It was the first time I saw Kyuhyun look like that. His hair was slicked back and wet from the rain. His brows were furrowed in fury and his eyes were icy daggers that didn't fail to send shivers up my spine. It was like he unleashed some kind of evil, ruthless monster from deep within him.   The mugger's arms loosened around my shoulders for a second before tightening again. He twisted himself so I was the one who was facing the gun.    If things go wrong, I'm going to get shot. Kyuhyun, put the gun down, please. I haven't called my mom in a long time. I'm not ready to die. I felt hot tears stream down my cheeks again.    Suddenly, I felt Mugger Man move and I saw a flash of silver in my right peripheral vision.   A knife? Oh, no. Please don't let there be a knife.   Kyuhyun's face paled momentarily as he caught sight of the weapon before gaining back its composure. He took another step closer. "Two counts of thefts. Three counts of assault. I suggest you don't use the knife. You don't want to add attempted homicide to your long list of offenses, Im Jinho."   "Shut up. Don't think you're the only one who knows things around here. I know who you are, too," Mugger Man staggered back, the alcohol apparently still strong in his system. "You're Kyuhyun Cho, the big-shot cop who arrested half my gang."   A pleased smile flickered on Kyuhyun's lips. What the -? Suddenly, I heard another click and when I turned back, I saw Jinho take out a gun. He aimed it at us.   Then without a moment's hesitation, the trigger was pulled and a shot rang out, the deafening sound echoing down the rain drenched street. At the same time, I felt Kyuhyun's arm wrap around my entire frame, completely shielding me. I felt his body shake as the bullet made an impact.   Oh no. This can't be...   I was expecting him to collapse, so I reached out my arms to pull him in when suddenly, Kyuhyun turned around and fired shots at Jinho who was already running away.
