, or if you had to walk. Either way you were able to sort out some things in your head.

When you made it to the bus station the bus was still standing there, so you decided to jump on. You tried to deny it but, deep inside you, you wished Lay would've taken the same bus as usual, but when you jumped on it, there was no smiling dimple.

Somehow relieved but at the same time disappointed you took the next best seat and put on your headphones to get rid of all the chatting.

A tear rolled down your eye when you immediately had to think about the one time you and Yixing were dancing to that song.

Back then it was 'YOUR' song.

*FLASHBACK*

~ one year ago ~

It was the party of the whole month, no, more like of the whole year. Tao just knew how to throw the best parties, it was like he had an extra sense for it. It was creepy, but still, you appreciated it.

He basically invited about half the school and still had enough space for another half, just because his parents owned a pretty nice villa. It had a pool in the garden, and you didn't even want to start off explaining how great the garden itself was. So... to come back to the story.

“What are you going to wear for tonight? Like I have bought some cute dresses but I just can't decide it's like aaargh.” Your best friend Jun-seo grabbed her hair out of frustration and laid her head on your desk. She murmured something but you weren't sure about what she was complaining now. Probably about her hair.

You grinned and patted her hair before packing out your lunch.

“HOW are you able to eat something??? I'm dying out of excitement I just can't wait for tonight and you're just sitting here like it's NOTHING.” She looked up to you through her crossed arms and just sighed when you smiled at her.

“It is NOTHING. Well.. no it's not nothing but it's nothing I'd skip my lunch for.” You took a bite of your own sandwich before someone grabbed it away from you.

“Mmmh I appreciate your cooking skills Minnie, thanks.” He grabbed a chair and sat to both of you. You just glared at him in disbelief.

“Give it back Lay, I'm hungry.”

“Oh well then we have something in common babe.” He sheepishly smirked at you.

“Stop calling me that, the others might misunderstand.”

“I don't ing care about what the others think, I am hungry.” He took another bite of you sandwich. You just kept staring at him.

Suddenly Jun-seo got up and grabbed Yixing's shoulders. “Yah, have you asked Luhan about it?”

“Yup” He nodded his head and took the last bite of your sandwich. You just crossed your arms and watched them both through furrowed eyebrows. “What are you guys talking about?”

You knew that your best friend crushed on Luhan since the first day she's seen him at school. You also knew that she desperately wanted to go to that party with him.

“Aaaand?” They completely ignored you and Jun-seo looked at Yixing with pleading eyes. “What did he say? Will he go with me?”

An amused expression hushed over his face and he just said “Will he? I don't know.”

“ZHANG YIXING, JUST TELL ME. Please.” He chuckled and showed you his beautiful dimple you wanted to kiss so desperately. You had the urge to just stand up and kiss it right there and now, but you had to hold yourself back.

He didn't like you the way you did. There was no way. So stop thinking about stuff like that.

“Well... yes... he will... “ Lay couldn't really finish his sentence because she just stood up and squeezed him to death. “Oh my god, Lay, you won't believe me how thankful I am right now THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG!!!” The she turned to you, grabbed your shoulders and shook you. “Minnie, I am going to the party with LU HAN! LUHAN. Oh my god I need to get another dress, the others just won't do, omg, Minnie, please tell our teacher that something really urgent came up, and I needed to go, okay? Love you, see you tonight WITH LUHAN.”

With those words she left you two in the classroom with a lot of confused faces looking at you direction. You have never seen her THAT happy and you just smiled sheepishly along. You almost forgot that Lay was sitting right next to you.

After a minute of awkward silence Yixing raised his voice again.“So... who are you going to Tao's party with?”

“Baek asked me.”

“All right then, see you tonight Min-jun.” He smiled at you and left you alone.

You didn't know why but his smile didn't really reach his eyes, and that made your heart ache.

6 hours later ~

When Baekhyun came to pick you up his mouth was open wide when you opened the door. You were wearing a pretty short black dress which had a pretty deep cut on its back. You didn't do much to your hair, but your eye make-up spoke for itself.

“Oh my god Min-jun, you look... incredible.” He gulped down and you felt the heat spreading over your cheeks. “Uhm... thanks Baek, you're looking pretty damn fine yourself.” You chuckled and blushed even more. He looked really amazing with his light brown messy hair and his light black eyeliner. You loved it when he applied it. He was the only person who could wear ANY kind of eyeliner, and that was something you envied about him.

He wore black tight and ripped jeans in combination with a basic white shirt. If you weren't already madly in love with specific someone you would've fallen head over heals with Baek at this exact moment.

“Shall we go then?” You just nodded and smiled at him. You closed the door behind you and left with a warm feeling scrawling up your body.

You couldn't hide your excitement even in Baekhyuns car who was giving you the most heartwarming smile you've ever seen on his face.

When you reached Tao's villa you already heart the music bursting out loud.

You quietly hummed along and opened the car door.

“Let's go then.” Baek put an arm around your shoulder and the both of you entered the great building. It was already filled with all of your classmates who were coming up to you and greeting you.

You looked around to look out for Jun-seo and Luhan, but they were nowhere to be found. That's when you decided that it was time to find the kitchen for some delicious snacks.

You excused yourself from Baek and made yourself on the way.

The hallway alone could've made a whole apartment, it took you ages to cross it to take the stairs to the next stage. When you remembered it right, the kitchen should've been somewhere on the left.

You turned around and crushed into a pair that just made out. “Oh, oh I'm really sorry, I...” You just turned away from them and ran into the opposite direction.

Finally you found the kitchen. It was already filled with a lot of familiar faces, but you considered none of them really as your friends.

You just grabbed a piece of pizza and decided to quickly go back downstairs, you didn't want to miss Jun-seo and Luhan at any cost.

The moment you stepped on the stairs one of your favorite songs came on. You rushed down the stairs and made your way to the 'Party room' as Tao himself likes to call it.

It was a huge room, with a pair of the largest speakers you've ever seen in your life and a little bar in the back. The room was filled with sweaty and dancing bodys. You took the last bite of your pizza and went to the back of the room, where you spotted Tao who smiled in your direction.

“I'm glad you made it Minnie, you look gorgeous.” He embraced you and gave you a drink.

You thanked him and took a sip.

“I should be thankful that you even invited me Mr.” He grinned at you and took a sip out of his own glass.

“So... where's Yixing? I haven't seen him yet.”

You were shocked. You haven't even thought of him one minute since you've entered the building.

“Don't know. But do you maybe know where Lulu and Jun-seo are? I've been looking for them but...” Before you were able to finish the sentence Tao just smiled and pointed at a pair on the dance floor which looked like it was just about to eat each other up.

You had to take a second look to realize that those two were Jun-seo with no one else than Luhan himself.

“OH MY GOD are you kidding me?!?!?” You burst out laughing.

“Well this went pretty smooth for Jun, didn't it” Tao chuckled before taking another sip.

“You know, if Lay wouldn't have asked Lu he wouldn't have been man enough to ask her out on himself.”

“I mean, she wasn't 'girl enough either you know” You smiled at the two love birds in front of you and sighed.

You wished for the same thing for you and Yixing but... there was no way. You sighed again when Baekhyun suddenly appeared in front of you.

“Hey, we came together, so let's dance.” He grinned at you and offered you his hand. You shyly took another sip of your drink before giving it back to Tao who gave you a questioning look.

“What?”

“Nothing, just go ahead, enjoy yourself.”

You nodded and took Baek's hand who pulled you along with him to the dance floor.

The next song came on, it was Sick by BTS. You felt how the atmosphere got hyped up. There was no one who didn't like the song. You felt the beat and watched Baekhyun who gave it all in front of you. He was a pretty good dancer, but besides that he had one of the most beautiful voices you've ever heard. You danced along and just enjoyed everything around.

For another three minutes Lay was deleted out of your memory when suddenly My turn to cry by EXO came on.

You looked at Baekhyun who was glaring at something behind you.

You turned around and were face to face (thanks to your high heels) with a freaking handsome Zhang Yixing.

His hair was jelled up and he wore a pair of tight jeans and a black t-shirt in combination. He looked so good, you forgot to breathe for a second.

He came a bit nearer and you thought your heart was about to burst out of your chest. He leaned in and screamed in your ear over the music “You wanna dance with me?” He stared at you and you just nodded at him, unable to bring out a single word.

That's what you hated about him.

When you were around him your brain was like non-existent.

You turned around to face a weakly smiling Baekhyun who just nodded at you and disappeared in the crowd.

You couldn't help yourself but feel guilty. But before your thoughts really reached your heart, Yixing was already pulling you to himself and wrapping his arms around your waist.

You weren't able to move a single bit.

Yixing realized that you stiffed up a bit and pulled you even closer (if that was even possible?!?). He grabbed your arms and pulled them around his own waist.

Then he smiled at you and started to move along with you to the melody.

You always knew that he was a great dancer so you just let him lead you through the dance.

It was amazing.

He then suddenly wiped a hair out of your face and smiled at you.

“You look really beautiful Min-jun, do you know that?”

That was it. You completely lost to him. You felt your cheeks redden up again, but you didn't care.

Everything was just too perfect.

He stared into your eyes so deeply, you were to one hundred percent sure he was able to read your mind right now.

You tried to look away, but his eyes were just too intense. It was impossible to look away.

Then his eyes suddenly wandered down your face to your lips.

He slowly leaned down.

Okay.

This was it.

You were about to die.

You forgot what breathing was.

Who needed it anyway.

His lips were just inches away from yours.

Then suddenly the music stopped.

His eyes widened he looked back up into your eyes and quickly pulled you away.

“Ah... well uhm … thank you for.. uhm... dancing with me.”

And he was gone.

I AM SO SORRY it's been literally a month since I've updated.

This chapter is a little longer, I hope this makes up for it >.<

3 more days and school will be over, and I will also be able to update more often.

I am not even sure how long I should take this story...o.o
